Trike Fest 2023! The Largest Three Wheeler Event of the Year. What's it like?

- This was my 6th Trike Fest. This was my BEST Trike Fest. From the sounds of it, next year is going to be EVEN BETTER. If you've never been but you've been thinking about checking it out... DO IT. You won't regret going. It will likely turn into an annual thing. If you're like me, you're on Facebook and Instagram and TH-cam, Obviously, and you see all these trike people. You interact with all these trike people. You've probable messaged and made friends with a lot of these trike people... well... this is like the BIG "trike people reunion". Every year we all make the pilgrimage back to where the OG's from Three Wheeler World made it happen... and it's good.
It's definitely evolved and gotten bigger and has gone through it's growing pains, but it's become better for it and continues to be the premier 3 wheeler event of the year.
So, most of this video was recorded on Saturday morning as I walked around. I guess the upside to that is that I was able to mention a bunch of the things that happened over the course of the week and drop videos in from those moments.
One of my regrets is that I didn't get more pictures with people. So next year I'm making a list of people I want to get a picture with and I'm making it happen! AND... next year... I'm not bringing any projects to finish. This year and last year... that soaked up too much of my time and stressed me out... so NO MORE! If it's not ready when I leave my house... it's not coming to Trike Fest!

Thank you for taking the time to share a good portion of Trikefest with those who couldn't make it. I found my mind yearning as I watched, for details of the story that elicited so many energetic hand movements. You know it had to be epic....

AT 14:18 I noticed a 85 Big Red with a TRX 350D engine in it ? WOW! Trike Fest has lots of things going on. Man I wish we had something like that down here in Florida, it would be awesome. Thank You for sharing the video! 👍
Yes sir, that must be Brad Rye's "Dicker". He's punched that out to 500cc at this point. The think is an animal! I've got one in the works! Bought it from a friend as an incomplete project. Stay tuned for that! Hoping to bring it to Trike Fest next year.

I only see Honda's. I am restoring a 1985 Yamaha 200 chain drive that has a torn aluminum bearing/swingarm thing and I cannot find one anywhere. I am getting setup to cast my own in a home built foundry. I definitely want to make it next year. Thanks for sharing the video.

@@ThisOldTrike yeah definitely. My dad grew up in the 80's and had himself a 350X when he was a young adult. When he was dating my mom, he'd ride it to where she worked so that her parents didn't see his truck, because they hated him at the time lol. He had to sell it years back but just this past winter, he bought another 350X and then bought a Big Red a month later. Both very nice machines, the 350X turns a lot of heads lol, fun to ride, especially with the super trap exhaust on it

My goal is to get the Yamaha restored so I can sell it and buy a 200x or a 350x. May be wishful thinking but who knows. I am starting a welding/fabrication/vapor honing/sand blasting everything all the way up to cars and frames along with machining and powder coating.
might look to a blaster for parts etc
Still don’t see any Kawasaki stuff. I guess there’s no reason to watch these videos anymore. Tired of seeing red.
It's true that there's not much green in my videos because there's not much out there anymore. Honda out-sold Kawasaki in the ATV market quite significantly and the Hondas just never die... That's why there's so much red. If that means you don't want to watch anymore, I guess I'll see you around!
@@ThisOldTrike thanks for your reply. I tend to pick up Kawasakis like some folks pick up Hondas. I’ll keep watching but it would be nice to see a collection of Kawasaki, Suzuki, or maybe some Yamaha trikes. I need to load up the family, hook up the trailer, and head to the next Trikefest.
I have tecate 250 and will be going this year but hard to find parts for it basically she be coming to just look at until she fixed but she coming with the 83 250r
