One thing I'd like to know though, if you don't mind, does the video loop, overwriting older ones, or does the memory card get full and needs deleting?
I have a dash cam that I'm replacing, which says it loops, but doesn't, which is one of the reasons I'm replacing it.

Excellent. Can’t wait for video 5. No joy on my Audi dashcam front/rear. Still waiting on them sourcing the camera cradles which they did get from Ukraine. So hopefully I can go to them and get a refund £649 then buy one of these. Most important feature im looking for is park mode recording.

Can you buy this without any subscription and if so does the none subscription option just give you a camera that you can retrieve footage yourself via your mobile and how long does it retain the footage for? I am debating whether to get it but don't want to if I have to subscribe to a monthly subscription. I assume the monthly subscription just unlocks additional features? Thanks for your time.
I was not aware there was a subscription for this. Seems a bit strange, but if it helps it worked fine for me without any subscription
Question, When does the dashcam start and stop recording? How do you know when the memory card is full? Thanks for the review.
Starts and stops recording based on ignition or power to your 12v socket.
The default behaviour of this and most other dash cams is to override footage once the memory card is full so it wouldn't notify you as such.
Any crash footage etc should be stored with protection to prevent override and this is triggered by the g-sensor detecting severe movement like a crash.
Also do you have to pay for software updates after a certain period of time or are they free for life?
I believe they are free, I've never done an update on the halo pro I have
Great video but my Halo does not show a live screen on my phone, strangely it does record and play back but I cannot get the live screen. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks, that does sound really bizarre. Have you tried connect it to another phone to rule out something odd with the app installation?
Failing that there is a reset button on the camera which may be worth a try.
Any ideas on when I download footage and the n play it back, its in fast motion. How do you change it to play normal time.
Ah I regret buying this! lol. I see you use a Samsung phone (or android). As I've found out and looking at the replies on the App Store you can't download footage onto an Apple phone. Also plugging it into an Apple computer doesn't work. I didn't realise it was permanent, I thought it must be able to detach from the mounting foot. I have managed to configure it being removable with sticky magnets, one of the windscreen and one of the camera.
On the Pro, can you take the speed option off?

No unfortunately not, but it does have spare sticky pads in case you needed to mount it in a second car
No, it's a permanent sticky mount. If you want to remove it you need to use heat to peel the adhesive sticker away. Its permanently on show in your windscreen
What do you press (or is it voice activated?) when you want to save a clip to not be recorded over? Like if there’s an incident and you don’t want to scroll through hours of footage to find it?
It should have automatically done this when it senses shock. But as you will know the day and rough time the incident happened navigating to it through the app is effortless if using the timeline swipe.
@@CRD90 I mean saving a clip when you see something? Some it’s a button,others it’s voice activated. I sometimes want to save clips when I see bad driving or funny things and instead I have to trawl through loads of clips. Most dashcams,even the cheaper ones come with the ability to save a clip as it happens without it being just a collision?
