I own the miele and the cleaning mode for the milk tube is amazing and the machine make really hot coffee
thanks but the way you describe it sounds like there is not much of a big difference between the two machines I like more the preinfusion option but the new machine looks slower than most machines when you say come on in the morning does this means that I can set the machine to the time I want and the drink will be ready
Regardless of the price, what would you recommend, Jura J9 or Jura Impressa A9 ? I dont know if A9 is superior or not but A9 is cheaper than the J9. Are there any other cons and pros of one over the other. Can you please do a comparison video as well but i need your opinion at your earliest convenience.
I've had the Miele for 3 years now and absolutely love it! Just wish it had a second bean hopper

If I unplug the machine are the profiles lost? My coffee machine plugs into a switched socket.

Hi Gail . could you do a comparison between the nespresso _ Jura _ breville oracle and a manual one , lets sayyyy apartamento or something less expensive . please do a taste comparison and the performance and milk froth comparison maybe even noise comparison (which one is less noisy ) . i know these are very different but i have the nespresso and i like to change it and im very confused by all the options and the differences between the machines .thank you and i really enjoy allllllllllllll of your videos :)

So what kind of beans do you use for these type of machines? Regular or espresso beans, sorry, ignorant person here
Just make sure to avoid oily (darker roast) beans as they like to clog up these machines. With that in mind, any quality non-oily bean will work :)
Who makes the Miele brew group? Is it really a Saeco?
Miele does! No connection to Saeco ;D
The very first incarnations of the Miele built in superauto used a Saeco brew unit which is why you probably asked the question. They no longer do on their new in-house designed and swiss built units.
it is strange to me that the machines put the water tank in the back. That is something you need to access almost daily. Why not put the water tank access on the front?
Jura A9 doesn't produce a hot latte. Return back to the shop after using it coz i also have Jura J9.2 which produce hot latte

Nope! Miele is their own brand :D

Why would you compare a machine that’s half the price?
What a tease Gail! You've mentioned showing how the milk tube is rinsed on the Miele machine twice and skipped it. 😀 I'm just trying to keep you honest.
This review is self serving. As with many Jura units to get to the brew unit you have to break out a screwdriver and may invalidate your warranty. I looked up both publicly available MTBF data, warranty costs, and spoke to techs from both companies before buying the Miele 5200. The jura tech admitted to me that a full service would likely be required at 2000 cups. Not good when you realize that my family have enjoyed over 13000 with the Miele with no special service required. I noted that Jura is now copying a few of the innovations from the Germans!
As to new kid? This Miele is a beautifully improved version of the 5200, and is proven from an engineering perspective with what appears to be significant component reuse. There is no comparison. For our family its Miele all the way! :-)

Agree michael d - the other comment I will make is that the reviewer does not know how to say brand name Miele, which is a small thing perhaps but hurts the credibility of the review. If a reviewer cannot be bothered to get the name right, what else is wrong?
how the fuck was this review self serving? Its was a comparing review, either you like one or the other or both.. The Miele is hardly the Ferrari of espresso machines, it has plastic components just like the Jura A9. The Jura doses more grams of coffee. No Jura has customer access to the brew unit.
Unfortunately, the A9 does not come with a milk carafe, its an added expense... All these super automatics lack drink quality.
No matter how hard you program your machine, you will never get true Italians creamy micro foam, nor will you get true Italian espresso, these machines just can not achieve this.
I like the Miele better. But the ultimate test is the taste test :) BTW, If it comes from Italian, "Miele" means "Honey" and it's pronounced mee-eh-le. Put it on Google Translator and click to hear the pronunciation.
