Coming from the Grom world since 2014 and doing a lot of DIY and big bore testing and blowing up of engines, I find that I moved on to the 2020 tnt 135 that is a great platform to do a lot of neat upgrades to the engine. I have two Benelli tnt 135 2020 in Green and Red/white. I already replaced the battery to reduce weight with Lipo battery, replaced the exhaust system with black widow full pipes with amazon $49 muffler, replaced the sprockets from 15/36 OEM to 17/32. I found this combo of sprocket setup gave me th best of both world which is great take off at the stop light, lower rpm while maintaining a good speed such as 60mph and great top speed. The spark plug is also changed over to NGK CR7HIX. I do have in my parts box a Aracer mini-5 ECU, a DCR cam, and a 155 BBK kit from steady garage which uses Wiseco piston which I trust. The Aracer mini-5 was bought from Gear-Up which is a Vietnamese motorcycle vendor. My second benelli tnt 135 will get the CSC RX4 advanture motorcycle transplant motor with a lot of special parts coming from Las Vegas Benelli TNT bike builder and DIY tester who have already did a shake down test at 103 mph and still in 5th gear and did not go to 6th gear yet. Wondered if you had any comments about the Kymco Spade 150. Got a 2019 model with only 527 miles on it in my area. Thinking of it as a first bike to continue practicing my skills since I haven't ridden since taking the MSF course. Being 5'10 and NOT in the lean category, I was hoping to find something larger like a Ninja 250, but there's just not much decent used inventory in my area. What is listed ends up being a seller who has either "misplaced" the title, selling it for "a friend", or it's back-taxed several years with an expired safety inspection (If you can't pay the nominal inspection fee and annual tax you probably aren't doing the service maintenance on the bike either). If you do find a decent one without a grossly inflated price tag, there's a waiting list of others wanting to look at that bike. I expect to keep the bike for a few months before moving up. Thanks.
Barry, the Kymco Spade 150 is a fine scooter but know that Kymco USA is a mess these days and there are very few dealers to get service or parts from. If you have a local dealer for support, I would say go for it. A good place to find deals on is Facebook marketplace as well. Good luck!
Great review mate, thank you! I really like the styling, that exhaust tip is staying when I get one! I also like the way the motor sits as opposed to the Grom where it pokes out horizontally. Cheers from Australia! 👍
This video is when I first started my YT channel and is pretty bad. My thoughts are legit about the bnike and I hope you get a chance to test ride one. A year later, zero problems with mine. Thanks for watching. Eric
What a pleasant way of describing details !! I would like to know one thing. Can we ride this bike with pillion for long time? For example 200km. Will pillion be comfortable?
@Mr. What Thanks for watching and I have a whole series on this bike that may prove helpful to you. If you're near VA, you're welcome to swing by and have a go on mine. Thanks for watching! Eric
Barry, that is correct! What I don't know is if the new CEO of the MoCo will drop that line on what he calls the "rewire" initiative. Thanks for watching. Eric
I have a 16:17 CF MOTO, and I love it. I'm thinking about purchasing this little bike. I love the look, the color and the design, to me, is very pleasing. Fotlr me, it's two thumbs up. Thanks for the great review.
The TNT 135 speedo is off by 11-13%. You are not doing 65 mph. Install the SpeedoDRD H1 and fix it. Works wonders. The stock tires are amazing on dry pavement and gravel. When the road is wet they are horrible!
Cisco Julian where did you get the Grom in our area (Bay Area)? What’s the best price that can be expected? And do you suggest the benelli or the Honda?
