Closer the Distance is a deeply moving, slice-of-life sim that tells a story about the connections between family and friends in the face of tragedy. Following a fatal car accident, players take on the role of Angela, a young girl from the town of Yesterby, who finds herself watching over her loved ones as they navigate the grieving process. Connys sister saying "I'm probably just hanging out with zack at the beach" when she's dead + her not knowing what she talked about with Bodhi, makes me think it's not really her, just Connys way of dealing with the situation
I really hope its not, hate such kinds of reveals/subvesrions. Firewatch's ending still makes me upset, and not in a good way.

A Wolpertinger is a creature from German folklore. It's basically a combination of different animals, most often (afaik) depicted as a rabbit with antlers, but there are some variations depending on who you ask. Supposedly it came into being when a rabbit and a deer fell in love. I will leave the logistics of producing that offspring to everyone's imagination.

Haven't fnished the video yet, but am already so prepared for the part 2 you just uploaded. This is such a amazing and interesting way to depict grief. I find the moodlets that you must keep in mind while playing to be so thoughtful and it makes a lot of sense. I am so excited for this games story, and I'm so happy I found you to watch play it!

I love that the mom calls Conny "my little loon", because I've only ever heard that phrase in Sufjan Stevens' Fourth of July, which is... a very fitting song for this game.

Wow! Holding tears while watching a Welonz's video wasn't in my plans for today but here we are. I saw the notification that the makers of Orwell are releasing a new game on Steam and even added it to my wishlist, but I didn't expect it to be this intense from the first minutes! And I expected even less for it to suddenly turn from a simple narrative point-and-click game into a systems-heavy life sim with NPCs having various stats and independent routines even when you're not following them! Imagine the emotional depth of any Life is Strange game with a mechanical complexity that none of the Life is Strange game could even dream about! I am positively blown away. Unless the game drops the ball hard down the line, this may become one of my favourites games ever! Anyway, off to play the game myself and see you in (hopefully) the full playthrough.
So far it's been really interesting, I wonder how they'll keep the plot moving forward though? Will it be a more grounded story about dealing with loss or will it have some supernatural elements to it? I wonder if there'll be some detective stuff going on too (maybe the accident wasn't an accident after all), though it doesn't seem so, specially when you're able to see what everyone is doing in the village at any time.

I really like the way they tell the story here, but man, this is the kinda game that has stuff going on in real time, so scenes could be missed which stresses me out lmao, although, now that I think about it, stuff going on in real time are usually timeloop games hmmm,
