If the government invokes the MDT because of this kind of incident, what does it say about our AFP? Our own AFP cannot defend themselves or is it because of orders not to engage? The orders of the AFP must be clear or else the country will lose face.

I think better to trigger that mutual treaty agreements to know how strong and how far can it go? So that we can measure how much more preparation we need because this treaty will take to us Congress, then Pentagon, and senator to president, same here in Philippines it take a long time to take measurements and respond.

I'm a retired US Navy Veteran, been assigned on 2 aircraft carriers. I can guarantee all of you that China will not have anything close to what the US have. Our experience in aircraft carrier warfare alone spans over 100 years. Besides the 11 carriers Mr Mogato mentioned, we are currently building 2 new Ford Class carriers, the USS John F Kennedy and the USS Dorris Miller.
