I do think it's a slap in the face to end the game on a unbeatable boss battle, but since this act is purely for story, I don't mind. Hell, it could be a foreshadowing to a Classic finale. Seriously, I wish this game was canon. The ending is so good, that a Classic finale would be excellent. Hell, I have a lot of ideas for such a thing.
Nightmarebrolen9o Waht he refers as a slap in the face is the fact that you basically have to lose the final battle to beat the game. Which is absolutely anticlimatic
Nightmarebrolen9o But that's not true at all. The only thing that could possibly indicate that the original Mega Man would stand no chance against Vile is the fact that Mega Man X in his weakest, un-upgraded state can't damage Vile, so you're inferring that the original Mega Man could never hurt Vile just from that. This is purely conjecture on your part. But you're making an incredibly simplistic assumption. Ask yourself, how does Mega Man X grow so powerful that he eventually surpasses Zero during the events of the first game, easily being able to defeat Vile by the end? By collecting upgrades. Where does he get these upgrades? Dr. Light. Sure, you can also get the buster upgrade from Zero if you're ignorant/incompetent, but the point remains that Dr. Light was totally capable of empowering a robot even beyond the standards of 21XX, given the incentive, and did so while he was still alive. Your deduction has been found wanting.
***** Well it's not just that. Story wise Zero's specs outstrip Mega Man's and Bass's combined. It's no wonder that even an incomplete Zero could mop the floor with Rock.
Matt Yan Again, where are you getting that information? There are no official "stats" for the characters in the series. There is absolutely nothing that would indicate to you the information that Zero is specifically more powerful than Mega Man and Bass combined. You're only inferring that Zero must necessarily be more powerful because, well, Wily said so. And Wily is a maniac who literally has fallen flat on his face in failure over ten times before finally creating Zero. The information you're presenting is all fanon that people (especially fanboys) like to believe is true, but has no firm basis in reality. Allow me to be frank: assigning strict power levels to the characters in the Mega Man series is flagrantly retarded. Zero didn't even need his hyper-advanced original body to get through the Mega Man Zero series, where he was at his most badass. Indeed, he fought and bested his original body regardless of its supposed power using a shell that should by all rights be inferior. It made no difference what body Zero was in, he was a goddamn hero either way. In this regard, comparing power levels in the series is ridiculous: it's entirely missing the point.
More like "How long until I get bored of playing with -Zero- Z-Protoype's goofy AI?" Sadly, he has the most dynamic AI of all the bosses in the entire game...

This part was so cool, spectacular end/climax for the game. I was freaking out because the game tricked me into believing there would be a boss who wasn't listed on any online weakness chart,
Did you know? When Zero get out from the capsule, don't move or shoot, just let him come near you, HE WILL STOP AND LOOK AT YOU! But If you move, he will jump back like a scared cat.
Honestly, I think that mega would be able to at least a bit of damage to zero. Consider his strength. He certainly wouldn't be able to defeat X, Zero, or any of the 64 mavericks, and definitely not sigma, but he would be able to do some damage. I mean, EVERYTHING can damage you in the x series, and he could possibly push zero into some spikes, which we all know cause unspeakable pain.
Yeah, Mega may be inferior tech compared to Zero, but Mega has beaten so many robots, including the likes of Sunstar, Bass, Doc Bots, King, Proto Man... He really should have enough experience to beat Zero.
The way I view it, Wily had zero built for this encounter. Megaman may have beaten some bad bots but keep in mind that zero was created with all this in mind. If this fight truly happened, I could see megamans experience keeping him alive until either Zeroes proto body wears out or his does. And what's even worse? This is just zero trying to see X wit the fade Imagine if he had a BUSTER too🤧
Considering a lot of stuff from the classic series is just as effective in X onwards, like Mets and Battons dealing damage, or E-Tanks working just the same in ZX, I feel like Zero would realistically take a lot more damage from Mega Man's shots than Unlimited suggests.
his weakness is Rush Coil. you call rush in front of you and when Zero dashes towards you he activates the coil sending him high and crashes his head on the ceiling causing damage on him.
