- Welcome to my walk through central Stockholm! Join me as I explore some of the city's iconic landmarks:
Berzelii Park (Berzelii Park) - This park is named after the chemist Jöns Jacob Berzelius and is known for its beautiful flower arrangements and sculptures, including the famous statue of Carl Michael Bellman.
Nybroplan (New Bridge Square) - Known for its historic Nybro district, which was once home to Stockholm's elite. Today, it is a lively part of the city with cafes, shops, and restaurants.
Nybrokajen (Newbridge Quay) - This quay is a popular spot for boating and boat tours in Stockholm, offering fantastic views of the Old Town and the Royal Palace.
Hovslagargatan (Farrier Street) - The name comes from the fact that it was once a place for farriers.
Södra Blasieholmshamnen (Southern Blasieholm Harbor) - This harbor is a center for boating activities and a popular place to walk and enjoy views of Stockholm.
National Museum (National Museum of Fine Arts) - Home to an impressive collection of Swedish art and design from the Middle Ages to today, including works by Rembrandt, Rubens, and Renoir.
Skeppsholmsbron (Ship Islet Bridge) - The bridge offers a fantastic view of the Stockholm Palace and the Old Town and is a popular spot for walking and cycling.
Skeppsholmen (Ship Island) - This island is known for its museums, including the Moderna Museet and the Architecture Museum, as well as its green spaces, perfect for a relaxing picnic.
Västra Brobänken (Western Bridge Quay) - This quay is a popular destination for both tourists and locals, offering beautiful views of the water and surrounding areas.
Södra Brobänken (Southern Bridge Quay) - Here, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the water and the surrounding buildings while walking along the quay.
Kastellholmsbron (Citadel Islet Bridge) - The bridge leads to Kastellholmen, known for its historic fortress ruins and picturesque views of Stockholm.
Kastellholmen (Citadel Islet) - On this small island, visitors can discover the remains of an old fortress and enjoy panoramic views of the city and its waters.
Kastellholmskajen (Citadel Islet Quay) - The quay on Kastellholmen is a place where visitors can enjoy the maritime life and relaxed atmosphere.
Örlogsvägen (Navy Road) - This road has a rich history linked to Stockholm's navy and is now a popular walking path along the water.
Kastellholmens utsiktsplats (Citadel Islet Viewpoint) - Here, visitors can enjoy a spectacular view of Stockholm's skyline and archipelago from a high point on Kastellholmen.
Viking Line-båten (The Viking Line Ferry) - Viking Line offers ferry tours that take visitors through the beautiful Stockholm archipelago to various destinations in the Baltic Sea.
Östra Brobänken (Eastern Bridge Quay) - This quay offers views of the city's eastern parts and is known for its lively atmosphere.
Norra Brobänken (Northern Bridge Quay) - Located on the northern side of Stockholm, this quay is known for its picturesque views and relaxing environment.

stockholm is stunning in the water areas. but the inner city has lost most of its charm

@@walkingstockholm hmm then you don’t know what charm is. Walk in norrmalm, the inner city. Pretty ugly everywhere, especially if you know what stunning buildings used to be there
Well then, maybe you don’t know what ‘ugly’ truly means. I don’t think there’s a city on Earth where everything is absolutely perfect. Perhaps I just love Stockholm too much to overlook its imperfections, which every city has.
