What's your favourite? I think sonically it's Back Door for me 🤩
Hard to pick… but I do like Back Door the best (of the 3 main tracks) and Neverending Story, because it’s a totally different feel and can’t compare them (the vocals and emotion this stage holds is hard to match) ❤️
Really hard to pick. I like them all and other songs from SKZ. They've produced a lot considering they're active since 2018 (they were formed during a reality show in Aug-Dec 2017). They also produce their songs themselves: 3racha is a subunit who also has their own songs (Bang Chang, Chanbin, whose rapping voice you liked and thought he changed in Thunderous, and Han, whom you've called the boss in Thunderous). If you get into Stray Kids you will realize that all the members can sing and rap and obviously dance they are really talented Chan, Changbin, and Han (3racha) compose and produce all their songs. JYP trusted Chan so much as the leader to choose the members of the group which is the first ever group to be able to do that. Lee Know (Minho), Hyunjin, and Felix sometimes do the choreography so they are self produced.

The deep voiced guy is Felix. He's Aussie just like Bang Chan (another member of Stray Kids) and BLACKPINK's Rosé. Yes that's his natural voice.

I still react to his voice, even if I’ve been following them since debut XD I saw a picture of a lot of trainees from JYP, and a couple of those pictures were boys from Stray Kids, pre debut. Felix was so cute, when I laid my eyes on his picture. I already knew he was gonna be my bias, but who would expect such a deep voice from a man with a small, freckled face and big eyes? My heart literally stopped beating for a couple of seconds XD And it still does that to me, sometimes
It's true that people call their music noisy or "construction music", hence all the references in the songs, and Chan himself reacted to that by saying that the group does construct their own music so in a way it really is construction music and they're proud of it. Really cool that you caught all of that on your first introduction to the group
If you look at the title of their new album it is NoEasy but the dashes from the E are faded so it says NOISY. They Definitely play off the critique.
Yeah this is why I wasn’t into them at first, they don’t have my style of music at all. I’m still a stay though and I absolutely love their humour 😌 but i’m warming up to their music.

I can see what the person recommending you these songs is order did. Their three songs with MV were strong on rap and the last one was focused on vocals basically showing you Stray Kids can do it all. Singers rap when it's needed and rappers sing when the song is on more softer side. Their discography is crazy, from only vocal songs to only rap songs!
Also "STAY' is a fandom name so the sentence "YOU MAKE STRAY KIDS STAY" has so much meaning in the fandom

Han was amazing and he is amazing in so many ways with his 3racha talent, as a performer and rapper but as was said, minhyuk declined because his low tone rapper voice isn't made to do that, and he's enough of a pro to recognize that. Now if the original BTOB vocals are around, you can bet it'd be a cakewalk.
BTOB vocal line is no joke, the Love Poem trio behind the scenes pretty much showed it was a Silverlight sunbae skills flex.

First of all YASSS TO YOU CHECKING OUT STRAY KIDS!! Second, yes that is Felix's real voice.
Both Chan (Bang-Chan) and Felix grew up in Australia, I'm weak for those accents... Felix is my bias but Chan is definitely a close second. I've been a STAY (Fandom name) pretty much close to their debut. I'm really excited to see what you think of all of them individually. All of them seem pretty diferent but if you see them together they are such a fun bunch and reaally get along with one another so well. Neverending Story is a part of the OST for the drama, Extraordinary You. And Yes all of them can actually sing too.

SKZ also have a song "My Pace" that has race cars in the MV and the lyrics talk about not comparing yourself to others and finishing your race at your own pace. I think the race car in God's Menu is bringing that idea back with SKZ doing their music their way at their pace. For your next SKZ reaction try their pre-debut song Hellevator. It is honestly hard to believe they are rookies here. My favorite vocal song is the underrated "Chronosaurus". Chan's vocals became my personal favorite with this song. What ever song you pick next you won't be disappointed! Glad you enjoyed SKZ!!!