I think I would like it better if zero was immune to everything except the Yoku Attack. And that you could slowly wear him down to actually beat him. The ending could still be the same. But it'd be nice if there was a cool bonus you could get for beating Yoku man's stage, other than some extra items in the walls.
well technically speaking, a prototype is an initial version of what the ending product, or reploid, will be, and then the real one is made. I dont believe Wily made this and then made another Zero from scratch, so it is actually just the real Zero in early development.
This is what I think about this game. I think this game should essentially be Megaman 8.5, meaning, in the timeline, it comes after 8. In this battle with Zero, Megaman's arm cannon gets ripped off. So now he needs a new buster. This new buster cannot charge. This would lead into Megaman 9, since he can't charge. Now, he had the charge in Megaman 8. So maybe, even though Megaman is immune to the virus, the virus still took some of his abilities, thus, losing the charge for that game (Megaman Unlimited) only. Now, he DOES have a new buster, as I mentioned before. With the new buster, he obviously needs to get used to it, and he's a little off balance. So now he can't slide. Protoman never needed a new buster or whatnot, so he can still charge and slide, abilities he had throughout the entire series. And BAM! This game is suddenly canon (I wish). I think this would be a very nice transition into Megaman 9, since Megaman loses all his abilities sometime prior to Megaman 9. Also, 0:35 Cue awesome dodging skills. And, 2:17 Cue Zero attacks that are in time with the music :D (So awesome...)
And eventually, Wily managed to get his hands on the virus, and converted it into a more controllable form, known as Roboenza, which eventually results in 10.
God imagine making your final boss force loss. What a genius idea, making the final fucking boss unwinnable. I despise Megaman unlimited with my heart and soul.
I've lasted much longer. Even without the E/W tank, you can last really long. The answer is Yoku Attack. Right before getting hit, use Yoku Attack to give yourself the mercy invincibility. You'll last insanely long.

WHAT IS UR WEAKNESS BITCH! Zero:I wonder where is my Z-Saber? well never mind that... Megaman:AHHHH I BETTER LAY DOWN! Zero:Ouch my body is hurting!
Sorry to bust up the Zero circlejerk, but am I seriously the only person who doesn't consider Mega Man to be a oneshot win for Zero? Seriously? I fully believe the Blue Bomber could hold his own if not outright fight Zero to a standstill (I wouldn't even put victory out of the question in a scenario like Unlimited). He's literally built a legacy out of overcoming the odds. His whole thing is he surpasses his programmed limitations. He's fought through scenarios most would consider unbeatable more than once. All those years of experience against a Reploid who JUST woke up? People want to quote that Wily said that Zero far outmatches Mega Man and Bass, but Wily also said the same thing about Bass when he made him and we all know how that went. Proto Man also said that the reason a robot like Bass, who statistically should be more powerful, can never defeat Mega Man is because Mega Man's determination to push through the odds to protect what's important to him gives him an edge over others. The Blue Bomber's spirit makes him nearly unstoppable.
sorry friend megaman stands no chance. He struggled against bass and bass would get rofl stomped by Zero, but do not worry we have a megaman X. A much more mature, stronger, and far more resilient creation of Doctor Light who has the ability to create a bridge between humans and reploids.
***** "Struggled against Bass"? Are you forgetting that a big part of Bass' character is his frustration that he CAN'T overcome Mega Man? Actually, after their first encounter Rock never struggled much with Bass again. That's kinda the whole reason Bass tried to give himself a boost in 8 by using the Evil Energy from that alien robot. Fused with Treble and with an alien steroid shot he still lost to Mega Man, and that's without even combining with Rush. I love X, but Rock is no pushover himself. X was programmed to have unlimited potential, Rock just kinda... DID it on his own. Not to mention that Dr. Light was leagues ahead of roboticists even by X's time. Surpassing limitations and going beyond what humanity thinks they're capable of is kind of the entire point of robots and reploids in this series.
