Hey Mike I have that same toy set I found in a thrift store with more pieces and have used it several times and actually keep the 2 you have in my ammo can cook kit that stays in the bed of my truck. Mine even had a little stainless steel spatula that works awesome and fits in my tiny little utensil kit. I love that stove 👍🏻 Sure and awesome day out with ya here, and hey I am with you 👍🏻 I like my toys 😉❤️🔥🙏🏻🤟🏻
You fixed the trouble with the larger pot stand offs with that little trivet. That lunch looked delicious and the toy set of pans were just perfect......Take care, Bluefin.
suggestion: cook mac noodles at home. and add the tomato sauce so it marinates the noodles in a quality zip lock freezer baggie. At your campsite reheat the noodle/tomato sauce by placing it in the hot water of the coffee kettle on your the stove. Add your cooked sausage. You can then eat out of the baggie held inside your insulated bowl. No field dish washing. and you can reuse the hot water for your coffee.
I used a similar stainless steel cook set for children's play I was pleased but I ran into a problem with durability. The handles after a year or two started coming off because they were spot-welded.. the meat fork and spatula came apart within about 2 weeks. but I still liked the spatula and meet fork I tried to fix both but just didn't know how and don't have a spot welder I used a little set of toys for camping set for a little while but soon it fell apart I still use the little spaghetti Dipper to this day to dip olives 😂 if they were a little more durable I would buy another set ??
These are really good quality with rivet handles and good 304 stainless. I’m not saying they are better than good Bushcraft cook ware, but if you find a good price, might be worth a try! Thanks for watching!
Heck yeah! That stuff will work. I need a drink “booster” about right now myself. 😂 The Apple Chicken Mac ‘n Sauce creation looked really good to me!!!
A drink booster sounds good! That stainless was really good quality. I think a noodle or ramen would be good with that sausage. Thanks for watching Chris!
Great thrift store find in the cooking set! I've had the chicken-apple sausage before, and I have to admit, it's not the greatest stuff in the world. I bought it because it didn't have all the nitrates and trites in it. My old kidneys don't work so well. Thanks for the video!
Hey that jr. chef cook kit seemed to work pretty well for ya. I do like the insulated bowl. That could be handy. I like the chicken sausage ok. They used to serve it at work from time to time. It's not bad. Good seeing ya out Mike! Hoping too again soon myself. Best to ya!
It is. 304 stainless is in fact the same thing that most Bushcraft cookware is made of. This would be, in my professional opinion, as a learned person of science, better than cooking on a rock, with dirty fingers, drinking creek water and all the other septic things that Bushcrafters do. I’ve eaten Vienna sausages with one hand and baited a hook with the other, often forgetting which hand was which. Don’t listen to the naysayers, lawyers put restrictions on product descriptions to protect the general public from themselves. I am super glad you asked. I would not endorse anything that might hurt someone. I really appreciate you watching and commenting! All the best!
I dunno Mike... I'm not sure if it was the same toy set or not. But after looking on the box, it says do not use for food preparation, or something like that. I found the set awhile back and also though it was a pretty neat kit. I posted it one of my FB groups. It was there that a few warned of using it for cooking. You might want to do a bit a research on it.
Yeah Chris it does. I believe that’s because children shouldn’t use kitchen appliances. It’s a legal disclaimer. That metal is better than most of the stuff I have in my kits. Feels exactly like MSR brand. No worries. Good to talk about it. Take care! ATB! 🙂
Found a set of Melisa & Doug pans on Amazon complete with rack and wooden utensils.
They had a great price on them the other day. Less than 20.
Thanks for watching!
great score. they work well but don't stand up to super high heat
This was a really good stainless! I was impressed!
Thanks for watching!

You fixed the trouble with the larger pot stand offs with that little trivet. That lunch looked delicious and the toy set of pans were just perfect......Take care, Bluefin.
That’s my go to for all the small cookware I use. Nice and stable!
Thanks for watching!

The Chicken Sausage really made it!

IKEA has a similar toy cook set called DUKTIG, and it does suits the IKEA hobo stove made out of the ORDNA cutlery basket
That’s cool! I’ll check that too. You know it has to be marketed under different brands. Thanks for the info.
Thanks for watching!

It doesn’t taste like breakfast sausage,
But I thought it was really good.
Yeah, watch those nitrates and trites.
Thanks for watching!

Thank you sir! Looks like some serious cold weather over the weekend, so I’m watching football! And cooking, and eating and sleeping. Thanks Karl!
Hey Mike is the cook set made well, is it worth having for real.

@@MIKESWILDWORLDthat’s good to know. I’ve seen them in the store but didn’t see the bottoms.

I believe, if you look on the bottom of the pans, it is stamped saying not for stove top use. Just saying.