the tortoise and the hare, it's a whole rap song there's no mv or performance but this song is slap so you should hear it
blueprint, good vibes song (personally one of my favorites, such a comfort song)
ex, like neverending story it's a love song but the lyrics are more talking about problems (in mv there are things about depression, suicidal thoughts, drinking issues)

@@Yetti. yes all, the concepts they have for an one album it's insane (there are party, diss tracks. emotional love and emotional psychological songs. also there are summer vibe and mature sexy songs too) honestly all my emotions were mixed while listening to the album. i danced, i cried, i had a heart attack

btw they're self produced group so they don't have to stick a concept what company decided (since debut and even before the debut they're making their own songs. in skz there's a sub unit call 3racha they're the first three members of stray kids and predebut group, mostly they're the charge of composing, producing and writing lyrics but not only these three all members are helping song making. in stray kids channel you can see playlists like skz-player or skz-record where the members are shows their self-produced songs, own choreos and covers. they're free releasing songs when they're want. literally even before the comeback we were getting a new song like every week)
Also Another Day is such a beautiful stripped back song with such relatable lyrics

The race car part in God’s menu is representative of competition. They also produce a lot of their own music. Dabble into looking up “3 racha”. Also “stays” are their fandom name.
It is true that Stray Kids have a lot of variety in their discography!! If you’d like to hear a more “softer” side to them (not all are “soft” as such, but i just mean with a less “loud” sound, which is also brilliant from them dont get me wrong!!) I’d recommend I am you, levanter (levanter especially!!!!) mirror, voices, 19, chronosaurus, astronaut and my personal favourite stray kids song mixtape #4! Though they have a lot more styles and a whole load of great b sides as well as title tracks!! I’m sure other people will tell you about many of the other songs though 😊😊

They performed their God's DDU-DU DDU-DU which is a combination of their God's Menu and BLACKPINK's DDU-DU DDU-DU (these 2 songs were perfect to mix because they both have lyrics that go "DDU-DU DDU-DU").
Also, since we're talking about Kingdom, iKON (a group under YG just like BLACKPINK) did their own version of BLACKPINK's Pretty Savage and a surprise for the contestants was that Lisa actually performed with iKON.

@@Yetti. iKON's performance went nuts on the internet mostly because of Lisa's involvement and just the fun vibe of it. STRAY KIDS' performance trended because of its theme, the energy, and the impact. It got the attention of Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds himself.

stray kids definitely have a rap line (changbin, hyunjin, han, felix) and a vocal line (chan, lee know, han (again, yes), seungmin, i.n), but as they've progressed through the years, the lines between the two have become more blurred and these days it's become the norm for the rappers especially to switch back and forth between singing and rapping to fit the different moods in their music, and that's truly one of stray kids' strength and what sets them apart from a lot of other groups, the fact that every member is so versatile. i'm really impressed with how well you got the concepts and the symbolism of the mvs honestly, watching people discover skz for the first time is one of my favourite things so i really enjoyed your reaction!

I’m quite a new Stay, but man. I regret not stanning this group sooner. They’re all a bunch of all-rounders. As you watch more contents of them, you’d be amazed that some of the “vocals” can actually rap too. Haha. I’m enjoying getting to know more of them because they surprise me every time, but never disappoints ♥️

They just did a live stage of Secret Secret where they all sang if you’re looking into live stages. Also Hyunjin choreographed Play with Fire and After the Party’s Over and Lee Know did Dawn if you’re wanting to look into some dancing videos alongside their dance practices. They are definitely the 4th gen main dancers.

