Just tried all 3 recommendations. My favorite is actually El Tesoro. Thanks for the great suggestions. For everyone struggling to find these. I picked all 3 up at Total Wine.
Thank you and sorry about that! I got a new transmitter that i used for this video and didn't realize how bad it was. I tried to fix it in post production but I am not the greatest at that. I do apologize about the audio! I just didn't wanna lose out on this video especially since this was the 2nd time i filmed it. (First time had a camera issue)
Lalo is amazing and the grandson of Don Julio .. additive free and smooth … around 45-50 $ it’s my go to now … plz go try some .. I promise you will love it :)
I have fallen in love with Lalo. The best for sipping but I have made a margarita with it. Using only fresh lime juice, and a splash of Cointreau. Pure joy.
Gran Centenario Repesado was my favorite everyday drinking tequila... until I tasted Cimarron Reposado, now that's all I drink & yes, G4 & Fortuleza are muy bueno👍
3 of the 4 are already in my amateur collection. The additive free ones are truely joyous to sip on. Tequileño has the bright agave flavor and fortaleza has a very well rounded sipper flavor profile.
FINALLY I got to taste a tequila that you recommend! I just opened my bottle of El Tequileño Reposado (got it from Germany) here in Finland and now it is confirmed what you always say: There is good and bad tequila. So far I've had the less good stuff but this one opened my eyes. It is exactly like you describe in this video. Thank you very much!
My brother (bartender) bought my dad FORTALEZA, the reposado & Añejo .. and one day I just bought him the blanco and my dad asked.. why ? And I just said, because it’s just tequila, and the purest form of it.. I like that ..
El Tequileno is my favourite tequila in my price range. I recommend it to everyone I know who drinks or wants to try tequila. You really can spend a lot more and get a lot less.
Thanks for the Ones you like... Fortaleza is a bit too expensive for me. Absolutely love El Tesoro & Tequelino. Everybody has their favorite. Mine is G4.
You are NOT wrong about Forteleza! I had a bottle of Anejo once a few months ago, a flavor to never forget!!! Absolutely INCREDIABLE flavor and smoothness.
I went to a Mexican restaurant today and ordered this drink and was blown away by it ,want to buy a bottle immediately but at $200 a bottle here in New Zealand might have to pass it up😔
Fortaleza is the best in my opinion. They produce their tequila in such a traditional way that it’s my favorite. Don Guillermo is doing it the way it was done over 100 years ago 😊
I have been following you for a while, can’t find the Forteleza anywhere darn it! but man I have tried a lot of your recommendations and just wonderful! Ty! Tromba is sooooo good I’m having a margarita with simple syrup, Grand Marnier, fresh lime juice and and a splash oh fresh squeezed Oj OMG!
As I sit here sipping on my Glencarin glass of Fortaleza Reposado I find myself in Tequila bliss! I am so appreciative that so many brands are coming about with the true spirit of Tequila made in there traditional way. (Vulcan) with no additives and no "Help" on flavor. (Don Julio 1942.) New brands from the descendant's of former good brands. (Lalo) coming out with true expressions, without shortcuts, to give us true drinking pleasure, Thank you Lui and Guillermo for supporting a great tradition!
Good list. I agree with others that there are more great Tequilas out there. Volans is another great one. But Fortaleza hands down is the best there is imo. Nice video, keep up the good work. Salud.
You definitely need to try G4 if you haven't, I'd say g4 and tequila Ocho could easily replace tequileno, and tesoro on this list. Very good tequila. Tapatio extra anejo is on another level also. Lots of good tequila out there.
El tesoro blanco is up there as my favorite tequilas to drink. G4 has a slight edge over el tesoro blanco though, very good tequilas and very affordable, not like these celebrity made tequilas that are overpriced garbage
Me and my fiance 28-29 liked ocho repo more. To me it was smoother but my brother in law and father in law (older) preferred tesoro! They said it was better and smoother! So who knows! I love codigo too. So hard to beat these 3. Fortaleza was ok. Had a lot of spice to it. My fiance didn't like it much. Instant burn for her
I have a bottle of Fortaleza, I bought it at the family distillery in Mexico. Here is the states it's called Fortaleza but in Mexico it's called Abuelos. So my bottle says Abuelos
The Casa San Matias tequilas are amazing with my favorite overall shopping tequila, especially for the price being Corazon Anejo. I hope you can review Corazon on your channel one day if you haven't already!
I just don’t have ready access to El Tequileño. El Tesoro has been a favorite for decades. Fortaleza is a favorite of mine too, but has been a bit difficult to come by of late. I would just add Cascahuín, neck-and-neck with Fortaleza.
I generally don't prefer one over the other, to me they're equally as good but different and useful in different circumstances and moods. Everything Fortaleza makes is genuinely incredible.

@@Lui_Fern Hi Lui, thanks for your reply. I picked up a couple bottles of Fortaleza Blanco today after watching your videos. They didn't have the Reposado or Anejo.
@@Lui_Fern Tried Fortaleza Blanco last night for the first time and I couldn't believe how good it was. One of the best tasting things I have ever drank in my life. The flavor is more than incredible.

Hey Lui, I’ve never heard you talk about Patron. This leads me to believe that it’s on your trash list too! I finally was able to order some Fortaleza blanco and reposado. I can’t wait to receive it! Love your videos!
Thanks my friend! Happy to hear you're giving them a shot. So patron technically is additive free. It's not terrible. It's definitely serviceable. Just not my favorite.
Thanks to you I got hooked on fortaleza anejo and now I cannot find it anywhere! :*( Thanks for the recommendation though, it is a solid buy but now bottles are going for $100-$300 online since it is sold out everywhere.
Great video! Trying to start a collection for my man cave bar with six bottles total, on the off chance I can find any of these ( I’m on the east coast) which bottles of each brand should you start off with?
Awesome review, El Tesoro Añejo is a great tequila. Great to sip, all kind of notes I get from this tequila. Still trying to get my hands on Fortaleza.
Which tequila brands would you recommend for margaritas? I already have contreau but I'm still deciding on which tequila to purchase. The 1800 blanco is available in a store nearby but I wanna hear peoples thoughts about it first. Thank you!
Honestly for Margs I'd go with something like Arette or Cimarrón. More inexpensive but still excellently made. I'm sure a Marg made with any of the blancos here would be amazing but a little pricey.
I really only enjoy drinking margaritas (with tequila, agave and lime). What do you recommend? Would it be a waste to buy forteleza for my margaritas? Thoughts? Thanks.
He commented that he recommends arette and cimarrón because they’re more inexpensive but still well made. And that any of the blanco’s listed here would be good but yes too expensive.

El Jimador isnt bad per se. I don't like Don Julio. I'd consider switching to a better quality but still accessible tequila such as a Arette. It is not expensive (cheaper than Don Julio) and muh tastier