Timothy Huff, jr. Good point but the blue bomber is too outdated to stand a chance against Zero, megaman has always been close in power to bass while Zero on the other hand is light years ahead of megaman. No amount of hustle and resilience could bridge the gap that is why there is a X. Plus megaman doesn't have the infinite potential that X has megaman is a robot who follows lights orders while X is a reploid with human thoughts etc.
***** You act like X and Zero weren't made in Megaman's timeline, lol. They were contemporary with Megaman they just weren't activated until much later. We have no confirmed source stating that they're "light years ahead" of Megaman. As far as sentience goes, yes, in a way they are (at least compared to mainstream robots like Cut Man or Skull Man). Otherwise most of their internal processes are shown to be similar to the Robot Masters, for instance both X and Megaman are solar powered. And Megaman doesn't just follow Light's orders. Rock made the CHOICE to become Megaman when Wily stole the original line of Robot Masters. He was just a simple helper robot up til that point when he ASKED Light to make him into a fighting robot. He also made the CHOICE not to kill Wily even though he both wanted to and robotic logic dictated that it would be the only way to stop Wily permanently. X was programmed to be how he is, Rock was something of an anomaly. The same goes for Bass and Protoman. They were two other robots who did the unthinkable and actually defied their programming on a regular basis. I'm not trying to say that X and Zero are weak (since i love both of them as well) or that they aren't more advanced than Megaman, my argument is that Rock isn't such a no-count as people seem to believe. That's kind of the point of stories like this, the underdog hero triumphs over insurmountable odds. Quite frankly Zero has a lot of plot armor because he is a personal favorite of both the fandom and Inafune.
Timothy Huff, jr. The thing is, Rock doesn't have a strong enough weapon capable of taking on Zero. It's stated in X's schematics that the X-Buster is three times more powerful than the Mega Buster. Looking at some of Zero and X's fights, we see that the X-Buster isn't especially damaging. Add in the fact that Rock's alternate weapons don't have the versatility the Mega Buster has and it really doesn't seem like Rock has a fighting chance. In addition, Zero is just much, much faster than Rock can deal with. Zero dodging Rock's attacks would be close to effortless while Rock dodging Zero's attacks would be close to impossible. Even just going by gameplay standards, fighting Zero without any sort of wall jump or dash, in addition to only dealing 1/3 damage, isn't possible. I love the classic Blue Bomber, but he would easily be stomped by Zero. And that's even before we get into how ridiculously powerful he gets in the Zero series.
His AI is something very original. No one in the series behaves like that: only reacts to the player. And is erratic (no real pattern to exploit) That reinforces that he is in alpha stage
Think again. While he's not as erratic as Zero, Skull Man in Mega Man 4 does nothing but react to the player's inputs. If you just sit there and do nothing, Skull Man will just sit there and do nothing.
Also I noticed something for anyone that's played sonic adventure 1 remember E102's story and at the end he had to fight his brother E101 Mk ll. Now here's the similar fact THEY BOTH DO THE FAMOUS BACK HAND WHEN U SHOOT. Just something I noticed
did you know that sometimes if you do nothing while facing prototype z he will walk up to you and just stare at you??? kinda reason why i never really did anything while he was walking to me so i could just take a break
idk why, but it's super satisfying to watch the chain dodges on the jump rope bit where Zero leaps across the room and you have to skid under him a few times before jumping over him.
I've found another way of dodging Zero that will make him look even more pathetic. Hug the left wall like you do, but when he rushes straight at you, instead of continuing to hug the wall when he jumps back, move forward in case he does the jump attack. His first jump will land to where you were originally located, so in essence you can almost completely eliminate the need to slide by making him land in front of you and then hugging the wall to avoid the dash attack after he does his little hop backwards. If he rushes straight at you just move to the wall, jump to avoid, move out a bit to position yourself to make his jump land away from the wall if he uses it, and just rinse and repeat before you get bored and end the fight. I was able to dodge him for over 15 minutes without having to use an E-Tank at 1 in the morning being drop dead tired. Imagine how long say you or Roahmmythril would be able to dodge him using this strategy?
