Hey mate, can you shed some light on the use of strut spacers and extended shackles and raising blocks instead of proper suspension upgrades...Sometimes i wonder if they are really as bad as they are made out to be.
+Ryan P well on the front there is a torsion bar eliminator kit for the ifs.. you then need aftermarket coilovers and a arms. the front diff needs spacers to drop it. Then in the rear you can put lift blocks for ride height or a thicker leaf pack. Extended shackles dont add much really there optional. Superior engineering, Snake racing, Locktup 4x4 all offer kits for these models (just speak to them). But if you're looking at buying a ute with ifs... put aftermarket axles/cvs in the front.
thanks for the info, my question was more in regards to Is it "bad" to use Strut spacers and extended shackles? Ive heard stories of strut towers being destroyed from the use of strut spacers, and that extended shackles are illegal.....which has me thinking the Econo lift from snake racing isn't a good idea.
+Ryan P look theres always going to be a downside to anything.. extended shackles arent illegal from what i no.. drop shackles are... anything over 2 inches of lift needs engineering which is bullshit but 2-3 inches of lift no one will tell the difference.
I made it and loved it Roothy thank you for posting this video 👍🏻👌🏻
