The House of Nanny… amazing how the work u /Barry put in searching months back has paid off. Beautiful fish & awesome session for the boys. Thanks for sharing Matt 🤙🏼
Bro that sounder shots is unreal! would love come up experience this kinda fishing! G"day both you legends ! both have awesome content keep wicked videos coming happy days tight lines :)
Bro!! Those sounder shots were unreal!!! And that little saltiga/seacore combo is off the charts!! Its amazing how far rod building technology has come in the past 10yrs. Beaut little stick. Can see that thing slaying many more trout and nannies in the months to come!!
I would of loved to see what the two big ones that pulled like crazy looked like.super great video.when you said this is mental.i had to laugh.my thought s.to.keep up the awesome pictures.thanks much
Hi Matt , Dave here in Townsville, I just love all your vids mate . Just wondering if you could cover some basic set up on your Gopro IE: How many you run , do you use looping , batteries and how you get those fantastic shots I’m intrigued As to this stuff but I love the vids Cheers brother
Hello mate, I watch all your videos (with envy!). I'm based in Hong Kong and mainly focus on SLP jigging around oil rigs in the Sth China Sea. This upcoming season I'm going to be trying out the Squidtrex range to see how they are. I was wondering what leader material you normally use?
Myself I fished, studied the areas around the Morton Bay Area. I was very much like you I found my locations from sounding to understand and seeing what showed on the sounder. Sadly some very unique places were over fished by passing boats who chose to discover what I was fishing over. Your videos suggest you are not under the same pressure where another fisherman can capture your marks / fishing locations
Sadly they still do even with less boat pressure but this is why I try and push out as far as I can to escape all that hassle. To me this area hasn’t been fished before and I’ll fish it maybe once every couple months
Trying to relate to some of the species u have going over there that are similar or identical to ours. You mention Nannygai for those big red fish u catch. But scientifically which name are you referring to? : Centroberyx/Centrobryx or the Lutjanus sebae? Cheers mate and love the content
It’s definitely something I’ll be doing more in the future just to see what’s going on down there. I’d be more interested in watching them than catching them haha
Just love the footage of you to getting a workout but where do you guys get all your tackles and gear from would to support the people that support you or do you just have a local tackle store life good in paradise
@@PelagicPursuit89 yeah you say what the gear is but you don’t say where you get it from is it the local tackle shop in the Whitsundays or do you get it online I have some older stuff but would love to upgrade and use the people that support you thanks
Hi mate. Can you do a video on your humminbird sounders. I’m rebuilding my dad’s boat he’s past down to me. Live in Tassie fish for tuna and deep water and don’t know what one to pair up to a 1kw transducer. Have two birds in it at the moment but they old.
Hey matt awesome video as usual mate👍👍, i notice your running a huge hummingbird now rather than the simrad !! Is that a sponsor thing or you have changed for a readon ?
It is a sponsor thing but it was my choice to change for the mapping cards they have. My confidence now fishing new areas is worth the change for sure.
Dear Professor, I thought of you as the one who would have the knowledge to let us know , to answer the following question. How is it that fish expel the air/oxygen from their bladder , right when arriving at the surface? (As shown on the video at 15 minutes 15 seconds) Thank you Legend and , as ever , thank you for lesson and the adventures. Chris from Crete
I’m not 💯 on this answer but I know the top 10m is where the most pressure is. So when they hit that 10m mark it must be too much for them to handle and it just about pops out of them
i dont think it mather much if you use the daiwa and shimano top end spinning reels or a conventional reel for seafishing before you get up to the big league since they have the power you need and the limiting factor is normally the rod or the guy holding the rod is too afraid to apply more break because the breaking power is definately there.
Something in your last 2 videos causes my phone to drop out of youtube and log me out of my phone, only your videos do this and only the last 2 videos of yours does it. At 4:06 into this video it did it the first time, it usually happens several times during your videos. Just happened again around 5:08. Again at 10:08. I watch cavy, je wilds, brooksy, many channels and only your last 2 videos do this??? Again at 24:35
What a spot, guard that with your life, need to get Bowley to sign NDA before he hops of that boat
Definitely a great idea
Hahahaha this is the best thing I’ve read in a while. He lives 100m from me I’ll go film it so we all have proof
Where is the boat ramp at the destination

Hey mate. I use 100 lb panderra because it’s a fluro coated mono so it has great abrasive resistance aswell as being soft enough to tie knots easily
Brilliant@@PelagicPursuit89 thanks for the info and tight lines!
Man this would be such an awesome experience ! Would love to have a sesh like that some day
You two guys having very fun
What are the specs of the rods used please? Great video 🔥

Just watched your great video. Are those fish good eating? I too noticed a boat in the background....... I thought Nanni's were a NZ fish; not true?

Absolutely awesome stuff Matt.
Out of interest, what Transducer do you use ? I would love to get that sort of clarity on marks.
haha love the intro already. have you tried the seacore baitcast models by any chance?
Only once so I can’t give you an honest answer on them but definitly so far so good
You are a legend 🤙
I’d love to see you drop an under water camera through that. Seeing how they sit and how they act to different techniques ect.

Wrong guy my bro
Just bought the saltiga 6000XH during the black Friday. I’m surprise how small the size 6000 is😂. How many grams are these jigs?
Small but extremely powerful. I use 80-120g in around 40-60m
Hay mate slap the barnacles off the beer and get um nice and cool.get the fishing poles warmed up and let's go get some big fish 😊
Hey mate, great videos. Do you think that area might be a Wonky hole/under water spring area where those fish are hanging ? Cheers
I’d love to send down a camera to check it but I think it might be the first one I’ve found. Especially for the area it’s in.
Awesome Fishing

Pe 3 ammonite it’s just a different colour
It seems the sharks are more respectful there than in jamaica 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲 I couldn't leave my fish in the water like that out here
How do you rate the Saltiga 23?

can you put the SPECS off the gadjets you use.. Rod and reel
Hey man what GoPro do you use?
Do they just hold up on some type of structure out there?
Они наверное около какого то рифа. Он же сказал, что они шли туда 1.5 часа.. К этому месту.

I’ve just changed to an airmar n 265 wet box
What combo is that
No Beer ,wtf ,but no Grey suits either

My dream spot 😍😍😍
Look like the ocean is mostly calm there
Haha I wish. We’re lucky if we can get out a few times a month
wow unbelievable
You need more than 6 rod holders for that boat, seriously !!!!
Haha I think there is 22 rod holders all up. That’s more than enough for me
Talking about that boat and on the rail not the top !!@@PelagicPursuit89
Its most more fun using micro jigging mode..if red snapper in grouping..i thinks that day will be great day of fishing..what a great spot
I just noticed you changed to hummingbird do you notice much difference
Main difference is the mapping cards bro. Basically like having google maps and have the options to overlay relief shading
@@PelagicPursuit89 no worries i was thinking you might be getting side scan
To me they look like red emperor

I was like oh yea light reef set up I might get a 500 saltiga then I saw the price
