I worked at Mars for 10 years (in Starburst and then Skittles), but the Snickers line was there too and I am familiar with how they make them. The chocolate room is secretive and you can't go in unless you work in it. But it's all made there on site. Big giant bags of fresh peanuts they roast there, ultra fine salt, you can see the huge rollers that join the nougat and caramel/peanut layer together. This slab goes down the line to be slit into long ribbons, then cut to size (fun, regular, king) by an ultrasonic guillotine. Then off to the enrober (a vibrating belt that coats them with chocolate and the swirl on top). They go through a cooling tunnel to firm up, then off to wrapping. It's really cool. She did a great job recreating a Snickers.

I've read somewhere that you could use rice cooker as an alternative
@@cici_julja Really?! :O I gotta look that up!!!
The video production team for this series is amazingly talented. The series has synergy, is entertaining without being overly dramatic, and keeps you on your toes just enough. I love it.
Claire is the Hermione Granger of the test kitchen.

Claire a tip for you since you have the equipment ready: use a sous vide machine to temper the chocolate. You can control the temperature better and set the crystalline structure of the chocolate better to get the snap you want.

@Bloody Uterus , I'm guessing you either haven't watched her videos or
are trolling. If you were actually serious then all you need to do is
watch some of her videos and you will see that these recreations tend to
take at least a couple of days.
