I'm a Halladay supercollector (by my modest standards!) and I have never heard of this card. Thanks for putting it on my radar. He also has a SSP from 2011 Topps with a 'spark' that is also probably buried in a few boxes of commons somewhere. He actually had autos in 1997 Bowman signed with blue, black, and gold ink, with gold being the rarest. By today's rules they would be prospect autos, but things were weird back then and it makes cards from his actual rookie season, 1999, much more affordable. Thanks for the great content!
Strasburg was wearing the Elvis Silver wig which was short lived in 2010 after washington started losing. Was pied during his rookie debut against the Pirates on 6-8-2010. I think he had 14 strikeouts on his winning debut
Nice! First of all, if you’re on instagram, make sure you’re following all the accounts that participated in SSP Thursday yesterday, search for #sspthursday. That is a great way to get some ideas about what people have and see what you might gravitate towards for your collecting! And if you don’t yet have a card account on IG, start one! And reach out with questions to me @myfavoritecardboard and especially Chris as he’s a true SSP expert @baseballcardaddict. Thanks for watching and for the comment - good luck!
Great stuff guys!! I have a few different 2012 TC Image Variations, sadly not the Halladay. I have the Lincecum, Tulo, Montero, Ichiro, and I think the Verlander. If you ever need any Ichiro image of his Variations before 2020 I can provide those. Keep up the great work fellas!!
Awesome video. I've been picking up Opening Day Boxes from multiple years for cheap. Love the hunt . Are you guys into Dugout Peeks SPs? Awesome images...🍀🤘
They are a LOT of fun to collect. If you haven’t yet checked out our video titled, “What is an SSP?” Please do so for a brief primer. But to answer your question, we don’t know print runs for SSPs, and they vary greatly by year and set - part of what makes them a fun and kind of mysterious part of the hobby. Thanks for watching!
How about the sneaky SSP image variations you have to be aware of visually released in 2023 Topps Chrome platinum anniversary great video always enjoy the content
Got a question about getting cards signed , Is there bump value or would it be more of a personal collection.. and who would certify it if you wanted too sell it
Yes! Thanks for checking that out. Also, PSA will authenticate and encapsulate your autographed card which would protect it and make it much easier to sell if/when you want.
Of course we do! You can still find Freddie Freeman’s 2012 and 2013 SP’s at very reasonable prices. Those are his first two. A couple of interesting images. The 2019 Topps Acuna SP is a really nice card, and has he topps gold cup on it. Nice raw copies should be in your price range. Thanks for watching! We’re always here for Braves card questions - and feel free to hit me up on IG as well @baseballcardaddict
Hey Chris quick softball question, my brother is moving back into town this summer and I’m switching from shortstop to center fielder and my 11 inch mizuno classic pro is not going to get it done. Wondering what glove you use?? Rawlings, Mizuno and what size 13 inches ??
Jeff here: I play outfield but never transitioned to a traditional softball glove. I use a Wilson A2K baseball OF glove. It’s a 12.25 inch, so not nearly as big as some softball folks prefer, but I love the control I feel with it on. Definitely try a few out to get a comfort level if you can. Good luck!
Nothing wrong with that! If that’s what you’re comfortable with, go for it. I know they make some great gloves. But yeah, you’ll definitely want something bigger for the OF.
@@Blabbin_Bout_Slabbin Jeff do you or Chris collect any vintage cards?? Man I’m trying to get into it but kinda struggling. I have a 1966 mantle PSA 5 and a few Mayes raw cards but I just can’t really get into it
@@old-schoolrookiecollector1667 Chris has a couple older cards from his prior collecting life, but neither he nor I are really into vintage. I tried: picking up some lower-end graded Hank Aaron and Mickey Mantle -- but just couldn't get into it. I love getting to watch the players I collect.
Another fine installment! Thanks gentlemen! Must have been laundry day-first time I’ve seen Chris without the Braves jersey-barely recognized him lol.
Haha! Chris was wondering if anyone would notice! Thanks for tuning in.

Excellent reminder! Thanks for watching!
It's so refreshing to learn about non - rookie cards. Thanks a lot, guys. Would love more of this.
Appreciate that. We love to talk about these, so there will be more!
Really solid cards.
