I'm an ex-Christian but from childhood. I was Christian from 9-15 before I lost my faith. When I did and I felt abandoned by God in a serious time of need, I went to my church for comfort. I told them how I felt and asked how I could fix this. They just would say "Only God has all the answers" and to "Just pray" and I never got a real explanation. I'm 20 today, almost 21 and I'm seeing many signs to 'forgive' Him, especially now with the understanding that I went about it wrong because I didn't understand or have any patience. I can see now that I should be asking Him to forgive me, but even though it gives me a little more peace finally having my answer, I still can't seem to forget the pain. I hesitate with Him because of the worries life has brought, but I feel I owe Him an actual fair chance. So, I will by the end of this year go back to church, but I've been looking at these videos hoping there was a spark. It's very very slim, but I can tell that I might be able to be reborn and that maybe I might not seem as lost as I've thought, even though following God would make things more complicated for me. I don't know if I'm ready for that just yet.

If you come to him and lose faith, and come again and lose faith, however many times it will happen he will always have open seat for you at his table (I left him and came back to many times to not know that’s true) he gets that we struggle, that we are only humans that lose faith, choose lust and make failures, he gets it and still loves us the same way when we were born, he doesn’t look down on us cuz we feel pain and that it does things to us, he understands it, as long as we at least try coming to him with our hearts he appreciate it and doesn’t let it go to waste. I’m the same age as you and also come from Christian household and I perfectly know that it doesn’t mean that my life will be perfect just based on this fact. And last thing, God is not human so he is the best option to make a step of faith, he won’t disappoint.

I dont want my life to be easy but even Job got a break at the end. When will my break be? Only after death? Its dissapointing that this life is just a miserable waste. I cant even go and spread God’s word to people and I cant tell people how amazing God is because im in physical excruciating pain all the time and im too broke to do anything about it and in too much pain to work. Please Pray for me. I dont know how much longer I can keep doing this.

I can’t go spread the word of God’s goodness because I don’t know if it’s actually true. I can’t tell someone else to believe something when I don’t even have the evidence to convince myself. I don’t see goodness, I see indifference at best; I don’t see promises being fulfilled, I just feel ignored. I feel like I am just having to watch as God grants the things I’m praying for to everyone around me, but not me. I know God is real because I received an undeniable sign from Him. But I don’t believe He is good, or that He loves me. I can’t. To have faith in that would mean to look my life in the face and gaslight myself into believing a lie. It’s really easy for Christians who have friends and a spouse and children to be thankful and praise God for His goodness. They see it every day. They feel it. It’s physically present in their lives. That is not so, in my case. I spend most of my existence completely alone. I don’t care about glorifying God via my empty life. I get nothing out of that. If he chooses to answer my prayers by giving the things I’m asking for to everyone else around me, if that’s God’s method of showing me His goodness, it’s doing the opposite of what He is intending. I’m not asking for God to serve me, or to give me the world. I simply want to be compensated for being forced to exist and having no choice in this shitty life I have to live. And I don’t care if that sounds immature-God wants us to come to Him as children, right? How can I trust in someone who spits in my face constantly and rewards unbelievers right in my face for no reason? Why should I love someone like that? He’s basically telling me that the right thing to do if I want happiness in life is to reject Him and spread misery, that’s what will make Him want to lavish gifts on me to bring me back. Otherwise, if I’m one of the 99 sheep, I’ll just get ignored! The only time God is ever “good” is to trick people into believing in Him, because once the Stockholm Syndrome sets in He knows He’ll have a person for life. Well, not every person. Not me. He made me too smart to fall for His bullshit. I’ll gladly go to Hell instead of being forced to praise that spiteful piece of shit, who lucked into infinite power and knowledge and decides that he should be praised for such an accident, who decides that I should praise and worship Him even when I have NO REASON TO. He has given me no reason to praise Him. Blessing the people around me to give me more reasons to be jealous and bitter and spiteful is not reason to praise Him, it’s reason to CURSE Him. I know nobody’s going to read this, but God will, and that’s all that really matters. He’ll have at least one human who knows of his existence and consciously rejects Him, I can make sure of that. I’ll reject Him to His face and then He can send me to Hell where I’ll experience more of my daily life. Good riddance.
I do not wish for my life to be easy, but i beg God for the strength to heal and to live my life without any more crushing despair and pain, sadness and sickness, but it keeps coming. For over 20 years, it has not stopped. I am so close to ending the pain in the only way i feel is left to me and taking my chances with whatever is next, even if it is nothing.
I left it to God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit. My life feels so much lighter and a bit easier to deal with but i feel at peace. It took me 2 weeks to feel better, but i went through some tests of faith and I think I passed, it was difficult during the trials and tribulations but I left it to God to take care of those harsh feelings and it basically all went away so I say DEFINITELY, give him a chance, give him a year or maybe even a month. It will get so much better
Focus on the light not your feelings. Not saying to ignore your feelings but terrible emotions are normal things that we experience they are emotions just as happiness is they are not bad to experience. Don’t get caught up in how you feel follow God and you will see the pain begin to leave. Literally the depressed brain is hyperactive when it comes to the “me” part of the brain but you can change that by focusing on God and loving your neighbor I’ve been there brother there is hope get help if you need too

