I’m 25, just finished university, and have been trying to find a Somali man as a husband. I’ve always envisioned being with someone from my own culture, but after dating Somali men, I’ve realized they’re not acting right. Now, I’m starting to wonder if I should consider dating outside my ethnicity, even though it’s not something I initially wanted. It’s a tough decision, but I feel like I may have to rethink my approach.i would love to know how other girls my age feels
Asalamu Alaikum sister, may Allah bless you with suitable partner inshaAllah. I'm married to non Somali and im happy I was open to other ethnicity/culture. We're going onto 10yrs marriage with few little ones. I would say be open to it. You never know who you will meet.
Hey sis, I’m sorry to hear you feel like this. The key is to be aware: not all people are the same but build yourself: hobbies, career strong support system and then get married In sha Allah everything will work out for you xabiibti don’t worry ❤
I was once in your shoes after so many years of trying to marry wil Somali I could never click with them. At the age of 31 I decided to give none a chance alhamdulillah Allah gave me an understanding and caring. His the only person that gets me I can be handle not gonna lie 😂
I am neither Somali nor Muslim but I appreciate your videos, thank you for sharing your story. You’re doing so well for your kids and for yourself too, and your stories about your uncle really show him to be an amazing human being. God bless you all ❤
Wow, thank you for sharing. I’m a single mother too, I’ve just got my divorce end of 2024 Alx! Trying to find myself and manage everything. May Allah bless your Uncle, youre such a sweet soul & i can relate on some of the things you’ve mentioned 😢❤️

Sis, the patience you had for this man. May God guide your ex-husband to the right path. As a muslim man you should respect your wife and support her. May God protect you and I wish you only blessings in this world
Thanks for sharing your story. My mother always said guur laguma khasaaro. But I’m curious what made you get married in Somalia and especially that young?
The person above said it spot on! Not only that, I wasn’t in a good place emotionally when I got married. I made decisions form that space and you should NEVER make decisions in a vulnerable state. ❤
I’m SO glad you made it sis! Alhamdulilah! Wallahi I’m actually welling up. My hearts literally bursting with pride for you as if I personally know you. May you continue to win in life!💜 Also please educate us on your experience with postnatal psychosis. JazakAllah khair!
There was a big cultural difference for sure. However only Allah knows if it would be different. These issues are prevalent in our community and happens to women who got married to someone in the West.
Seems this sister married a wahabi guy. In our Somali culture we don’t control our women but we put them in a pedestal unlike other cultures but recently wahabism influences have infiltrated into our society.
OMG I commented before I watched the whole video I'm so sorry for what you went through! you didn't deserve this treatment. The fact that he was suppose to be religious but was treating you like this I don't understand! definitely narcissistic personality

I am in the same dilemma. Somali men are mostly broke and I don’t like their behavior so at this point I feel like there is no option.
