+Andrew Thrasher its dont matter how you do it just as long the o ring is lubricated so next time you need to take it off when your next oil change that it will come off easy

Nick the car guy I was saying filling the new oil filter up at least 2/3 full of new oil and yeah I know putting oil on the rubber o ring doesn't matter what oil it is

always fill new oil filter with new oil, that is much better than engine will run without oil 20 seconds or so
