It’s great to see you guys collab with MCM. It was sure a surprise when they started the video with you coming into frame. You’ve enlighten them with VTEC madness
They’re such great dudes to hang and work on a project with. We’ve been watching them for so long and knew they would love some K series power. The jet lag and the distance were totally worth it.
Hell yeah guys, just stopping by after watching the MCM video. Great showcase of your products! Now it makes sense why you were in the MCM shirts in the last live stream :) Nice work and very smart advertising. I'm sure there will be plenty of K swaps incoming now!
advertising with sellouts like mighty cash mods is not a wise choice. they have destroyed the car modification scene over the last 8-10 years in Australia and the rest of the world
@vtecacademy hey guys. At the end of the video you mentioned drag cartel limited 45 degree vtc gear. Is that a must? Or would a stock 50 degree gear work when you limit it to 45 degree withthin hondata tune? Also would the skunk2 0.5L plenum be beneficial in this set up? Thanks in advance.
hey Brian, great job on the mcm video (from another smalltime aussie honda youtuber) I have your mounts in my kswap I got them from Hon-D-Boy aka A.D, I'm also a suns supporter hahaha keep up the good work mate

Great collab and good to see the Honda community coming together. I've been looking everywhere for a parts list for this build, its in the description for anyone looking - thanks for the share 👍
This is awesome, you legends collaborate with mcm. I was very happy seeing Brian. K swap the world.i have a jdm dc5 k20a type r in my ek hatch. Most fun car I've owned
Best video out on k-swaps! Glad on bought Haport ekk2 mounts for my car so I could support you guys. If you're gonna step up to k-series, this is a must watch.

Proud honda community moment seeing you guys on mcm, i noticed blair was calling you a honda wizard fairly quickly 😂 did he ask you to dust off the old scrolls 📜. The speed science harness is what i used btw made in nz, its length suits rwd config aswell lhd rhd
@VTECAcademy yeah man i know the guy behind putting it together, adam plews (c30 swapped dc2r ) oem connectors etc. Brian has met Adam before and speed science is nz dealer for hasport. Adam's since sold speed science but the quality etc still remains
With right hand drive, you can use any of the power steering racks from EG or DC2. On left-hand drive cars it needs to be from the DC2 or Del Sol VTEC models. Otherwise the manual EG rack and subframe work.
@@VTECAcademy Love ure content i always look forwrd to see ure vids when i get home from work ...im from south africa .. I've got a LHD EK with a Civic EG power steering with no issues. Maybe some minor massaging on the gearbox case but nothing that we've felt worried about.
No, that car is too big. That much weight and big of tire would be rough on the Kay series transmission. Unless you’re talking about the type R K20C. I’m thinking about that one.
W video from MCM and you guys... I just got my axles and EKK5 mounts. I am really looking hard at the Haltech and DBW. I have a DBW pedal I need to build a bracket to mount and a harness to build to connect it (easiest way I can have cruise control). I was debating about the radiator, if I could get away with a half size, because I need A/C (high heat+high humidity in Texas) but I guess I'm going to need to figure out a way to mount my condenser or buy a front-of-the-radiator kit.... K24A2 w/Acura ILX transmission (tall gear ratios) by the way. Thanks guys!
Did you end up sticking with the Accord ECU or switch to the 1st gen TSX ECU in order to fix the A/C issue? Sorry, was a little confused with how the video jumped around. Thanks in advance!
I have a question in regards to a k20z3 into an ek. The info out there is scattered at best. Or maybe I'm not looking in the correct places. I found a k20z3 with a transmission, ECU and engine harness. I'm wondering what I need to make that particular setup work in my 96 ek? I'm getting an eg subframe, so I'll use ekk2 mounts. But that's about as far as I've gotten. What ECU can I use? What harness or harnesses? And do I have to swap out the throttle body? I'm sorry to ask so many questions, but I don't want to pick this setup, up and find out it's not possible without a ton of cash to make it happen. Thanks
Yea my swaps only have aftermarket parts I can't make myself . That would be the mounts and the axels etc. everything else from comfort cooling to temporary emissions to pass is DIY . Most of the parts aftermarket is just nuts splurging on crap like shifter plates etc. Same for clutch lines I used parts from the supply house for refrigeration rated . Look for parts that's practical in costs and quality
Can you guys please answer a question for me? I have a FA5 and it has an alpha header on it and it rubs the firewall. It has innovative mounts in it (75A). I've already shaved the front mounts at the feet and added spacers behind the rear mount to tilt the engine forward to gain a little clearance. I've only really heard of this problem with k24 swapped FA5s. it only rubs ever so slightly on deceleration. Do you guys suggest drilling new holes in the brackets to lower the motor or get someone to weld a piece on the header to pull a little tension on it away from the firewall or what? please help!
The K24 is taller and that causes the header to be closer to the firewall. If you put a few washers behind the bracket on the oil pan bracket to tilt the engine a little rearward that will gain clearance. Make sure your bolts are longer if you do the spacing. If you use a 5mm (.20") thick washer, then use 5mm longer bolt. You don't want those pulling out due to lack of thread engagement.
Will the stock EK fan relay power both hybrid racing electric fans like stock? Based on amperage on start-up, it seems like each fan would need an independent relay
I'm a little late to this video but i have a 97 civic ex coupe i want to swap a complete EP3 engine and tranny into. Would any integra(i think 94-01) subframe work in it for the EKK2 mounts?
Hey guys correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression the flywheel bolts were different from auto to manual and were not interchangable? I noticed you reused them in their video?
New sub. I own a 1994 Integra GSR which currently has 91,200 kilometers (Canadian car). I have kept it stock except a few years ago, I installed a Yonaka catback exhaust. I do not like it because it drones constantly. What after market replacement would you recommend to bring the exhaust back closer to stock?
Great episode! I noticed that you mentioned the type s oil pump. I have a question as I have heard mixed feelings. It's there more vibration when using the type s pump vs the k24 pump.

Hi Brian, was the power steering pump the stock pump that came from the Accord Euro? It seems Hybrid racing don't have a listing for a K24a3.
