Personal opinion: Also, instead of been driven by the fear of loosing in order to not procrastinate, one could use the excitement from a clear vision of goals/passion in order to focus and find ways to do things smarter. Probably, once the vision is there, and steps are defined/known, sense of urgency comes more naturally (or make more sense). PS, sometime the same excitement (similar to nervousness) doesn’t allow a person to focus at the moment, and then recognizing the feeling(s) and controlling emotions become necessary.
