- Nolan Drives Our 3 K Swapped Cars: Do they suck?

In July we visited our friends at Donut to help them out with a K swap into their Civic hatchback. It was such a good time to hang and work on a project together. Our friend and Donut hot boi, Nolan Sykes, wanted to do some more Honda things so he came to our garage to work on a Honda of his own. That video is coming soon. While we were waiting for some parts to arrive Aaron had Nolan try out some of our project cars. We get Nolan's hot takes on our K24 swapped GE Fit, HPD built K24 swapped Civic EK and K23/K20 turbo hybrid swapped Civic EG. Will our projects impress someone that has driven many more expensive sports cars?

@@sheldonlamey7010Both. 1) They're reliable. 2) Typical drivers don't care or notice the temp gauge anyway. 3) The ECU will shut down the engine if needed.
@@althejazzman Thanks I like the fact that the little engines in the FIT are have a Timing chain that's different from the older Honda models and possibly better.

I have a 2015 Fit and I've been wanting to K24 swap it since day 1. This video just makes me want to do it more. Honda really should have made the Fit Si with a K series.
They wouldn't sell enough of them to warrant producing it me thinks.

i really wanna do the k23/k20 build for my 8th gen civic, i think its the perfect sleeper, i love the k23 build, no one ever uses that head on anything and i think its cool to see someone actually doing it

What mods did you guys do to the head to fit the a3 block?
Water lines for the turbo cooling. I used an RSX water pump an housing for the water source.

Does a 1999 civic SI em1 subframe work for a k swap? or should I find a Integra/EG subframe?
Yes, it does. But the EG subframe places it in a better position.

So in the uk the Honda fit is called the jazz and we got a jazz si and it has a 1.4 hahah I does have a nice body kit

Good video! Just gonna get it out there, my FK8 in the rainy NW has just as much bounce on the front wheels with new tires. When it’s wet here (now) it’s a constant traction battle, until you encounter corners. Then it’s no competition.
I was out driving my K24A2 CRX for the past week. It's soooo much fun!! 3.5 year project. Big thanks to Brian and all of Vtec Academy for the help along the way.
Imagine selling the fit back to the dealer and the guy appraising the car is like wtf did they really make this in a k24? hahah

Honda's have a temp gauge. Blue light is too cold. Red light is too hot. Everything in-between, you're *good. (*According to Honda)
I wouldn’t call that a gauge, since those tend to be graduated.

It really pays off to fine tune these engines and chassis, it's very time consuming but it's definitely worth it. My buddy's turbo Civic doesn't come on as violently but it puts down all the power it makes even with an open dif.
Cars setup like that are the most fun
@@skeylnge For sure. It allows for better throttle modulation, but can still rip the tires off if you really want to.
