Fonseca is the real deal, his potential is enormous. Watched him at the challenger tour this year and last year, and the ball striking is huge for a 17 year old, in fact even for an adult player it’s just amazing. Backhand is wonderfully clean and solid, forehand is huge but not as solid as the backhand, but still his main weapon. And players normally learn to hit the ball bigger with age, just look at Sinner or Alcaraz and how their ball striking improved. Serve needs some work, but is huge already too (220+) and his defending and athleticism will improve with age too, the movement is still a little stiff but will only get better too naturally. Kids got game and incredible fundamentals and most of his weaknesses are easy to work on and will improve naturally as he grows older and more experienced. Can still get a little wild especially with the forehand, but a really bright future ahead and an exciting game style too. Despite the US open juniors win last year, I reckon clay is and probably will be his best surface in his career. Will have to hope he won’t have a late growth spurt, as his height is pretty much perfect for a great career atm and boys his age sometimes tend to grow late
In the modern game you can be up to 6'4 (or even 6'6 if you consider Medvedev) in height and still be one of the best players in the world, so a growth spurt won't hurt him.
His serve is just to ridiculous effective wooow , RogerF look alike. Very mature GAME for his age, seems he has learned and knows how to play the game very well. Im kind of liking him already, one more fan here!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