I’ve been a Christian all my life and I’ve suffered from severe depression and suicidal thoughts since I was 4. I’ve cried out to god so much and he never heals or comforts me. I plan on killing myself soon since god has not shown me a way out.

Appreciate your work man, I’m 19, I’ve struggled with fear and anxiety for most of my life, like you said I tried to drown it out with pleasures of the world, but nothing. but I’ve found Jesus and I have peace in him. There are some days though where I just feel discouraged, sad, anxious, and I just get so confused on why. I just wonder if what I’m going through will ever fully go away and it’s just kind of sad. But I know I’ve made it this far so anyone who is struggling just know that your going to make it. But only with Jesus can we do this. If it wasn’t for him I don’t know what would be of my life.
Brother I suffered from anxiety attacks and when I sought God, and believed in him, he delivered me in entirety. What I had to understand was, faith is knowledge based on nothing I know. Or see, or taste, or even understand. God says it, it's true. When you get there, peace comes. When you get there, that place where you truly acknowledge the presence of God, according to who he is, you receive whatever it is God wants you to have then. But you gotta believe that whatever you ask for, and whatever he will give you, is perfectly in his power to do.

Found you 3 days ago after praying for an answer. Your voice and words have given me peace in knowing God is there for me and always will be. My experience in the past has always been that God has a somewhat sense of humor in that he always has come through for me. Sometimes at the last moment of my despair but HE ALWAYS comes through in his love for me. Thank you confirming my belief and trust in God.

I think a realization is that you most likely will NOT get a direct answer or a vision or an obvious dream or anything . I had to come to this conclusion after agonizing ruminating thoughts asking God to please give me some sign or just communicate to me one time . I am guessing the Bible is our communication for now and we have to learn to really use it when we want to hear from God .

I've been fighting with a nonfatal disease but it gives me great pain and I've been begging god for months to help me, i beg about a million times a day, i breakdown i cry, i endure i call out and all the sudden i just got the feeling yesterday that god was going to offer me a realize and i found it a way to help fight back the pain i have felt that's the light he talks about it the video the light is wisdom, and the healing god offers, though its not a full healing it does help quite a lot with the pain part, it revealed the mess and helped me t step around it, of course the other symptoms make it worse and its hard to eat but at least the pain is leaving me, god is great and i know if i stick to trusting him long enough i will get more help, glory be to god.

Its very interesting just today in the morning I had so much stress from a lie I told likefor a week, and it had this ripple effect that piled up....and was praying to God to free me of this whole burden. Then, a voice hit me inside my head, "if only I told my truth and stopped protecting my pride/ego all this would be non existent" all over a sudden I felt this peace...it as so unreal. I mean I now believe God is for us. Just follow his word and instructions, He got it under control. His word are these unwritten rules that apply even if you don't believe he exists. Thats why He is faithful. I can go on and on but, thank you man for sharing this message. God bless!
I’ve been a Christian for close to seven years, and I always had this question and it was around suffering. Part of me understands why suffering is there but today I understand why loving God wouldn’t intervene every single time. Well, a loving God isn’t just gonna fix our problems for us, but fix our problems with us. Helping build up character, which produces hope. Thank you!
This would have been very helpful in 2020, when most of my friends abandon me, and refused to acknowledge me, and people were denied communion and confession, and the church I went to was a joke, meaning there was *zero* reverence. I nearly left the church because I didn't know what to do, asked God to help me, solve my problem of having no friends, opening churches back up, and to help others. What I saw was silence, and I nearly left the church until my mom found a different church, where there was a lot of reverence, and a very close knit community. For the first time, it actually felt like God was there, and I my faith became strong again.

