WOW…I’m impressed. I’ve been stamping for 30+ years and I’ve never seen this technique with embossing folders and alcohol inks on aluminum foil. I LOVE IT!!! TYFS 💕🌸💕
I'm trying to decide if I want to dip my toe into alcohol inks. Tutorials like this have made me say "YES!" These are all lovely, Wendy, and the purple Happy Birthday is exceptional. So very glad you rode out Milton without major issues.
Thanks so much! I’m not as savvy as some crafters with alcohol inks, but they are fun! I just expect the unexpected and I figure out how to make it work.
What a cool idea. Your cards are all just beautiful. But love the flower. So happy you and your family had to go thru that hurricane …and happy you were all ok. 💙🙏🏻💙
I love alcohol inks. They're SO EASY to use!!! In my opinion, silhouette stamps and/or dies add a touch of elegance to any card design. Next time you use alcohol inks with embossing folders, create your ink design prior to embossing and see if you like it better! If you want a certain color of alcohol ink on a specific area (flower), add alcohol and/or the blending solution to the felt pad itself before "pouncing" on the design! All of your cards are beautiful but my favorite is the "encouragement" card. So elegant!
Many, kind thanks, Wendy, for some fabulous cards!! I will definitely try this out, as I will also have to 'dust off' my alcohol inks!! I very much appreciated seeing your finished products, as that encourages me that each creation doesn't have to be 'absolutely perfect' to satisfy our desires to 'be creative and enjoy the process'!! (Wonderful to hear you all safely 'weathered' the hurricane!!)
@@villagecardandcrafts - Thanks so kindly for your reply!! (I remember in Psych class, the professor told us: 'The folks who think they are absolutely 'fine', those are the folks you should worry about! When someone insists they are 'unbalanced', no need to worry about a relationship with them'!!) lol
So glad to know that you and your family are safe. We are hearing that a number of areas are actually flooding more now that the storm has officially passed. Very scary. This was a fun technique and I loved not only the variety of examples but also seeing your process.. it is helpful! Hard choice, but I think I like the floral best… 🧑🏼🎨😀
Yes, it’s true. There are many areas flooding even more. My friend’s mom lost her home it’s been a nightmare for them that began 3 hurricanes ago. It’s now a total loss after 3 floods. On a brighter note, I’m glad you found one you liked. 🩷
❤ GORGEOUS CARDS!!!❤ FYI, when I read the title I was thinking of actual "foiling"! LOL But was pleasantly surprised with the outcome! I LOVE playing with my alcohol inks and now have another way to use them!! Thanks for the idea!!! Hugs my crafty and creative Friend 💕 XOXOXO 💕 p.s. SO happy you are safe with no issues around your home!!! 💕🇺🇲💕
@@villagecardandcraftsso very sorry to hear of your brother’s e patience with Milton. May he be safe, healthful and receive the help he needs for recovery in good timing.
Thank you! Well, I have a Cannon Megatank printer. I think I’ve never replaced the ink and I’ve had it 3 years. In fact, I’m getting close to having to order ink! Thanks for reminding me. As far as card…I use Recollections 65# cardstock which works fine in my Cannon’s main paper tray. Sadly it will only work with 28# thru the rear feeder. I do have issues with it connecting Bluetooth from time to time. If I could direct connect I doubt I’d have any issue at all.
Which one is your favorite?
Flower one, I have that folder.
@sallybischof4828 it’s a great one!
The argye green. Beautiful!!
Thank you!
All three. This is a keeper video

I think the purple pillow-like card was fantastic. I haven't used my alcohol inks in a while and now I'm super inspired to play with them again.
That’s great! Have fun! 🤩
Another great idea and motivation to use MY alcohol inks! Are you visiting my craft room while I'm asleep? Your videos always address my issues!
Awww that makes my heart sing! If you have any other issues I may be able to address, send to me! Email, Facebook, etc. 😊

Fun video. My fave is the floral. Wondering which type of printer, ink and card stock you recommend to print your own sentiments. Thx.

Very pretty cards. I love the idea of using the aluminum foil that’s awesome. I am from central florida where are you from?
Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! We live in The Villages. 😀
I would use alcohol markers as you can control where the ink goes
Ok! Give it a try and have fun! 🩷
Would it have worked if you coloured the embossing folder first?
I believe the alcohol inks would stain the folders, so I didn't try.
I can't get 'like' to work - but I do!
Aww thank you! ❤️
have you tried doing this with other liquids. acrylic paint maybe
Not, I haven’t because acrylic paint is opaque and you would lose the shiney aspect of the foil.
@@villagecardandcrafts ok thank you.
Cannot choose a favorite, each spe ial
Thanks so much!
Where can I get the pocket ephemera holder?
This is what I bought:amzn.to/4dFpJ9X
You didn't need to seal the alcohol ink?
No not at all. It dried without any issue. 😊
