Didn't watch fully yet but played the demo and really loved it! I wish the game was already finished and I could keep playing it tbh :D The way they intertwined sims management with a moving story and small community relationships is super well done. There's a lot of conversations and happenings that you can miss or witness, I have no clue how they managed to put that much in it, but it's quite impressive. A couple tips if anyone plays the demo or for a future playthrough: I really recommend using the mouse, there are tooltips on icons, you can easily click on everything, move around and switch between people & go there by double click on a portrait I think you missed it but you can click on the needs the same way you did for the wishes, and it zooms out the map and shows what's available, like for Conny her routine was either sewing machine, write in her journal or tv, her harmony was talking to certain people etc it helps understand the mechanics more easily From my experience if you're following a convo when a ! "event" pops up, you can let it finish, the game is pretty generous and will pause once the convo is done to let you go to the ! which will only starts then, that's nice :) Also there seems to be a lot of conversations not marked important that can happen, you'll just notice if you're around or on the right person at that moment, not a tip but again that's really impressive and it kind of helps understand each person better! Sorry for the long comment / tips lol and can't wait for the full game :)
For such a cozy looking game... Geez, I was starting to feel a little secondhand anxiety. I liked this quite a bit though. There's lots of neat little details; like the sound of the rain on the greenhouse when Galya and Leigh were talking inside of it.
When you say that the mother would know better when talking about the statue, I think you're ignoring that the mother is doing it with her religion in mind, mostly for her own sake. I doubt Angela would've wanted an angel to represent her, seeing how polar opposite both of them were in most of their interactions. That being said nobody else seemed to have strong opinions on what it should've been, idk if you could've asked more people maybe? So it's up to us to decide whether the statue should be something for the living that care or for the dead person. Anyways, really cool game, I'm adding it to my wishlist.
Yes for sure! Though I feel like even if you asked other people those are still just other people's opinions of Angela, and Angela herself didn't particularly protest against it even though she can communicate with us (maybe b/c Conny isn't directly seeing this happen) Part of the reasoning was also because I didn't have to worry about Angela's "meters" lol + I didn't want to stress out her mom more, and it also felt ridiculous that Angela's mom ordered the sculpture, Zek would ask for her opinion and then be like "nah I'll just do my own thing"
Yeah, if I get the full game for myself, I will probably skip *asking* the mom about the sculpture, since Zek going for his *artistic vision* without having specific orders verbalized at him feels less shitty than asking somebody (who, do note, thinks it is *your job* to figure this thing out until directly asked) and then deliberately going against their wish. I suspect the game will treat it the same as asking then ignoring it anyway, but at least I will feel less jerky.
Is it me or does that Melville guy sound just like Geralt of Rivia? (Sorry if someone's already mentioned this - I've been watching it in the background.)
I have absolutely no idea why a strongly religious authoritative person who has strong opinions about what sort of activities are beneath adults would be prejudiced against a probably bisexual divorcee/widow netflix gamer chick that monopolized her best friend's time platonically and romantically.

I know it's a depressing and sad game, but it's also quite funny to see Welonz stressing about everybody and desperately trying to feed Conny. 😅
not the conny feeding lMA0
Sheep poop
I find it quite interesting and soothing, would not mind watching this.

Just in time, watching while I work.
37:42 Is this a foreshadowing?

Nice! I just finished part one. 😃
I saw another game kind of similar to this on steam called SunnySide.