I was raised as a Christian, though the God they showed me was a vengeful and wrathful. The loving, caring and benevolent God I am exposed to in your soul saving videos (I am a beggar) it is opposite from the concept I used to guide my life. I really thank you for being Gods messenger. I thought I was alone, that needed a spiritual teacher or guide in order to reach some inner peace, to know God and become a real Christian. Relying on videos, literature and having the opportunity of being alone (humanly speaking) is a challenge. The rewards of using consistency, perseverance and choosing to have faith, it's wonderful, because I know that I don't need feelings in order to trust God, just knowing and taking the leap of faith, will do the initial work. Faith needs to be nurtured, not by success but by failing, owning my errors learning and keep going. This has been a way of life that I like. It's a never ending process. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and above all, you always put yourself as a human that fails and keeps coming back. I am starting to Love Jesus.

@Montana I see one of 3 possibilities for someone in your situation: 1. There is no greater sense behind it 2. There is a greater sense behind it, you're just missing it 3. There is a greater sense behind it, it just hasn't been made clear yet We are impatient beings, so i think we often choose 1 or 2, when really 3 is the right possibility. The problem with 3 is that it's just a really tough place to sit, especially when you're suffering. I'm sorry you've had trouble and are suffering. Know of my prayers (whatever that means to you). I hope you find some relief and guidance in your suffering.

We wont learn unless we grow free of the dependence we have on God, if too much we grow dependent if too little is done we lose faith. We have free will because we determine our own destiny as no human being has the ability to force another to think something they wont. God works in mysterious ways because he's subtle. Yet for us to learn we must self actuaries as Robert maslow said was the greatest human need.
I genuinely feel like every problem we have is intentionally given to us so we can learn from them, grow, and become better versions of ourselves. I don’t feel like mishaps happen TO us, but they happen FOR us in order to teach us and be stepping stones to build our character. Nobody has it perfect no matter what it seems. But I don’t think life is supposed to always go in the way we hope, I feel like God knows what’s best even when we can’t see it. A lot of times we create our own suffering so look at where you are contributing to your own problems too.
I know being a Christian is not easy its not supposed to be easy but ive just been questioning everything but im sure God will provide if you are reading this i hope God will help you with your struggles ✝️❤🙏

"Follow me“ in other words, "immitate me." That is the first time I've heard the command to “follow me“ explained so well and simply. Lots of people say things like we should follow, trust, turn to, give our lives to Jesus. But I have struggled with what that looks like on a daily basis. How does one do that? Just got out of a relationship. I’ve been praying for a wife for years and years. I’ve went through school watching all of my friends have girlfriends and even getting married now. I finally had one and she decided I wasn’t the one for her. I feel so depressed even more depressed knowing that God will allow me to keep going on this earth just to suffer. I’ve begged and prayed for God to give me something good so I can keep going but I just can’t. Every day it gets harder and harder to want to choose him. At this point if he can’t answer any other prayers maybe he’ll answer if I ask him to take my life.
He offers us something much bitter. Or biter. Whichever you prefer. Becuz reality BITES. . . . But . . . you must accept or reject what He offers. You have the power.

I’ve watched some of your videos and you have a lot of talent! I know your channel is still small, but remain diligent and I’m sure it’ll take off! I remember back in 2015 watching the channel “the Bible project” thinking they were severely underrated as they had low view counts and subscribers despite the amount of effort they put into their videos. They now have well over 1 million subscribers. I believe that if you keep at it you will get there too, it takes patience and diligence.

I believe in a god, maybe not this god but something has to be there. And I believe there is. Having this belief that there is something fills the feeling of purpose in me. To know that I was meant to live.
We're suffering with a purpose. Yes, we stumble but He doesn't let us fall. In the end, we grow stronger as we continue to hope and surrender in what God can do (peace), not relying on our own power and understanding.
Ever since I started high school my relationship with God’s been on the decline. I’ve gone back to secular ways, I barely have time to read the Bible, I’m worried all the time whether I spend enough time with God or follow him and I just fear of what’s gonna happen. My 2nd quarter’s gonna be even worse because the first one was already hard, and I’m worried I’m just gonna ditch following him entirely. As the Bible says, I need to watch out because god could return any day now, so I feel like I can’t just take a break, even though that feels like it’s the only way out. I need prayers now, please.

