Fantastic video bud! As a beginner golfer I felt the pain at 5:42 😆 I look forward to future uploads!

One thing that helped my chipping immensely over the last couple years was using the same wedge for every shot around the green (within about 45-50 yards). I got a 52 degree wedge and use it for basically every shot (greenside bunkers I use my 56 degree). I have taught myself how to hit a bunch of different shaped shots with the 52 to do what I want to do with each shot. Made it a lot easier than trying to use different wedges for different shots. Almost immediately took 5 shots off my game learning to do that.

Interesting, I’ll have to try that!

As another extra tall, extra big fella (6'3", 470lbs), im impressed with the control and your ability to use your size. You use that big gut to send that ball *flying*.

I appreciate that. Definitely getting to a point tho where my body is fighting back so I need to lose some weight

@Send1tVlogs yeah, same. I like to say I'm a Double Extra Large guy (Both Big and Tall) but that number next to the XL is less of a 2 and more of a 6. Need to get on that before it morphs into a 7.

You have really good swing mechanics for your size and handicap, you should be able to drop your handicap quite quickly by improving your short game. For chipping, try opening your stance, weight forward and cutting across in your downswing from right to left. This will make it much easier to make solid contact, drastically lowering the risk that you chunk it

I will have to give that a try, thanks for the support

I've only been to the driving range and being a baseball player i just find it hard to get out of the batter stance so I'm always slicing. That's why I nvr got into golf on the course. I'm either on the lake or at the gun range

Lol that’s the issue I am having. You can see my stance on all my shots is an open stance like I used to have in baseball

@Send1tVlogs and also u feel the need to lean forward with the shot like that's what's going to give it more forward momentum and u end up with ur club head slightly turned to the right or left. Frustrating

Putting: You're not "using the ball". Take a good look at the ball for more than just a sphere. For instance, look at the linear labeling (not the brand name). It's printed in a straight line. Let's use that line as you would a ruler. When you stand 6' behind the ball (don't crouch down) look for the contour of the green to identify which way and how much break to play. Now ... identify a spot on the green that will allow your ball to travel toward then bend to follow the line toward the cup. IMPORTANT ... In your minds eye, imagine that point is now your pretend cup location. For instance, the aim point may be 4" left and 6" short (or maybe 4' left and 3' shot of the actual cup if it's downhill. Now take your newly found "ruler" (labeling facing up) and line it up with your aim point. This allows you to always have a line toward the aim point (rarely the hole). Writing documentation is almost as hard as golf, but if you practice this technique you will quickly see how it works effectively.

That is some next level putting advice, I'll have to try that out

@@Send1tVlogs If that works for You, we'll address your slice next. You're setting up "open" which will make you cut the ball, meaning a slice (mild to wild). You need to post another video of You with the camera on your "hands side". Ball placement in your stance plays a role in slicing as well. Putting 1st.

Stand farther away from ball when driving