XIII Hearts Yeah, since uploading this video I have been told of even easier ways of avoiding him (not to mention this was back when I was using an unresponsive game pad), and I don't think I timed how long any other attempts of mine were. For an unbeatable final boss intended to demonstrate how weak Mega Man is compared to the future robots, he sure is exploited easily.
SuperMetalSonic360 Which is why I don't find myself coming back to Unlimited any time soon. Knowing that all that awaits me for completing this game is a horrible excuse for a forced loss scenario whose AI is so easy to break that it is down right embarrassing just kills any sort of motivation to play this game.
XIII Hearts I'm not sure whether you played the latest version of megaman unlimited, but now you can play as z-prototype, which happens to be the grey guy above we call Zero. When you play as z-prototype, no longer you get weapons, you get techniques, even that deflecting slaps the uses against megaman. The ending, well, is non-existing, lol, and you can't fight a mirror match
Interesting to note that X5/X6's X vs Zero theme includes a slowed down X2 vs Zero battle theme in a different key. The sped up version this game has makes that very clear.
I think they sort of rob you of a sense of victory in this fight. Say he beats you and then breaks down. Normally he gets taken away by Wily, but I would have had it so the game ends with a chase scene, so there's at least some sense of urgency and satisfaction when you escape him. Just my two cents on the matter.
What do you even mean with "Nothing balanced about this fight" when I say about the whole game itself, and not a cutsceney fight where the point is not to win at all, but to understand that the new model of robots is exceedengly superior?
the actual ending for this is that megaman kept still so zero wouldn't attack him and then wily caught megaman since he was off guard and he collected zero aswell making megaman quint and sending him back time and dat stuff I rly have no idea what im on about
Interestingly, if you hit Zero with the Yoku Attack Megaman will suffer knockback but no damage - same thing that happens when you hit a shielded enemy with it. So you could fire it when he's close to you and avoid taking damage. If you could also make it in there with full E-tanks, full W-tanks, and full Eddies you could probably stretch this video out to an hour.
It was a good idea, having this fight. It does definitely help the story and it's pretty cool on your first time. And then I suppose there's the awesome music with the robot masters afterwards.
You know everyone assumes the futurebots would be unbeatably powerful, but I don't really see any reason to believe it other than assuming linear escalation, which makes no sense, since X and Zero were both made with tech from Light's time (and remain orders of magnitude stronger than most futurebots), and the major tech advancement for them was in AI/Virus development. Rock lifted a skull fortress, bro; ain't no reploid ever done that. Things that are demonstrably exactly the same between games (like spikes) have roughly the same effect on X as Rock, and Rock survived a fight with like, a robot archangel from space, and was repeatedly noted to operate above his body's capacity. Dude's a super robot; the level of justice in his robo-heart is more important than how it's built. Sure, the tech in X and Zero is more refined, but the tech in my little Mazda is more refined than any 70s muscle car. Still not gonna win a race with one.
No he wasn't. The only pre-X game he even shows up in, is one of the arcade games, which is roughly as canon as Megaman Soccer. He's not even an assassin; we've seen what he was like before Sigma beat him, and he was just an aimless brutal monster. The clear indication, is that the virus is what matters. For that matter, Wily has been building robots "specifically to kill Megaman" since Megaman 2. He's really really bad at it. I'd take something like that as a mark against Zero, not the other way around.
