God, what a beautiful ship. Titanic was the epitome of elegance and beauty in ships. The design of this ship was just flawless. Each and every ship before and after Titanic had some sort of imperfection in their design, they were either too long, too tall, to bulky, to crammed, had weird aft decks etc. but Titanic's design simply was gorgeous, with no imperfections.
Agreed, her imperfections where within the design, the height of watertight bulkheads is the main one. Still they raised Brittanics and shes in the same world (different neighborhood) from her sister.
I personally think the Mauretania is prettier (unpopular opinion, I know). There's something about the curved bridge, the massive intakes. It has the aggression of a sports car to it. Titanic is beautiful as well, but there's just something about the big Cunarders.
@@Local-Of-The-Mitten-State Titanic had a fire in a coal chute that started before the voyage began. @AgentGodzillaRP1 Lol. That engine sound was barely noticeable on higher decks. It got more prominent when you descended deeper into the vessel's hull below D deck and below and around Titanic's fourth funnel where the main reciprocating engine room was located. Consequently passengers of those 3rd class cabins that were closest to the engine room were actually one of the first to be alerted that something had happened on that fateful night when engines suddenly after four days of continuous pounding went silent...

This is wonderful! A nice touch would be to have her lights gradually come on all over the ship and then have her all lit up and sailing away into the night…
In an alternate universe where Titanic actually made it to New York with a VERY successful crossing. E.J Smith retires with full honors, Bruce Ismay's reputation isn't shattered, Thomas Andrews is beyond the moon with how everything worked so smoothly, and the crew watching with smiles and hopes for many of the passengers departing the ship for better lives. 2 Olympic class liners (with a third being built) competing with Cunard's Lusitania and Mauritania as the top ships of the Atlantic Ocean.

Truly I guess the Titanic's story will never die; there's always new awesome stuff popping up such as this but anyway here's why I think the Titanic's story will never die: (1) she was the largest movable man-made object of her day, (2) she excelled in luxury appointments, (3) it was her maiden voyage (of all voyages), (4) there were many celebrities of the day on board, (5) there was already a lot of talk about all her features before she was ever launched (including her "unsinkability"), and (6) the Titanic was the first ship in living memory to be sunk by an iceberg. Of course, let's not forget those who died. 1,500 souls is 1,500 souls.
What a great animation. I am also impressed by the attention to detail like the slight list to port and also the "This vessel has triple screws" notice boards which are now shown with white letters on a black background instead of a red background - recent research strongly suggests that the signs did have a black background. Excellent work, guys.
It's a red background in the video. You can see it if you zoom in at 40:06 .I've never heard anyone say it's black and if I were trying to warn people that's the last color I would use. Red would be more appropriate.
That was incredible. To whomever thought of this thank you. Just watching the ship sail. Listen to the engines and see the stacks. People enjoying themselves.
Sort of. Steerage passengers with stern accommodations would have heard the engines more distinctly. First and second class passengers heard more of a low humming and slight vibration. It was quite soothing according to some passengers and quite noticeable when it abruptly stopped. The engines could not be heard topside.

@@josephblomeister3040 Because of the fire in one of the coal bunkers on the starboard side. They had to shift a lot of coal to the port side in order to be able to reach the fire and extinguish it. After that the coal remained on the port side, causing Titanic to have a slight list to port.
