Good video, I am building one with the same f405 but v3, I just want it to fly without the need for the camera, and my question is if the DJI 03 is necessary or can I use the control of my remote control
You can definitely use a different system to control the drone, just make sure you install the correct receiver that matches your radio
How did you tune this copter? Can you show us your setting

i want to build one with the dji system but reconsidering cuz of the recent ban would it still work with the dji system?
You can swap the DJI components for a standard VTX and receiver