I apologize for the lenght of this comment, but I want to comment on a few things.
first of all, i'm really sorry that your friend described their music as noise music, sadly many people dont take the time to discover them, otherwise they'd know that skz have 34 different genres in their discography, from heavy rap songs, to pop, hiphop, EDM and ballads filled with beautiful vocals. I'm glad that whoever decided the videos you've seen included different sides of skz, so you could see how different they can be depending on the songs. their songs are 100% made by them , they write, compose, produce and arrange all of their music (3racha, you're gonna learn about them in kingdom! they're bang chan - the leader-, changbin -the one that rapped aggressively- and han -the one that rapped and hit the high notes on neverending story-), there are no fixed positions on stray kids anymore, as anyone can do just about anything when needed.
about kingdom, you're still on the first episode so of course you still have to adjust! as the episodes go by you'll get to know them more, trust me! they'll show more of their personality, bond between them and how talented they are and i'm excited for you to see that!
to answer your question about changbin during thunderous: yes he has a different tone in that part of the song "go back woodcutter, theres nothing to cut here" is a korean saying made for people coming from humble jobs and it could also represent whoever comes to ruin someone's party "you have no job here to do, go back to where you came from" and it's an old korean saying so even koreans said you could hear a strong accent while he said that. I'm so happy you picked that up, love the attention to the details!
also i'm really glad you were able to tell many things that they were trying to convey in their mvs.
with their last comeback skz wanted to just go with it and decided to make a clapback to those who dont really know them and judge them based on the music that they make. personally i really admire them for not comforming to what people would want but rather deciding to stay true to themselves and put out music that they're actually really proud of , something that's so uniquely them. they do music for their own enjoyment first of all, and it shows, you can tell. they don't do anything just to please people, they stay true to who they are and if people are gonna like them, they're gonna like them for who they are. they're not gonna change based on what people say about them, they don't care and they made that statement with thunderous.
if i may suggest you one song, I'd like to suggest Side Effects cause that song is the first psytrance track in kpop, stray kids have been the first bold enough to use that genre (and afterwards many people started to use this genre). this song is heavily criticized by people cause of its "noise" in reality it delves into the state of anxiety and struggling with mental health and it should resemble what anxiety should sound like in a song. to me it's genius. after Side Effects, you could listen to Cheese, it's from the new album and its a disstrack to haters, it quotes both gods menu (you find du du du du funny?) and side effects (what's so funny about a headache?) cause those two songs have very hard vibes and people talked about them very much.
lastly, you didn't see the ninth member in those songs. he's in the really old ones from 2018/2019. we don't really talk about him as he's no longer part of the group. i should also warn you that you wouldn't be seeing hyunjin in kingdom (the guy with the long black hair/pink haired one in backdoor) after the miroh stage because he's been on hiatus for four months and came back with the Mixtape: Oh MV last june. STAY were really happy when it happened.
If you want to check out more stray kids i'd suggest you that mv as well, cause it shows another side of them!
I'm looking forward to more stray kids in the future, hoping you will like them. they never disappoint and their personalities are the best, they're funny, geniune, caring, we have more a friend-friend relationship rather than fan-idol. they're so open, honest with their feelings, hardworking, humble guys. gods menu was their introduction as pioneers of a new genre, the "mala taste" genre that they created, which is spicy and addicting that you will look for after you've had a taste (they combined food with music in their genre). in this new album NoEasy (play on words with noisy) bang chan even started to get credited as a producing engineer while han has been credited as a vocal director. they're 100% involved in their music and it's actually their company adjusting to what concept/song they're gonna put out, not the other way around.

@@Yetti. I would definitely recommend the Back Door relay dance. It’s so creative and you can just tell the group is having fun. In that sense it gives me the same vibe as the Don’t Call Me relay dance where Onew and Key were clowning Taemin and Minho.
@@Yetti. I just got to your comments about noise and I completely agree. I listen to a lot of music people consider “just noise” (both in Kpop and other genres). I find that some people use noise as shorthand for inaccessible, which annoys me.
Also, Straykids are fanboys of BLACKPINK more especially BANG CHAN (Aussie). He always reacted to ROSÉ song cover and called her "Australian SISTER" once. ❣️
They are not fanboys of blackpink. The thing is lisa and bangchan are friends so that's why he reacts to blackpink. Bangchan is literally friends with half of the kpop industry and knows all of them.