Try this... speedo reset - You can configure that with the following steps: turn on ignition with both buttons on the left pressed. It should start displaying CC---. Use the bottom button to make the first - display 1 (so click twice). Use the top button to go the second - and scroll to 2 with the bottom button. 3 for the third - so you get CC 123. Press top to confirm. Next up is a value, probably F010.3. Using the same method we can change this. F011.3 is perfect for me (used GPS to match, it's trial and error). When you found your value press both buttons at the same time to confirm. Then test ride with, for instance, GPS on your phone to see if you hit the right values.
Seems like the kind of guy i want to drink a beer with, and a bike I finally decided to go with over the grom, although i'll probably buy one of them too. Thanks Dogecoin and Ethereum
I would too! I have a friend here in VA that has a Halcyon and he loves his. I chatted with him to bring it over and let me do review on it. Hopefully that video will happen. If you're ever in VA, hit me up and have a go on the TnT. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Found this video researching these because I was thinking about buying one. I see this was 7 months ago. Can you give an update on your thoughts with this bike?
Hey @Kraken's Garage & Adventures why would you throw your Levis in the Trash ? Cut them up and use them for shop rags.. I use my wore out T shirts ect for rags..
Another great review it felt like I was cruising down the country road on the little Benelli. I’m pretty much sold on this bike mostly because I like the design of the engine with the oil cooler and pump and the 4 valve head it just seems to be well engineered. The bike is beautiful and husky looking for it’s size and I’m going to trust the Chinese on this one. I like different anyway everybody has a Honda and I’m used to pulling for the underdog it keeps things interesting… Thanks
I did a 1 year review and shared my thoughts on this bike, the good and the bad. Overall it gets two thumbs 👍 from me. It's been really reliable and solid. Eric
If you don’t beat the shit out if it and break it in properly it will last just like everything else. People who complain generally beat the crap out of it day one. After 36 yrs of riding I’ve had failures with every brand unless they were brand new and I broke them in. OPP other people’s problems, that’s all you inherit when you buy used.
I'm not a fan of buying used either but if I do, it has to be a steal to allow for repairs. At the TnT price range I can't see a reason to buy used. They're cheap at a new price point. Thanks for commenting. Eric
Such a life. 3 years ago Virginia were my home. But last 3 years I'm in Cambodia. Month ago I bought second hand Benelli TNT135 just for 400$, I'm not joking. The year of my tnt135 is 2016, super good condition. Week ago I had a hard skin burn from pipe. This happened because of I didn't oil kick stand. After riding I kick my kick stand and It was not fully opened. Bike started to feel down and my right leg was burned during I tried to ketch it. So, I want to recommend to wear pants always. Pants have to cover all of your leg skin. I was wearing the sport pants which is little shorter than my legs. Now I can't walk because of this burn.
Looks like this TNT135 is like a LEGO. I'm watching your video and it is really helpful. I can say that stock tyres has to be changed because it's so slippery. I feel im cow at ice lake when im breaking. I did order from China few days ago back tyre to try which have better protector for Cambodian sandy roads. It's As a noob, I'm not sure I did right choice. My motivation was. Stock tyre is 130/70 12 and 56K (56 means up to 224kg load, K means up to 110 km/h speed). But I bought 130/70 12 and 62P (62 means up to 265kg load, P means up to 150 mk/h speed). I will try it in 1 month after post delivery if stock tyre will not kill me earlier. So, this model I chose, is it right choice? How do you think?
Chris, it really is a quality bike for the money. Just understand that it's only 135cc so tops 60mph in perfect conditions and 50 to 55 mph up hill or in the wind. If that works for you, you will have a winner.