The only time God is ever “good” is to trick people into believing in Him, because once the Stockholm Syndrome sets in He knows He’ll have a person for life. Well, not every person. Not me. He made me too smart to fall for His bullshit. I’ll gladly go to Hell instead of being forced to praise that spiteful piece of shit, who lucked into infinite power and knowledge and decides that he should be praised for such an accident, who decides that I should praise and worship Him even when I have NO REASON TO. He has given me no reason to praise Him. Blessing the people around me to give me more reasons to be jealous and bitter and spiteful is not reason to praise Him, it’s reason to CURSE Him. I know nobody’s going to read this, but God will, and that’s all that really matters. He’ll have at least one human who knows of his existence and consciously rejects Him, I can make sure of that. I’ll reject Him to His face and then He can send me to Hell where I’ll experience more of my daily life. Good riddance.

I do not wish for my life to be easy, but i beg God for the strength to heal and to live my life without any more crushing despair and pain, sadness and sickness, but it keeps coming. For over 20 years, it has not stopped. I am so close to ending the pain in the only way i feel is left to me and taking my chances with whatever is next, even if it is nothing.

I left it to God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit. My life feels so much lighter and a bit easier to deal with but i feel at peace. It took me 2 weeks to feel better, but i went through some tests of faith and I think I passed, it was difficult during the trials and tribulations but I left it to God to take care of those harsh feelings and it basically all went away so I say DEFINITELY, give him a chance, give him a year or maybe even a month. It will get so much better
Focus on the light not your feelings. Not saying to ignore your feelings but terrible emotions are normal things that we experience they are emotions just as happiness is they are not bad to experience. Don’t get caught up in how you feel follow God and you will see the pain begin to leave. Literally the depressed brain is hyperactive when it comes to the “me” part of the brain but you can change that by focusing on God and loving your neighbor I’ve been there brother there is hope get help if you need too

Appreciate your work man, I’m 19, I’ve struggled with fear and anxiety for most of my life, like you said I tried to drown it out with pleasures of the world, but nothing. but I’ve found Jesus and I have peace in him. There are some days though where I just feel discouraged, sad, anxious, and I just get so confused on why. I just wonder if what I’m going through will ever fully go away and it’s just kind of sad. But I know I’ve made it this far so anyone who is struggling just know that your going to make it. But only with Jesus can we do this. If it wasn’t for him I don’t know what would be of my life.
Brother I suffered from anxiety attacks and when I sought God, and believed in him, he delivered me in entirety. What I had to understand was, faith is knowledge based on nothing I know. Or see, or taste, or even understand. God says it, it's true. When you get there, peace comes. When you get there, that place where you truly acknowledge the presence of God, according to who he is, you receive whatever it is God wants you to have then. But you gotta believe that whatever you ask for, and whatever he will give you, is perfectly in his power to do.

Found you 3 days ago after praying for an answer. Your voice and words have given me peace in knowing God is there for me and always will be. My experience in the past has always been that God has a somewhat sense of humor in that he always has come through for me. I think a realization is that you most likely will NOT get a direct answer or a vision or an obvious dream or anything . I had to come to this conclusion after agonizing ruminating thoughts asking God to please give me some sign or just communicate to me one time . I am guessing the Bible is our communication for now and we have to learn to really use it when we want to hear from God .

I've been fighting with a nonfatal disease but it gives me great pain and I've been begging god for months to help me, i beg about a million times a day, i breakdown i cry, i endure i call out and all the sudden i just got the feeling yesterday that god was going to offer me a realize and i found it a way to help fight back the pain i have felt that's the light he talks about it the video the light is wisdom, and the healing god offers, though its not a full healing it does help quite a lot with the pain part, it revealed the mess and helped me t step around it, of course the other symptoms make it worse and its hard to eat but at least the pain is leaving me, god is great and i know if i stick to trusting him long enough i will get more help, glory be to god.