You have to do a guide for them!!! They are one of the most talented groups I've encountered so far out of the 4th generation boygroups. They self-produced/participate in all of their songs, from lyrics to beat, they are just amazing. All of them sing, rap, and dance well that they no longer have a specific line/focus to them.
Not to forget how entertaining they are because they are hella funny and always gave us content on their youtube channel even tho they are not in their comeback period

The pretty deep voiced one is Felix, part of their dance line hes also Aussie (yes that’s his natural voice he has insane control he can go really high or really low he’s also got insane mimicking abilities)
Bang Chan is the other Aussie he’s the oldest and group leader and part of the hyung and rap line 3RACHA which consists of him, Changbin and Jisung
Changbin is one of their lead rappers he was the one at the start of Gods Menu and the one with like that gravelly voice you were fixated on (yes that’s how he always sounds he sometimes just puts more force behind his voice depending on the theme of the song)
Jisung (Han) is technically part of the rap
line but he’s an all rounder he can do literally anything (he’s the really expressive one in back door that you were commenting on)
Hyunjin is the visual and part of the dance line he’s the pink haired one at the start of Backdoor,
Minho is lead dancer (he was actually originally a background dancer for BTS) he’s got a mad voice too he was the one that says the “I’ll always say what I have to say, ptui ptui ptui” in thunderous right before the beat drop for the chorus
Seungmin is part of their Vocal line he was the first opening singer in the live performance of Neverending story
Jeongin (I.N.) is the maknae and also part of the Vocal line he’s got a really pretty higher pitched voice, he struggles with dance a bit so Hyunjin usually sticks with him and helps him out.
They used to have a 9th member woojin he was their lead vocalist and the oldest member but he left back in 2019 for undisclosed reasons but from what I gather it wasn’t anything bad I think he just couldn’t handle it but their still friends according to Chris (chan)
But yes those are our boys they’re all very talented and pretty much all rounders they can all sing really well and dance so there’s no major gaps in their abilities that hinder any performance, 3RACHA and Chris specifically do bts and sneak peaks into how they write record and produce the songs (Chris edits all of them himself I’m pretty sure) you can see stuff like this on his Chans Room lives I recommend also watching the one where the wrote “cant live without Changbin” they were just fucking around but it sounds so good (they also have a tonne of unreleased solo songs like Chris’s “don’t want to acknowledge” I highly recommend that one, they have such an insane stage presence and they’re amazing to watch, if you ever get round to it I highly highly recommend watching their Gods Du Du Du live performance it’s insane but yeah enjoy I guess
The thing to remember about stray kids is they are 8 all arounders. 8 singers, 8 rappers, 8 dancers, 8 visuals,and 8 producers!

Fun Facts about Stray Kids. 3Racha is a sub rap unit within stray kids that produce, write, compose and arrange all of their own music and consist of 3 members Bang Chan, Han, and Changbin. Bang Chan hand picked all of his members before debut 2017, then JYP had the members do a reality elimination show called stray kids. Any one of them could have been eliminated. They all made it in the end and debut in 2018 with 9 members. In 2019 Woojin had to leave due to proven false rumors of sexual abuse. But he is now a solo Idol who debut 2 months ago since he left the group. He has amazing vocals. Not only are Stray Kids a self producing group but all of the members can rap, dance and sing like main vocalist. Changbin is the faster rapper in k-pop and has amazing growl, Han and Hyunjin are in the top 10 fastest rappers of k-pop. Felix has the deepest voice in k-pop but he has duality to his voice and can sing or talk in high tones and pitch. I would highly recommend watching more stray kids m/v to see the diversity they have. One correction if I could - Woojin left for "personal reasons" - details were undisclosed. The rumours about him (which yes, were proven false) happened months after, so had nothing to do with him leaving the group.

One of my favorite things is seeing people’s reactions when Changbin and Jisung start singing. Yes, they are the rappers, but also have angelic voices for singing.
A few weeks ago, I remember recommending Stray Kids to you because of Felix's voice and I'm so satisfied with your response 🤭🤭 the duality of Felix is unbelievable. But, their music is so great and they're so talented! I'm glad you gave them a listen...!!

It's very EDM-y vibes which I know can be polarizing, but the choreo has a really wonderful reference to the hakkah which fits the meaning of the song really well and I believe that, when promoting the song, Bang Chan explained what it was and why they wanted to honour it.