I absolutely love this bike I deleted my catt on it And holy crap what a difference on it Eric I wanted to ask u I messed with the speedometer a while ago and it threw it off from what I used to get doing full speed it used to get up to I think like 72 and now it only hits up to 55 top speed what do I do I watched a few of your videos on it and I tried them all and it didn't work
With the speedometer calibration, it's truely only doing 55 to 60 mph. That's all the bike has. Can you pull up a GPS app and track the speed with your phone vs the speedometer display to get a better feel for how far it is off? Eric

HD's are getting better and much more reliable .. so now they will be a glut of nice used low milage bikes on the market as their owners get too old to ride..
Benelli is Italian but they make their bikes in China just like Kawasaki has plants in the Philippines and Indonesia to me the benelli feels just as good as the grom or Z125 I like that the have a wider seat I feel too compact on the grom
I am considering this bike for refreshing my basic skills as well as practicing some more advanced skills in an empty parking lot cos I have been off the saddle for well more than a decade and riding on public rd is not my thing. With that said, would you reckon this bike would fit for my purpose? I am also learning how to do maintenance for bikes from my friend and being a small single cylinder engine, it shouldn't be rocket science...
Ken, it will fit the bill nicely for you intended purpose but when you get back into riding the 135 will be anemic. Don't get me wrong, it's an overachiever in it's class but it is still a mini moto. That said, this is the perfect platform to learn how to do maintenance on your own bike. I recently posted a "how to" adjust your valves on this bike. There's a couple others on maintenance as well. Good luck! Ride swift, ride safe. Eric
I made all the content on how to maintain your TnT that I wanted to do. It's time to try another mini moto and start another series. I'm sure I'll upset a few Benelli riders though...
I got a Honda grom 2 years ago they are not made in Japan anymore , But somewhere else in the far east , And it was a complete pile of rubbish frame welds going rusty at 3 months old and only 70 miles on the clock , Honda coustmer service was terrible and I had to threaten to take them to court before they gave me a refund , Personally I now have a Suzuki for the back of my motorhome and very happy with it , Honda grom or a TNT ? Easy choice benelli every time . Honda definitely isn't what it used to be .
Wow. I'm sorry to hear the Honda had so many issues. It sounds like you're towing it behind a camper? If so, that awful hard on bikes getting hit with the swag from the road. Thabks for watching and commenting. Eric
grom is 4k out the door(w/dealer fees), tnt is 3300 out the door. You,re saving 700 bucks if you don't buy a grom. It doesn't seem worth it for me personally to get a tnt135 with that has no history on reliability, cheap tires, the ride is harsher than the grom. By the time you do the upgrades your paying more than a grom. why?
Antonios, you make a valid point but I paid quite a bit less than 3300 otd, plus add in 10mm wider forks, 10cc bigger motor, imo better instrumentation, etc etc. So for many it may be a better value. However the tried and true Grom is still king!

Eric

Great video...I am getting one of these. I was looking at a ct70 clone. But this seems much better.
You're going to love it!
What a pleasant way of describing details !! I would like to know one thing. Can we ride this bike with pillion for long time? For example 200km. Will pillion be comfortable?
It will do it but the seat is so small I do not think it will be comfortable. Thanks for watching. 🏍💨🐙
Well said video Kraken ! Gonna buy one once the snow leaves. Cheers !

I have a 16:17 CF MOTO, and I love it. I'm thinking about purchasing this little bike. I love the look, the color and the design, to me, is very pleasing. Fotlr me, it's two thumbs up. Thanks for the great review.
It's a great bike and you'll enjoy it. I hope Benelli strengthens their dealer network here in the US more. Thanks for commenting.
Excellent review, thanks a bunch!
Thank you fro watching and commenting. I have quite a few TnT 135 videos posted and working on more!
Eric, always enjoy your video’s . Looks like a fun bike. I do like the color.
Thank you for watching and I hope you enjoyed it.
The TNT 135 speedo is off by 11-13%. You are not doing 65 mph. Install the SpeedoDRD H1 and fix it. Works wonders. The stock tires are amazing on dry pavement and gravel. When the road is wet they are horrible!
Thank you for the heads up and I'll search for the speedoDRD mod! Also confirms my belief in the Cordial tires. Many thanks.
There’s a simple fix by using the two buttons on the TNT display and changing the some numbers around to fix the speedo off set, no money spent.
Well thanks. Apologies for the poor quality on this video as I had just started my YT channel. Enjoy your new TnT!
I’d love to see a comparison between this and the Kymco spade. My Janus has a Chinese motor and it’s been great!
I would too! I have a friend here in VA that has a Halcyon and he loves his. I chatted with him to bring it over and let me do review on it. Hopefully that video will happen. If you're ever in VA, hit me up and have a go on the TnT. Thanks for watching and commenting.