Its very interesting just today in the morning I had so much stress from a lie I told likefor a week, and it had this ripple effect that piled up....and was praying to God to free me of this whole burden. Then, a voice hit me inside my head, "if only I told my truth and stopped protecting my pride/ego all this would be non existent" all over a sudden I felt this peace...it as so unreal. I mean I now believe God is for us. Just follow his word and instructions, He got it under control. His word are these unwritten rules that apply even if you don't believe he exists. I’ve been a Christian for close to seven years, and I always had this question and it was around suffering. Part of me understands why suffering is there but today I understand why loving God wouldn’t intervene every single time. Well, a loving God isn’t just gonna fix our problems for us, but fix our problems with us. Helping build up character, which produces hope. Thank you!
This would have been very helpful in 2020, when most of my friends abandon me, and refused to acknowledge me, and people were denied communion and confession, and the church I went to was a joke, meaning there was *zero* reverence.
I nearly left the church because I didn't know what to do, asked God to help me, solve my problem of having no friends, opening churches back up, and to help others. What I saw was silence, and I nearly left the church until my mom found a different church, where there was a lot of reverence, and a very close knit community. For the first time, it actually felt like God was there, and I my faith became strong again.

I was raised as a Christian, though the God they showed me was a vengeful and wrathful. The loving, caring and benevolent God I am exposed to in your soul saving videos (I am a beggar) it is opposite from the concept I used to guide my life. I really thank you for being Gods messenger. I thought I was alone, that needed a spiritual teacher or guide in order to reach some inner peace, to know God and become a real Christian. Relying on videos, literature and having the opportunity of being alone (humanly speaking) is a challenge. The rewards of using consistency, perseverance and choosing to have faith, it's wonderful, because I know that I don't need feelings in order to trust God, just knowing and taking the leap of faith, will do the initial work. Faith needs to be nurtured, not by success but by failing, owning my errors learning and keep going.
This has been a way of life that I like. It's a never ending process. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and above all, you always put yourself as a human that fails and keeps coming back. I am starting to Love Jesus.

1. There is no greater sense behind it
2. There is a greater sense behind it, you're just missing it
3. There is a greater sense behind it, it just hasn't been made clear yet
We are impatient beings, so i think we often choose 1 or 2, when really 3 is the right possibility. The problem with 3 is that it's just a really tough place to sit, especially when you're suffering.

We wont learn unless we grow free of the dependence we have on God, if too much we grow dependent if too little is done we lose faith. We have free will because we determine our own destiny as no human being has the ability to force another to think something they wont. God works in mysterious ways because he's subtle. Yet for us to learn we must self actuaries as Robert maslow said was the greatest human need.
If I don't have good happen to me, how can I proclaim that God is good.
I genuinely feel like every problem we have is intentionally given to us so we can learn from them, grow, and become better versions of ourselves. I don’t feel like mishaps happen TO us, but they happen FOR us in order to teach us and be stepping stones to build our character. Nobody has it perfect no matter what it seems. But I don’t think life is supposed to always go in the way we hope, I feel like God knows what’s best even when we can’t see it. A lot of times we create our own suffering so look at where you are contributing to your own problems too.
Jesus won't get rid of problems, just give you more. I have enough problems of my own. So I don't need anymore.

Just got out of a relationship. I’ve been praying for a wife for years and years. I’ve went through school watching all of my friends have girlfriends and even getting married now. I finally had one and she decided I wasn’t the one for her. I feel so depressed even more depressed knowing that God will allow me to keep going on this earth just to suffer. I’ve begged and prayed for God to give me something good so I can keep going but I just can’t. Every day it gets harder and harder to want to choose him. At this point if he can’t answer any other prayers maybe he’ll answer if I ask him to take my life.

Something I think that's important to mention, is if your first instinct is to turn to God when struggling, you already have the first step down pat.
He offers us something much bitter. Or biter. Whichever you prefer. Becuz reality BITES. . . . But . . . you must accept or reject what He offers. You have the power.

We're suffering with a purpose. Yes, we stumble but He doesn't let us fall. In the end, we grow stronger as we continue to hope and surrender in what God can do (peace), not relying on our own power and understanding.

Ever since I started high school my relationship with God’s been on the decline. I’ve gone back to secular ways, I barely have time to read the Bible, I’m worried all the time whether I spend enough time with God or follow him and I just fear of what’s gonna happen. My 2nd quarter’s gonna be even worse because the first one was already hard, and I’m worried I’m just gonna ditch following him entirely. As the Bible says, I need to watch out because god could return any day now, so I feel like I can’t just take a break, even though that feels like it’s the only way out. I need prayers now, please.
