    I'm so glad you posted this. I knew this was the case and understood why it was with the shock but the fork I wasn't clear. Knowing there is no rising rate linkage in the fork (obviously) and valving is velocity sensitive....I didn't consider the fork would extend a bit with stiffer springs increasing the air volume. This got me up to speed!

    When changing spring rates , this must alter front sag, how much would you change the fork height in the clamps?

      That’s the point. If your springs aren’t set for your weight your sag will be off. After setting your spring rate/sag properly you can adjust handling with the triple clamp height, among other things.