I'm so sorry to read this news. I hope you heal up fast.
I've been seriously considering getting one.
Chris, it really is a quality bike for the money. Just understand that it's only 135cc so tops 60mph in perfect conditions and 50 to 55 mph up hill or in the wind. If that works for you, you will have a winner.
@KrakensGarageAdventures do you have anything about adjusting or checking ralenti on this machine?
Thank for sharing good stuff!

I absolutely love this bike I deleted my catt on it And holy crap what a difference on it Eric I wanted to ask u I messed with the speedometer a while ago and it threw it off from what I used to get doing full speed it used to get up to I think like 72 and now it only hits up to 55 top speed what do I do I watched a few of your videos on it and I tried them all and it didn't work
Can u plz help me out much appreciated
With the speedometer calibration, it's truely only doing 55 to 60 mph. That's all the bike has. Can you pull up a GPS app and track the speed with your phone vs the speedometer display to get a better feel for how far it is off? Eric
I do love the design
So do I!
I couldnt get one so i settled for a Kawasaki Z 125 Pro in green.

I have purchased last tuesday . Happy as a dog Einhell two tails 😛
I’ve seen your vids ( oil change) and have some doubts . Not all filters has the center oring. Do you know if it must be fitted ? I bought the genuine one and it doesn’t come with.
Regards from South America/ Chile 👍
Hi Filipe, on the next oil change I will be using the genuine filter. I want happy with the force fit on the one I used. Congratulations on your new bike bro! What color did you get? Eric
White one 😀
Let’s talk by whatsap. Number?
I believe the speedometer can be calibrated manually to show the correct mph
I haven't seen a manual way to do this. Do you have a source for this information?
What’s a great tire pressure to keep the tires at?
COLD TIRE PRESSURE
[FRONT] 33psi (2.25kgf/cm2) [REAR] 33psi (2.25kgf/cm2)

Wasn't HD going to sell a BEneilli desinged China built HD branded small CC bike in Asia ?
Correct, I belive they're moving forward with that just not in North America.

@@mikeskidmore6754 I read that as well and I can't say it didn't bring a smile to my face. No disrespect to my India brothers that ride out there but HD needs to made here.
@@KrakensGarageandAdventures I have no Problem with Companies expanding into other Countries .. but why would HD sell $2,500.00 bikes in India when they normally sell $25,000.00 bikes with a $2.500.00 dealer mark up on them ?
HD's are getting better and much more reliable .. so now they will be a glut of nice used low milage bikes on the market as their owners get too old to ride..
Benelli is Italian but they make their bikes in China just like Kawasaki has plants in the Philippines and Indonesia to me the benelli feels just as good as the grom or Z125 I like that the have a wider seat I feel too compact on the grom
I agree, and a real value at its price point. Thanks for commenting.
Not to mention it has an actual oil filter.
You make a good point I should have mentioned.
Eric
@@KrakensGarageandAdventures thanks a lot for your kind hearted and excellent advice sir !

I made all the content on how to maintain your TnT that I wanted to do. It's time to try another mini moto and start another series. I'm sure I'll upset a few Benelli riders though...
Oh yeah I like your hair
Haha! When god was giving out hair, I went back for seconds.
Eric

I'm working on it but I'm down now due to some surgery. Thanks for watching and commenting. Eric
grom is 4k out the door(w/dealer fees), tnt is 3300 out the door.
However the tried and true Grom is still king!
legislation change anti-lock brakes not selling the Grom anymore in australia, it wont becoming here.
That's a shame, as it's really a good little bike at an affordable price.
Good video , i lovethat bike, but Here in México Beneli is not popular , people dont trust because is made in China, as you say, welcome to the global world jajajaja iwill get one next year , thank you for the information SALUDOS 😊