What we know, is that Zero has memories of Dr. Wily, but we also know that he was a vector for a potent AI virus before Sigma somehow took it on, and that said virus definitely gave Sigma some knowledge he never had (first indicated in MMX2 when Sigma talks to Zero). Wily's big thing has always been reprogramming other peoples' creations, so it's probably safe to assume he made the virus. We can't actually be 100% certain that Wily made Zero's body; in fact, if I were REALLY getting into Megaman scholarship, I would suggest it's unlikely, since X1 suggests he's a plain old reploid (you'd think someone would be aware of it if he just showed up out of nowhere, since he would be a discovery on par with X), and there's no indication of him being active prior to the 21XX era. However, some of Sigma's dialogue does suggest that Zero was built expressly to be a a vector for the virus. So yes, I can definitely agree with him having been built by Wily. But you said he was built by Wily to kill Megaman and Bass, and suggested that this means he is stronger than either. Wily built Bass expressly to kill Megaman, THEN juiced him up on cosmic powers vastly outweighing anything ever seen in the X series (Duo and the Dark Energy Being were literally fighting across interstellar distances), and look how THAT turned out. Wily saying he's built THE STRONGEST ROBOT EVER is like Microsoft trying to convince you to buy their latest OS. There is some dialogue in Megaman and Bass which very vaguely alludes to Zero, but that's all we really get in canon. See the thing is, if Wily DID build Zero to kill Megaman (as opposed to being for the purpose of shitting on Dr. Light's legacy, which would make a lot more sense given that Zero is not active in 200X, and the nature of the virus being relatively uncontrollable), then it would mean Zero ultimately failed, or never even had a chance to, because Zero was not active before the 21XX era. But well hell, lets analyze their abilities based on what they actually do then. Zero obviously has better mobility in base form, though Megaman can fly when fully equipped. Zero has a more versatile basic equipment loadout too. They both die if they touch spikes, and they both take roughly equivalent damage when struck by exactly the same plasma blasts. So at a basic level, Zero wins out on mobility by a bit, and they come out looking roughly the same in terms of what they can tank. Everything changes when you remember Megaman lifted a Skull Fortress though. He might as well be the Incredible Hulk compared to Zero. He's also generally had better weapons (a lot more time manipulation and soforth) and some very significant addons that outweigh Zero's little half damage armour (functionally worthless when dealing with someone who can lift a Skull Fortress). X and Zero trend somewhat closer to real robot. Megaman is in the deep end of super robot; he gets stronger the more his burning heart believes in the justice and friendship of the something something. Also he has Metal Blades.
+BitVyper There is a big hole between The X saga and Classic saga, but we can all assume zero was built to destroy megaman, by using stolen plans from dr.light, as we know wily did before (A.K.A Bass and His dog) but there is not much evidence, also zero and x superiority isnt supposed to be "power" but the A.I.
i found other videos of people trying so hard to kill zero to the point they give up and try to run for the door but to their demise it wouldn't opened laughed so hard
If there was a sequel it would be rather about Sigma and the Maverick Hunters, and then involving Sigma fighting Zero, then eventually having Zero join the Hunters. Final boss? Sigma,of course!
Try this one (if it's possible anymore): Try to pause into weapon menu when you get a last hit by Zero and take an E-tank. You will lose one of your hands and let Zero beat you again. You will lose both of your hands XD
Nope. This is one of those games where you just take damage until you're down to one or two units of energy. The battle against Dr. Cossack in MM4 was like that, as well as the battle with Vile in MMX1. Only difference here, of course, is that Mega Man gets his arm ripped off, which ends the battle.
From what I take on the subject, Wily built original Zero in the classic series. This is the original Zero unfinished. If you watch the cutscenes of megaman X4, you get to see Sigma fight an batshit insane Zero, whom acts alot like this one (Not using his buster at all) Zero only started using his Buster when he had a will of his own. Zero also only started using his Saber when he inherited it in X2. (I think it was X2?)
That is very open to debate. I guess it would depend on how long it take for Zero to break down. Even the finished one had problems working correctly unless Sigma for the Zero virus, so I will rephrase. The odds would be stacked against the Blue Bomber more so then ever making it unlikely. At least if the Prototype was like in this game. Any earlier versions wouldn't be able to do much
That's quite a list. :o I like this song, but my favourite boss theme in this game is probably the Bass fight. Too bad it was wasted on a relatively easy boss. :P
I think the same guy who made this game(Note game is Fan Made) made Mega Man Project Zero as a next game, where its Mega Man repaired for his buster and fights Zero again, but almost finished. That fight was also pretty bad ass, but still ended on a cliff hanger and lead to Mega Man X series.
