    Worked like a charm! Just finished it. Did the door jambs on the weekend. I should have used a thiner sheet of evergreen. Might be a bit to ridged didnt really bend around the interior tub. Very happy with the hinges though

    Great tips! I'm gonna try it myself very soon. Maybe I'll manage to hide the hinges into the door panel (maybe you do the same in the next step).
    The model in working on is also a 1:18, a little more forgiving maybe.

      Thanks I hope the video was helpful. Let me know how they work. I have been using them and I am fairly happy although they are a little trick to build.

    I could never get the bends right with the wire, so I tried the twisty ties that come with garbage bags. They work pretty good.

    How do you deal with fitting issues due to the new door hinges that have been placed? like the interior panels mostly thanks in advance and very nice tutorial man!

  • @SuperCooper41
    @SuperCooper41  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Interesting question. I use sheet styrene to make the jamb. I am building a 69 charger right now and need to build the jambs. I will see if I can put a video together that shows how I do it.

    I am doing the doors for the first time. I have watched a few tutorials this is the one i want to try. Do you have any tricks for filling in the door jams? Huge space there kind of stumped. 64 gto. Great vid

  • @SuperCooper41

    Well that is a little trial and error. Some of it depends on the kit. The 68 Charger I have done is a little tighter fit than the 70 Mustang I am currently doing. I do a lot of mocking up with the interior tub and panels, taping everything in place and checking the fit. I try to sand a little more than normal to allow for painting. Hope this was helpful. Let me know if you need more info.

    Good stuff, needed a refresher! I been trying to do this 90° bend "pin hinge" so the door opens n pops off like a pro mod would! harder then it sounds..lol, I like the 2 piece way you do it Darren, So do you put a rocker type panel along the bottom of the door to?

      +Arthur Fricchione To be honest I don't remember. I picked it up at a local craft store. I will see if I can find out the gauge and get back to you.
