Looks like UT of old with fast and furious gameplay. Like it should be. A testament to why mouse and keyboard are a must for real skill FPS gaming. Epic...just...take my money already. I didn't realize how much I missed UT until I bought the UT pack on sale at Steam a couple of weeks ago. Still some of the finest FPS around. Especially UT2K4.

Wish I could play games like Wolfenstein, Doom and Shadow Warrior all the time but instead we get crappy CODS and Battlefields every year. Very sad. This to me is what the FPS genre is about.
I actually miss the style they went for with 2003/2004, where the numbers at the end of the title gave the game this sports-esque feel. I mean, it just makes sense. Story-wise, the deathmatch was designed a public gladiator sport.

Ah, memories. It was fun playing earlier games of this cool franchise. UT2K4 was the game I had the most fun with but then they decided not to support Linux anymore so I am now sticking with Warsow and Xonotic. Gosh time is running really fast. Is this game just Windows or is there some Android support? I am not asking for any support for Linux anymore.

There is lots still coming in this game. New game modes (probably far more exciting ones), vehicles, mods and mutators, and improvements across the board for finding games and competitive play. Do not take videos like this as an ad for a complete game because it isn't, and it's being developed with the community too.

Played UT99 for years on high level, never played UT2kX afterwards. Looks good, from my point of view the more it will look like old UT99, better for me. I would like to esp. see old translocator for CTF (which was played A LOT in original UT). Machine gun looks a bit wierd tho, but as long as i can hide models i dont care that much (im fine with others tho). Plasma ball might be a bit bigger to make shockrifle combos more viable while moving, but its hard to tell just from video. Downloading right now.
This game looks like it's going places, but it has a looooong road ahead. I really hope it releases probably. Especially I hope for a Linux release. =)

Why does hardly anyone play UT3? I often scratch my head about it. :( Sure I can get games on it. But it should have a huge fanbase. It looks incredible and plays fantastic. +AKARazorback I feel the opposite, the gravity seems to respond more like UT99 and doesn't have the crazy Quake movement speed from strafe jumping where players can essentially fly through the map. Plus I'm glad they did away with the double jump.
I thought it will be total re-work of classic 99, with same fast-paced combat and old style weapons (rockets and sniper especially) but this version looks like retarded UT3 no anticheat again? I hope Epic will not throw this game like they did in 2007 (except soundtrack, thanks to Rom di Prisco, Jesper Kyd, Kevin Riepl) Also it will be great to hear again these great guys: Alexander "Siren" Brandon, Michiel "M.C.A." van den Bos, Andrew "Necros" Sega, Dan "Basehead" Gardopée, Tero "Teque" Kostermaa, Kai-Eerik "Nitro" Komppa, Peter "Skaven" Hajba (at least first 4)

This game just looks like every DM game that's ever been made. There isn't a single aspect of it that looks interesting or innovative. Rather than doing something new, they're doing something old, with better graphics. At least the new Doom game is mixing it up by allowing you to play as demons.
this UT is so bad right now that I'm not even playing it, and I'm JesusOfUT3. The movement was cool a few patches ago before they fucked with it, but the new armor (ut99 values) and damage values (to compensate for the higher armor values) just turn the game into a boring spawn rape. Boring. Zzzzzzz!

Man, as a CS player, these arena shooters are always way too fast for me. Installed UT3 the other day and got my fucking ass handed to me online...