Judging from the quality of the two games, I personally doubt MegaphilX had anything to do with Project Zero. I guess it's at least interesting to see how the two games attempt to bridge the two series together.
The cognitive program was fixed, But because of Sigma shattering the jewel on his head, Zero lost memory of his original objective. That's why in X5 Zero gets stronger with the virus, and if he becomes Awakened again, he is still the same Zero, but he will follow Wily's orders to destroy X and he gains a massive power boost. Omega was basically a reflection of Awakened Zero, and by fighting and defeating Omega, Zero severs his connections with Wily and The Virus.

This is just zero trying to see X wit the fade
Imagine if he had a BUSTER too🤧
I can hear a Metroid speed runner laughing
Gonna say a robot master is no match for a reploid yet i agreed than robots like rockman than have combat data will indeed put a very fierce fight
Considering a lot of stuff from the classic series is just as effective in X onwards, like Mets and Battons dealing damage, or E-Tanks working just the same in ZX, I feel like Zero would realistically take a lot more damage from Mega Man's shots than Unlimited suggests.
Backhand to the max! Zero is being a inspiration to us all, from this day on I shall backhand everyone and everything that gets in my way.
How'd that go for u?😂💪🏾
PLOT ARMOR! YOU CANNOT DEFEAT IT!
Being completely immune to all weapons is a pretty solid prototype in my opinion. :P
his weakness is Rush Coil. you call rush in front of you and when Zero dashes towards you he activates the coil sending him high and crashes his head on the ceiling causing damage on him.
Binario Ochentaycinco jaja good joke xD
Ngl I kinda wish it would be that, then all of a sudden someone pull out the rush coil by accident and finds out they can damage Zero like that
What happens if you kill him with rush coil or if you can kill him with it?
Wait, you actually CAN BEAT ZERO!?
No
Roahmmythril would be proud of these dodging skills.
SS2LP it’s not that complicated.
I love his channel
I forgot what he's doing rn tho
Him and Kevvl are the BOIS but idk where kevvl is
Reploid revo too
I think I would like it better if zero was immune to everything except the Yoku Attack. And that you could slowly wear him down to actually beat him. The ending could still be the same. But it'd be nice if there was a cool bonus you could get for beating Yoku man's stage, other than some extra items in the walls.
Thank you so much for your efforts to make this amazing song last as long as humanly possible
well technically speaking, a prototype is an initial version of what the ending product, or reploid, will be, and then the real one is made. I dont believe Wily made this and then made another Zero from scratch, so it is actually just the real Zero in early development.
You know you about to get your ass handled when the boss as no health system and is not affected by your attacks
Wow, and zero isn't even complete yet, he would pwn megaman when he was complete XD
Megaman: SAVE ME WALL! SAVE ME!!!
***** Well... Yeah, I can't think of anything. Megaman 8.75!
And eventually, Wily managed to get his hands on the virus, and converted it into a more controllable form, known as Roboenza, which eventually results in 10.
MrCrazyToad That would also make sense, as he would need time to convert the virus, and wouldn't unleash it immediately.
J.A.L.M Productions That'd be interesting, I'm believing this theory more and more every time someone comments on it xD
Thought this is supposed to be like 10.5 or something.
God imagine making your final boss force loss. What a genius idea, making the final fucking boss unwinnable. I despise Megaman unlimited with my heart and soul.
That's judging Zero had his "Wall sickness" fighting Rock, then again Zero is already capable of Wall Jumping so yeah....Poor Rock.
I've lasted much longer. Even without the E/W tank, you can last really long. The answer is Yoku Attack. Right before getting hit, use Yoku Attack to give yourself the mercy invincibility. You'll last insanely long.
zero:all this doging...just to get yo arm ripped after 4.3 mins
Megaman:HOLY F**K! THIS GUY IS A HARD ASS TO BREAK!
