    Thank you guys for putting up this video. You just saved me from being scammed: at a local repair shop they were telling me they have to completely remove the motor to perform this adjustment! :o Thanks God I decided no to let them do it, and thank you and your son for showing that it is not required to remove the motor.

    If you have the time, could you potentially also do a video on how ot change the Timing Chain Tensioner? This is something that has to be done at the 16.000km mark!

    Hey not sure if I asked this question but the bike idle and dies. I adjust the valve, change the battery, added new spark plugs and it still idle and dies. Do you or your son would know how to fix?

    Perfect this confirms my buy a bit more
    I don't want another bike with shims.
    Still not sure. Grom or benelli

    • @SuperFuryMan
      @SuperFuryMan  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad I could help. I'm really enjoying my Benelli it works great for me. The seat is a little higher so it fits me nice. My son has a Grom and he thinks the higher seat of the Benelli feels too much like a "big" bike. There are a ton of aftermarket parts for the Grom vs. the Benelli - so if your really into modding then Grom is the way to go for now.

    Hi there.
    I have 2 questions:
    1) Do we need to adjust the clearance of BOTH the inlet and exhaust tappets while the marking is at T1?
    2) For a 150cc Benelli, in your opinion, what would be the ideal valve clearance value? I do not have its owner's manual and cannot find an answer online. I would really appreciate a little help here.
    Thank you so much for the video.

    • @SuperFuryMan
      @SuperFuryMan  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As far as I know yes you can adjust both.
      Here are the clearances: IN: 0.08 ~ 0.10mm EX: 0.08 ~ 0.10mm

    How often does this have to happen? I'm looking at getting the 135, 1st oil and valve adjustment seems to be 600 miles in, when's the next one?

    • @bladerunner198306
      @bladerunner198306 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      its a break in thing for the engine.. its not like its every 600 or nothing. its a longggggggg ways after that. its fairly the same with all "small" engines. Just look up basic maintenance intervals for pretty much any size motorcycle or scooter and should give you a general reference point and knowledge..

    I'm trying to get this done but I can not figure out what .08mm is. I purchased a feeler gauge at the auto store but i do not know how it really read this. Is there something specific I'm missing?I have a .004-.025 in inches and .102-.686 in metric

    • @racylaserjet
      @racylaserjet 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Derek Andrews you need another set of guages that has .08 and .10 mm or measurement in between. Technically -.102 is a wee bit out of spec

  • @kennyrayamajhi2686

    My TNT 135 has the same problem, on the right side of the engine. Could this be a solution? Im not an expert on the matter, The guys at Benelli told me i can only remove or fix it after 2000KM.

    • @SuperFuryMan
      @SuperFuryMan  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Typically you wouldn't just hear it from one side of the engine but, I guess it would be possible. I'm not sure why they are telling to 2000Km when the manual states to check the valve clearance at 1000Km. If your careful and take your time, checking the valves is not too difficult - at least you could rule out that as an issue.

  • @quicklude6944

    It has to be at top dead center on the compression stroke correct?

    • @SuperFuryMan
      @SuperFuryMan  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is correct. You can check that by feeling that slight movement of the rocker arm. My son demonstrated that in the video. If you don't feel that movement you need to rotate the engine 360 degrees. Thanks for watching!!

  • @davide60639
    @davide60639 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Mine has a T2 mark. Is that the point I should be using?

    • @SuperFuryMan
      @SuperFuryMan  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There should be a T1 mark opposite from that mark - that should be the one to use.

    • @gavinr1834
      @gavinr1834 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      T1 and T2 marking would be for checking the exhaust valves and the inlet valves as both valves open and close on different strokes of the piston. The marking is usually called TDC (Top Dead Centre) this is when the piston is at top of the stroke, so this when either the inlet valves are open fully (T1 )or when the exhaust is open fully (T2).

    Why do you need to do a valve adjustment at 600 miles?

    • @SuperFuryMan
      @SuperFuryMan  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is recommended in the owners manual. Not sure why they do it at 600 miles but, mine did not need adjustment - just checked them and they were fine.
