Thanks for the the comment .. really appreciate it… basically used all the spare timber I had (I worked at the time building timber garden buildings so I did have a lot to help me.. it is 3 m long by 1 metre deep… i used 13mmx13mm gauge mesh on the front and side.. as that helps stop sparrowhawks and indeed mice getting it also painted black with hammerite as that’s defo needed to see in… trust me a must!.. the rest is basically your own imagination of how you want your aviary to be.
One way to get rid of your rat problem if you know anyone who owns a ferret or ferrets you can run them under your decking believe me once the rats get the scent of the ferrets they will start moving and go elsewhere or even if the ferrets may even kill the rats either way it should solve your rat problem I've used ferrets in the past and there better than any traps hope this is helpful
Loved the video Ben I hope you get that rat I’m absolutely terrified of them I had one in my garden Colin got it and killed it I’ve never been so scarred in my life good luck 🤞 you get it

Now that’s an idea!…no more signs of rats for over 6 months now… still set traps regularly and get the odd mouse but no evidence of rats at all.
Can you keep finches and quail together

Nooice!
Thanks.
in my country, where I live, it is unthinkable to make a wooden floor, if I make a floor, it is made of concrete heloo from Croatia 🍺🍺
Hello!
Hi, looking to build my own aviary, what materials did you use, and what are the measurements? This really is an inspiration!

Do you know anyone with ferrets? It helped with rats in my garden.
Someone asked me that before I did know someone, but I lost touch with him.. they seem to have disappeared since I’ve had the cats though
@@bstrippy1664 sound enough.

Thanks for the advice, strangely enough we were talking about that yesterday!.. I do think I know someone that may help. Thanks.