Zero: -_-
Megaman:(shoots at zero)
Zero:(uses his hand to get rid of it)
Megaman:FUFUUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUUFUFUFUFUFUUFUFUFUFUFUUF
Zero:No spaming pls (then dash at him like a boss)
Megaman:(uses all type of skills and power and shoot at zero) WTF! WHAT IS UR
WEAKNESS BITCH!
Zero:I wonder where is my Z-Saber? well never mind that...
Megaman:AHHHH I BETTER LAY DOWN!
Zero:Ouch my body is hurting!
Zero: (just laught under uncotroled)
XD
That was imbecilic.
haahah best commentary ever
sonicstars2 take it as fun bro
What even is this comment...
It's not funny, it's just borderline cringe.
Well, this is nostalgic...
Remembered watching this back then & loving the soundtrack
MegaMan: WHY IS YOUR SPRITE SO MUCH MORE DETAILED THAN MINE?!
Zero: BECAUSE I'M AWESOME!
Mega Man: *Hit* OW!
Zero: You're no challenge, give it up you can't hurt me!
*****
"Struggled against Bass"?
*****
You act like X and Zero weren't made in Megaman's timeline, lol.
Mega: Luckily he didn't use the buster, if he had done it, i'd be screwed...
Zero: Ima destroy you Mega Man
Rock (Mega Man) : do you wanna have a bad time
also Rock: Dodgeing
Zero: *NANI*
Mega Man: YOU'RE TOO SLOW!
Zero: ...Cheater.
This is impossible...they're both so strong or skilled that they can't hurt eachother!
His AI is something very original. No one in the series behaves like that: only reacts to the player. And is erratic (no real pattern to exploit)
That reinforces that he is in alpha stage
Think again. While he's not as erratic as Zero, Skull Man in Mega Man 4 does nothing but react to the player's inputs. If you just sit there and do nothing, Skull Man will just sit there and do nothing.
Also I noticed something for anyone that's played sonic adventure 1 remember E102's story and at the end he had to fight his brother E101 Mk ll. Now here's the similar fact THEY BOTH DO THE FAMOUS BACK HAND WHEN U SHOOT. Just something I noticed
zero: come here coward
mega: my name is megaman boiii
did you know that sometimes if you do nothing while facing prototype z he will walk up to you and just stare at you??? kinda reason why i never really did anything while he was walking to me so i could just take a break
"Stay perfectly still....his visions based on movement...."
Megaman lights a road flare.
"Well shit."
That theme is freaking so well done..
idk why, but it's super satisfying to watch the chain dodges on the jump rope bit where Zero leaps across the room and you have to skid under him a few times before jumping over him.
SuperMetalSonic360
Which is why I don't find myself coming back to Unlimited any time soon. Knowing that all that awaits me for completing this game is a horrible excuse for a forced loss scenario whose AI is so easy to break that it is down right embarrassing just kills any sort of motivation to play this game.
cool story bro
XIII Hearts I'm not sure whether you played the latest version of megaman unlimited, but now you can play as z-prototype, which happens to be the grey guy above we call Zero. When you play as z-prototype, no longer you get weapons, you get techniques, even that deflecting slaps the uses against megaman. The ending, well, is non-existing, lol, and you can't fight a mirror match
bruno couto I did, beat it once, and then stopped again.
Interesting to note that X5/X6's X vs Zero theme includes a slowed down X2 vs Zero battle theme in a different key. The sped up version this game has makes that very clear.
Oh my God... Even the FULLY CHARGED Mega Buster!? And what's with Zero knocking off Mega's arm!?
I think they sort of rob you of a sense of victory in this fight. Say he beats you and then breaks down. Normally he gets taken away by Wily, but I would have had it so the game ends with a chase scene, so there's at least some sense of urgency and satisfaction when you escape him. Just my two cents on the matter.
From what I hear, it's an 8 bit mashup of various Zero-related theme songs from the X series. It's pretty cool!
What do you even mean with "Nothing balanced about this fight" when I say about the whole game itself, and not a cutsceney fight where the point is not to win at all, but to understand that the new model of robots is exceedengly superior?
