Vi totally ditched her in a brothel without saying a word to her. ;) Honestly, it's impressive that Caitlyn was able to find her in time.
Jinx might be the most intelligent character in this show thus far; with a single gemstone and a notebook that, by her own admission, she found very boring, she was able to crack hextech. And she did it with what little resources and education she could scrape together.
Regarding Jinx shooting the crow: there is a fan theory, nothing confirmed or official, that the crows that periodically show up around Jinx are the harbingers for another character in the world of Arcane. If the theory is correct, than the crows are much more sinister than they appear.
Of course, Jinx shooting the crow could also simply be a sign of how mentally unwell and unstable the poor young lady is.

Love that line. It was delivered really well. Both through animation and voice acting. Very expressive. He really didn't know she was alive, and it shows.
Agreed. So many reactors to this series kept wondering how long Vi was in prison and thinking she wasn't in there for very long, when it was obvious the moment that Marcus snatched her at the end of Episode 3 that she'd be in prison the whole entire time.

I think it's cool how Vi's tattoo spells "Vi", but also her prison number was 516, "V" is 5, "I" is 1, and "VI" together is 6
Could also represent the 6 year time skip she spent in prison, like 6 scratches on a prison wall
This is where I like to point out that the person in the brothel that Vi grabbed, Pim, is voiced by Silco's VA Jason Spisak.

Tbf, Jayce isn't prepared for the role that was thrust on to him. It's like promoting an engineer straight into a director's role without management skills in a company. Which is why he needs Mel to guide him as she's a Councilor herself. And yes, Mel isn't someone you can trust completely but she has her own reasons which will be covered later on. Next episode is gonna be rough but it sets up the final act of this season perfectly well.

I agree with you, I don't know which character is the best, even when they're face to face, even when they're hostile to each other, I don't know which side to take, which proves to me once again how well prepared and well thought out the show is.
In a great story it's really hard to pick one favourite character, but if forced to, I would choose Jayce. A lot of people don't like him, but I can really sympathize with his struggles of unwanted responsibility and burden of everyone's expectations. I think he's the best written character in the story, because a lot of the time he's stuck in the situation, where he can't make a right decision, because there is none, which is brilliant writing.

Caitlyn could have taken the bathysphere with the old man, but the climb down gives her some street cred... And another glimpse into Vi's world.

Considering the events and situations they have lived up to this age.
When we viewers look from the characters' point of view, we really can't blame anyone. A lot is revealed when you examine characters in an impartial way without taking the side of a particular character.
The choices they make in the world they live in really make much more sense.
Riot Games and forthice studios have written this perfectly.
I love the characters Jinx, Silco, Viktor and Vander.
These are my favourites.
Jayce's path is kind of inevitable. When you have something greatly coveted by everyone, you either leverage that asset against the powerful, or you become an asset of the powerful. Since Jayce has ambitions to shake things up and "make the world a better place" with Viktor, one of them HAD to get out in front of that - only neither of them knew it, so Mel making him a councillor, while unasked for, was necessary for his ambitions. He has a much better chance at this, given that he is not just "Jayce, inventor", but "Jayce Tallis, scion of the minor noble house Tallis". That is to say, he has a title. That's important in a system that has inherited nobility, like Piltover does. It may not be FORMAL nobility (with Counts and Dukes and Barons and all that) but it very much functions that way. Jayce is thus "one of them" in a way that Viktor could never be.
The problem isn't what Mel does or that Jayce is thrust into the world of politics - it's that Jayce is an idiot. He's SMART but reckless, naive and short-sighted, in way over his depth, and has trouble adjusting. He will be able to adjust faster than most people might to his new situation, but by that point, what schemes, agreements and deals will he be enmeshed in?`
I like how quickly Mel's motivations are made clear very quickly in the interplay in episode 2 between her and her... assistant? She is the richest person in the city, but the poorest in her family, and what she is looking for isn't just "more money". She has enough money to do pretty much whatever she feels like. There's not much more power she can get without tearing down the power structure that she's near the top of, either - she's an important, personally powerful and influential councillor. So to elevate herself, she must make the city she sits near the pinnacle of, Piltover, greater IN AND OF ITSELF. That's what she wants from Hextech (or from anything she can find, really) - something that makes Piltover more important and prestigious, so that being one of its ruling oligarchs becomes more prestigious and powerful in turn.
While Viktor was concerned with the hextech,
Jayce was concerned with the sextech

Vi's face tattoo has always been there in her design, but in the game it is much larger (probably due to the zoomed nature of League of Legends). Her prison number is 516. When you write 6 in roman numerals, you write it as 5 and 1. VI.

The blue gem is Arcanite, a gem naturally found along lines of arcane power, Jace's theory was on using it to allow normal people to tap into the arcane powers, thus the birth of hextech a blend of technology and magics.
Shimmer is a substance with addictive properties that can be used in many ways, but the arm in question is a form of chemtech, technology fused with chemicals from the undercity. Chemtech is the undercity's, cheaper, more industrial response to Piltover's shiny advanced technology. It is more unstable, and a bit dirty in a way. It can get results but it can also cause issues sort of like nuclear energy for us, used properly and with proper precautions it can be great, get sloppy and it can blow up in your face.
So yes, in a way they are similar in how they could be used, yet very different.

This episode made Viktor my favorite character by a mile Silco and Jynx tied for 2 but Viktor is a example of my favorite types of characters.Someone who is wanting to do good but is put in a impossible situation he’s dying and wants to help others so he feels obligated to push himself cause he is running out of time.While Jayce is fucking around Viktor the crippled dying boy from the undercity is literally putting his blood,sweat and tears into trying to help the world🥲

all of the characters in Arcane are so complex. they have dreams, aspirations, fears -- they live their own full lives with or without the audience's gaze.
Vi and Sevika's fights are so damn good. This show does an amazing job with the choreography.

3:05 Isn't it just what core of Arcane is.. what makes people enjoy it. You root for everybody (except Marcus lul) even though their goals are often conflicting.
…hm, you know, here’s some advice, with this Show you’re better off not expecting things to go as you expect or hope it will.
This show is great at making you indecisive about who to root for, which makes it so damn good. Its a whole lot of gray. Even after a few watches, I started feeling for Marcus because he isn't inherently bad. He made a stupid decision as an ignorant enforcer, just trying to make a better place for his daughter. But I feel like this grayness is often much more true to life.
I really love Shohreh Aghdashloo's voice. Such gravitas! I was disappointed when her character died so soon in this serie
I really hope create the same process of creating a meaniful background for each character in later seasons or series Riot produces. It will make the entire League TV Universe so amazing
Just checked out season 3 Umbrella Academy which is a lot of fun on Netflix and if you have not checked the first 2 season, yet you should do a reaction of both seasons just before the 3rd season come out in August.
I'm not sure who would wear the handcuffs in their relationship and at this point I'm too afraid to ask :)