Fun facts: these boys write and produce their own songs. Also, every single one of them can sing, every single one of them can rap (check out Maze of Memories to see it!), and every single one is a visual and a phenomenal dancer. These boys are all-rounders.
The cars represent competition. If you notice the cars tend to come in with the prechorus when they're talking about being one of a kind and no one can beat them at their own game.
BTW you are one of the few who caught on to what all the different aspects (chefs, construction, etc) was supposed to mean from the get go.

To add on Sorrikun the title doesn't actually translate to "Thunderous" it translates to "singer" or literally "Noise Masters"/"Noise Makers" which explains why they decided to go with Thunderous and not Singer for the english translation. 13:05 the whole back door theme is a mixture of both. they happen to be outcasts so they have to sneak in, but they end up taking over the place. that's why someone keeps playing with the light switch, because they don't want them there. they basically broke in and took over the place, meaning taking over the kpop industry in an unexpected way

Stray Kidz was my #2 group I was really getting into after God's Menu before I watched your first Shinee reaction and then switched over to them. 😂 I adore these boys. I got into them because they produce their own music like BTS so I was interested in them. 3Racha, I adore, Changbin rapper voice nice and gritty just gets me, Chris is just such a lovely dork 😍but his duality scares me 😳, and Han always chooses me with his rapping and singing in the videos. The others, I think Felix and Hyunjin draw the eyes with their dancing and Felix voice. Lee Know, Seugmin and IN the singers They are all-arounders, rappers, singers and dancers. The second group I want to see in concert behind BTS. They are fun!!! I am getting into the b sides and very nice and not noisy but "no easy." Hard workers. 😁 If you continue to watch Kingdom you will see how they produce which is very impressive. Next, go back and look at the earlier stuff. Easy is one my all-time favs, Miroh is good too. The current release NoEasy is a great album I've been listening too all this week. Silent Cry, Red Light, Domino, Surfin are my top favs so far off that album.

One of my friends asked me if I could choose only one group to listen to for the rest of my life, which would it be and I chose Stray Kids because they're incredibly versatile. They have songs in pretty much every genre so as a music lover and explorer, I love to hear this kind of variety. Their S-tier rappers can sing as well, so it opens up so many opportunities to play around with different songs and genres. And I'm not sure if you're aware, but they produce and write all their songs! It sounded like you were really into Neverending Story, so I would recommend a song from their most recent album called "Sorry, I love you" or "좋아해서 미안", a song written by Changbin. It's also ballady and a bit sad, but still a lovely song.

Stray Kids really have a lot of good songs. some of their earlier title tracks that were popular are "Miroh" and "Side-Effects" (came out right after another in that order - ties in with a storyline lowkey that continues to back door I believe, I am not certain though).
Personally, two of my favourite songs of ALL TIME, not just in stray kids are:
- "Double Knot" and "Astronaut" (both with music videos).
I also recommend their songs:
- "Easy" (a personal fav w/ mv),
- "My Pace" (w/ mv),
- "Mixtape#1" (no m/v), and
- "My Pace" (w/ mv).
Also they did an opening and a closing song for the anime "Tower of God":
- "Top" being for the opening, and
- "Slump" for the closing I believe (there are both korean and japanese versions for both of them I believe).
Both of the songs are like, beautifully amazing. Please take a listen to them both when you can, I need to go back and listen to them again honestly because damn they are just so good, I'm glad they made those songs.
Also Stray Kids fans are called Stays, so the whole "You make Stray Kids stay" at the end of all their music videos is a bit of a play on words for their fans as well :)

i discovered Stray Kids in August and now I'm obsessed with them. My favourite groups are SHINEe, EXO and Stray Kids. And soloists: Taemin and Jessi. You have to watch Jessi's MV, she's unique and so funny.

If chans voice really got to you on Neverending Story I would suggest listening to "I don't want to admit" solo song by him on Stray Kids' yt channel (they release a bunch of unit/solo stuff over there). Seriously, the song gives me goosebumps every time.