I really want to play this game but I can't find a program to run if u find any programs that can play it could u tell me thanks
OMG 8-bit X VS zero theme AWESOME it should be called Megaman VS Zero theme now lol
More like "Zero Chance"
***** Indeed, where is U-GEN when you need him? :P
its a x vs zero + zero x3 remixed parts, and can have another themes remixed but i dont know, but dont is pure x vs zero theme.
yea i heard his other themes too mostly x3 and x2
+Anthony Lin the theme used on this stage is x vs zero remixed from megaman x5/x6.
the actual ending for this is that megaman kept still so zero wouldn't attack him and then wily caught megaman since he was off guard and he collected zero aswell making megaman quint and sending him back time and dat stuff
I rly have no idea what im on about
with each shot zero is probably saying "bitch please"
Interestingly, if you hit Zero with the Yoku Attack Megaman will suffer knockback but no damage - same thing that happens when you hit a shielded enemy with it. So you could fire it when he's close to you and avoid taking damage. If you could also make it in there with full E-tanks, full W-tanks, and full Eddies you could probably stretch this video out to an hour.
You have mastered all of zero's attacks and if you kept on doing what you were doing it would have been a endless cycle
4:12.44 time to survive zero four long. (impossible challenge)
I just love how it's December in the real world and Dr. Wily's fortress in Unlimited is red and green.
imagine if they let him use the saber and zero buster it be over faster than this
I keep hearing Evan Drago during this...
"...I must break you."
i can hear his x3 theme, x vs zero, and the x1 boss theme
It was a good idea, having this fight. It does definitely help the story and it's pretty cool on your first time. And then I suppose there's the awesome music with the robot masters afterwards.
I have another question: Why can't Mega Man charge his Buster?
I just realized that the boss music is a sped up remix of x vs zero from x5
"IT'S... IT'S... IT'S LIKE HE'S MADE OUT OF MET HATS OR SOMETHING! D:"
skip to 3:01 if you finally wanna see him start dieing
this might asswell be a real megaman game
Holy crap dude that's Mega Man MLG man right there
i found other videos of people trying so hard to kill zero to the point they give up and try to run for the door but to their demise it wouldn't opened laughed so hard
That sounds pretty amusing. :o I'm definitely going to try it when I revisit this stage in a later video.
*****
Well it's true. I saw the glitch in MegaphilX's video. But not sure does it exist still
Even as a prototype some one can kick ass
It is very authentic indeed. Definitely the best fangame out there. :)
LONG LIVE MEGAMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Makes sense. He didn't even have one in the flashback battle against Sigma in MMX4, and that couldn't have happened too long before MMX1.
Even though you can't win this fight, I love dragging it on as long as possible just so I can listen to that awesome music!
this makes me wonder. if megaman is no match for zero how would handle a augmented human empowered by a bio metal
That depends on whether it has an incredibly exploitable AI or not.
Nope. This is one of those games where you just take damage until you're down to one or two units of energy. The battle against Dr. Cossack in MM4 was like that, as well as the battle with Vile in MMX1. Only difference here, of course, is that Mega Man gets his arm ripped off, which ends the battle.
Can't believe its been 2 years already
aka how to listen to all of "Division By Zero"
Z-Prototype - Weakness: None
Health: Unknown
Defense: Indestructible
I like this song, but my favourite boss theme in this game is probably the Bass fight.
Zero exploded, because the mega buster hurt him, it is as if you launch a ball, do not enter inside the enemy, but you cause internal damage
How to survive proto zero: just stand still
MegaMan: *explodes the note* imma do it dodging.
Just found something creepy
If you have a phone try to zoom in with the full screen
Nothing happens..
Stay tuned for the sequel, titled "No Escape for Mega Man"! :D
If this was canon it will lead to the dr light temporal event when everyone had the life suck out of them
Yeah, I just found that out. Turns out I'm not so educated on the X series. :P
Maybe he is like that because Zero was just a prototype, then he was released in the story of megaman X.
