    I am pretty satisfied with this gaming laptop, bought it in 2017 when I was a freshman in college. Now, I still use this laptop doing office works and occasional gaming, and the performance is pretty decent, with some tweaks, this laptop could run some latest 3A games just fine.

    Just bought a second hand Nitro 5 with i7 8750H + gtx 1060 6gb in it.
    For me this is a huge performance jump from my last ROG i7 6700 + gtx 960m 4gb. Not bad for 15% extra money.
    But 8750H is a heat guzzler, i need to use Throttlestop to limit its clock at 3500Mhz dan undervolted by -150mv.
    Also i glued two extra foldable leg to improve its air circulation.
    After refreshed all thermalpaste the max temps is holding at 80-87 C (ambient 30-ish centigrade).

      My laptop is MSI GP 63 leopard
      I7-8750h have 2 core more than i7-7700hq
      And most of the new game need 6 core minimum
      And my gtx 1060 is the full one max watt not max q
      Tell me the specs of your laptop
      And what about your thermal it can be a great impact on performance

    • @itsamevic
      @itsamevic 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@noblezgames68 oh ok, maybe those 2 cores make the difference.
      My laptop is the msi gs63vr-7rf, graphic card is the same as yours I think (6GB, not max-q).
      Temperatures on gpu are always between 75⁰C and 87⁰C (under heavy gaming).
      Temperatures on cpu are between 80⁰C and 91⁰C (also under heavy gaming).
      I know that these temperatures are a bit high, but this is a thin, compact laptop, so it's somewhat normal to reach such temperatures.
      At least it has these temperature ranges since it was new. (I also cleaned the computer 6 months ago and replaced the thermal paste both on the cpu and gpu)
