    Cool to see your your location, lighting, arrangement and enthousiasm is growing again with every video! Only RC channel i watch everything of, always a pleasure to watch and i learn a lot.
    20k here you come!
    Btw, i run my first nitro on 16% to be super cautious, but i'm thinking of running my 2nd nitro (Neo3.0) on 20-25%. Is it at all possible to switch from 16 to 25% with some tuning so i can run 1 type of gas? Thanks in advance!

    • @adamlitho6448
      @adamlitho6448 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i have a hsp but i went 20 nitro 14 oil to 25% and 9% oil. did richen low end as it was not getting enough oil but. other than that it was just general tuning its .18 (assuming u have a 1/10 small block nitro) but if u are gonna run the same fuel in a 1/10 and 1/8 dont go above 25%. bigger 1/8 scales can hold up to 30% or more but the small block wont.

    • @thefightingplumber
      @thefightingplumber 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@adamlitho6448 Thanks man. I run the 16% on my .15 traxxas engine but i think i'm ready for a higher end feul and engine. (Both 1/10)
      In the end when i have a 2nd one i won't be scared to push the .15 engine anymore so we will see 😄

      @@thefightingplumber just watch the oil content. traxxas fuel is crap because it has so much oil. go with a good brand where you live. i run vp fuels but do some research about the fuel. 9% is quite low but i run on concrete roads or very low cut compacted grass at my local soccer pitch which never really strains my engines. on the other side of this. 12% is good for general use but if its very tough thick grass or bigger 1/8 engine 14% oil is used. bigger engines need more oil. traxxas uses anywhere from 18 to 20% oil in a .15 size engine which is just way to much. all you need is 12%-14% oil as you are trying to stick to one fuel is good. if i was you i would grab 25% 12%oil fuel from a good brand which preferably is well known.

      @@adamlitho6448 I will screenshot this advise 😁👌
      I run 16% "Team Corally" atm for mostly onroad (because i wanna be carefull). I plan on running 25% Merlin with my Neo on and offroad, and later using the same on the .15 engine for pacticallity.

    Can the Force based engines be converted for use on a starter box? As in an non pullstart back plate?

    • @TheRCBiker
      @TheRCBiker  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think you can get a backplate for it, but you could use a starter box and just leave the pull start or at least pull starter housing in place

    • @daveshank1921
      @daveshank1921 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is correct. Although you might get lucky and find a bunp start backplate for a .21 Force engine that might fit. Ebay for the win lol.

    TheRCBiker: Hi I've got I small question for you, I've just bought a new NB16T as I'm just getting into my nitro rcs I've done the run in procedure and it's was working perfectly but yesterday my clutch stopped disengaging the gear, it won't just idle for me anymore just wants to drive without throttle, I'm not sure what it could be as I'm new to them, have a basic understanding but just wondering if you would have any ideas what it could be? Any pointers would be much appreciated.

    • @andrewe7314
      @andrewe7314 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      rory linton I have an HSP Meteor (a similar 1/16 scale nitro car) and had the same problem. I spent ages trying to reduce the idle speed and still the clutch wouldn’t disengage. Eventually I took the engine out and removed the pinion/clutch bell and found the spring around the clutch had broken. As a result the clutch shoes would have nothing preventing them being thrown outwards and engaging drive. I fitted a new clutch and it’s now fine again. Might be worth checking if you’re confident the engine isn’t idling too fast.

    Im not trying to be that guy but shouldnt the gear ratio be based on the power and rpm range of the engine n not what the manual says. Unless its the engine that came with it. What are your thoughts on this?

    • @TheRCBiker
      @TheRCBiker  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is the engine that came with it, the Absima F349 is a rebranded Force 21 engine. The Virus used to come with the ARNE 21 engine, which was also a rebranded force engine :)
