You dont get that feeling of "wait where'd the power go.. oh there it comes again" Every time you hit that range. Just Buttery smooth acceleration.
The sound difference alone tells the tale. That's just amazing. It would be too cool to do the dynamic comparison between a re-flashed bike and something like a GP bike, a pro dragbike and whatever else you could get your hands on. You guys rock!
Its not even just about power I tune a lot of Honda K series engines and the smoothness and drivability is improved greatly just by some edits to the ignition tables. I've never tuned a bike but I'd imagine you'd notice the difference even more.
@@UltimaRSfan yea you can check out the video of the dyno pull on youtube and look it looks like they extend the rear swing arm as well because the bikes just want to wheelie especially the ones pre 2020 without lift control. I own a 2019 mt09 and the thing is a beast so i couldnt imagine it will over 200hp
Sounded better without all that popping and farting when letting off the throttle in my opinion, that just sounds like an overly rich & poor running condition to my ears. The unburned fuel from the injectors squirting when off throttle is igniting in the exhaust and this will create an irregular flow turbulence to a very small degree which doesn't help the evacuation of exhaust gases. Also that hard deceleration off throttle you describe(engine braking) can be a very useful tool in the hands of an experienced rider maybe not so much for commuting but this is an R1 afterall. Anyways, the numbers don't lie and those are some nice gains all around.
Bye bye 5 year warranty ? While changing exhaust right? Love the content , would love to see Ducati and Aprilia ❤❤ Ps whats up with the slack on the chain? 😮

I remember riding the standard r1 in 2018 or so. It. Had a seriously choppy throttle, very uncomfortable on the wrists. Sounded nice but just no. Wonder if it's changed at all or if the r1m is any diff.
All sounds good except the decel fuel cut, I would for sure be leaving that on. I have no idea why so many people love all the random backfiring on decel, sounds horrible to me.
That's some great mid-range improvement. Beautiful bike that didn't need the tacky stickers. Hopefully the dude knows how to get it leaned over and doesn't just ride it like a wheelie mob monkey.
It's his bike he can ride it any which way he chooses. Drag racing, rolling racing, circuit racing or just using it for commuting. Not everybody has to ride their bike the way you want them to.
@mooremafia Hey Chris got a question already have ecu flashed on my 2022 r1 threw bauce racing and was wondering can you do the pops and bangs tune on mine without a regular flash or do I need to redo it all for you to do it
Would this be good for a track bike because it allows for direct one to one throttle or is it better to have those restrictions to manage power to the ground?
good morning brother.. i have a 1199 s with a vandemon full exhaust.. i installed the termignoni t800+, and it says that will give me 16 more hp.. who true do you think that is???… if is true that will put me at 185 hp… your thoughts???
You know what pops and bangs was from traditionally? Badly tuned carbureted engines that dumped raw fuel into a hot exhaust when the throttle was closed. Somehow that became cool? It's needless racket that sounds like bad tuning to someone who understands engines and the history of engines.
Because I am considering getting my r1 flashed, can anyone confirm that I do not need to disconnect the battery when removing the ECU? I've been told I need to disconnect the battery to avoid frying the ECU. Thanks in advance
That thing sounds f'n brutal. Amazing how much power you unlocked by opening the ecm up.

That's nearly a 20% power bump in the lower RPM range, that's a difference the owner will definitely notice, very cool.
Yamaha did the best thing for this bike with the 270-degree crank. The thing sounds mean as hell.
270 deg? it's 90 degrees to each cylinder, hence the name crossplane, where'd you get 270 degree crankshaft?
So far that's the best sounding R1 I have heard.
I disagree.....FastlaneD and Chris Moore have the best sounding R1's i have heard
@@waylon7371 That's Awesome! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks to people like you Chris we can actually use our bikes full potential. Carry on the good work, love your videos,,from Andre, London.
Most can't come close to using the R1's full potential - except for twisting the throttle open.
no way nobody can use a full hp of a liter bike.dreams😂
That jordan sticker gotta go bro
Agree. But it's not his bike 😂
It gives it more hop!

You guys are the best in the game! Keep up the great work! If I’m ever back on the east coast I’ll stop in with my R1. Kudos Moore Mafia 🔥🔥🔥
THANK YOU!!!
That sound makes me wanna get an R1 😍
Gotta love Yamaha. God that sounds amazing.
Damn chain looks like it's slapping the ground jebus
the owner put a jordan sticker on the fairing, bike maintenance is likely a foreign concept.
I have the woolich ecu flash also. Did really great. I went ahead and dyno tuned it also. Completely different bike!
I think the best way to go and to learn is get the flash but also get a PC 5 or 6 and the auto mapper and fuel tune it urself , u learn alot
Chris, it seems like ever since I have been watching your channel, I have noticed that R1's seem to be the most restricted 1000's.
On the throttle map, why does the factory ECU flash throttle off slightly at 9000-9500 rpm from 100% at 8500 rpm, then back to 100% at 10000 rpm?
Way cool. I just sent you my 2023 R1 ECU Totally appreciate it
Crazy seeing these numbers then watching extreme creations make a turbo kit for the mt09 thats pulling 207hp
Seriously!! That's awesome. Didn't realize the mt09 was capable of that.

Agreed! Pretty sound numbers, but pops and bangs is just retarded IMO..
I completely agree I had a tl1000s that popped every time I let off the throttle it drove me crazy I don't understand why people like that sound
Wow, so the guy wanted all the pops and bangs. Ok, to each his own.
I wonder if that was the customers in the window. They seem to love it so far.

5 year warranty? All bikes that I have seen come with 1 year manufacturer limited warranty
Suzuki has 7 years on some one, u might never been and bought a new bike?
Holy Jesus that bike looks mean! I’ve never ridden a motorcycle, but now I have too!
With different exhaust that bike will gain more HP

That midpipe is real close to the rearset.
So the factory is intentionally gimping the power to comply with Euro 5 regs?
Obvious owners in that window.
Lovin the power.

Loud is one thing, but, why all the popping and banging, rediculous. Rather have max power with a sensible sound.

Slackest chain in the history of R1's being chain driven.
I wonder if these engines go self destruct like my low mile used gently 2009 cross plane R1 did?
I sure hope not. Because that’s exactly what’s currently going on with my 9k mile 2012.

How does it compare to rsv4?
What do you use to clean the fuel tank

Thats not an R1M - no Ohlin suspension and the M is carbon fiber. Also the M is higher hp out of the box. Thats a base model. Blue
What octane fuel?
Do you do tuning on the R7
why do r1 make less power than zx10 or bmw?

What kind of oil you run Chris in your daily?
Is each sticker 5hp, or did you get the 10hp stickers?
What can you do with 2005 cbr600 can u burpel tune that also?
Would it be worth ECU flash a 2015 BMW S1000RR ?
that thing does sound good
I had s1000rr but love the R1 and sound but in power comparison the R1 have the least hp
Did anyone see the amount of slop in the chain, or just me
