that moment when you realize Tomo-zo wearing a teddy bear on her shoulder, high heels, dancing around, smiling and all, can play like we will never play in our lives

This was the 14th song of a 23 song setlist, and earlier in the day they played a 20 song set in the same hall, dressed in all black as Doll$Boxx. They rented the hall for the whole day and recorded both concerts for DVD.

She started professional career by attending an arts high school in Tokyo from another prefecture to become a professional guitarist and passed and audition at the age of 17.

Glad you went ahead and checked it out. I see this as a showcase for TOMOZO’s chops and versatility. This was recorded three years before the CD with I wish I and Mindset. OREO LENONA is indeed dressed as a cheeseburger.
The Japanese fashion sense is far beyond jeans, T-shirt, and hoodie. You should check out a few VISUAL KEI bands; they’re very popular with the ladies. I think the band’s extravagant attire is a sign of respect for their audience, in doing everything they can to PUT ON A SHOW. KISS had the same attitude. Worked out pretty good for them.
Watch the video for a much older song, SEKIRA LIAR (Red Naked Liar).
Then watch TAKE MY CHANCE by DOLL$BOX.

PRS are relatively successful in Japan, maybe 5th in popularity behind the traditional Fender & Gibson followed by the major homegrown brands ESP & Ibanez, whereas in the US they're a more comfortable 3rd. Tomo-zo is playing a Custom 24 with the regular PRS 25" scale, same as Danelectro, so halfway between Fender & Gibson. Their baritone models are usually hardtail only IIRC.

起死回生Forever might be a song by them that you would want to check out.

A really cool Gacharic Spin live performance to check out is Juicy Beats, from shortly after Angie joined. It's a heavier, rearranged version of one of their early songs when Armyy was vocalist. Worth checking out the MV of that one (th-cam.com/video/Ng0aYc2XSCg/w-d-xo.html) -- very much a Eurotechno vibe to it -- to contrast with the live/Angie version (th-cam.com/video/pObpM-MNpVk/w-d-xo.html).

Her name is Tomo Zo and is one of the top guitarists in Japan. My question is, Can play as well Tomo? As to the costumes, it's very Japanese and conservative as compared to the Visual Kei era of Japanese Rock.
How brave are you? Next "Toy Instruments" by Gacharic Spin. They play alternate instruments!

@@rockdariff This might be the Toy Instruments video mentioned. If not, it is still worth watching (adorable as hell) and they are playing Tamashii, a song you are familiar with. Proof that the members of Gacharic Spin are not afraid to try anything - th-cam.com/video/DzoxNWNnFpw/w-d-xo.html
I think you were being asked if you were brave enough to watch them play toy instruments. I have faith in you!
      Edit: Almost forgot - Doll$Boxx - Take My Chance - th-cam.com/video/mu2z4Uf9Tgc/w-d-xo.html

Oh you do understand. You're pretty much on the money with your comments, you're just missing some background on Japanese music in general to make the pieces of the puzzle fit. The costumes are part of the characters they are playing. This is particularly true for guitarist TOMO-ZO, who plays the 'cute' (Kawaii) character in the group, hence fluffy costumes, lots of pink and a child like vibe. Her character has had several variations, the most recent of which is a space alien. (The title of this track is ニコリン星の通勤ラッシュ, which can be interpreted as Commuter Rush on Planet Nicorin. TOMO-ZO is from planet Nicorin. See, it all makes sense.) TOMO-ZO sings lead vocals for one track on each GS album where she really hams up the cuteness - it doesn't particularly do it for me, but I accept its part of the entertainment. Good music isn't enough in Japan - you have to entertain and stand out from the crowd. Quite why OREO (keys) was rocking a full-on burger costume is anyone's guess. You can see the same sort of thing in BAND-MAID - they have the maid costumes to contrast the music and Miku does her own take on kawaii.
You were right with the jam band comment too. There's some jazz in this track, a musical style that's still popular in Japan. I suspect the popularity of jazz helps explain why there are so many good / interesting bass players and drummers. A big part of good jazz is being tasteful and that's exactly what you get from TOMO-ZO here.

Thank you for the reaction! No, the audio isn't great but they're so much fun to watch. There are just a few bands that make me smile when I see them having fun on stage. This is also the core members, their lineup has had its ups and downs. I think it's pretty brave of them to add the younger members (vocals and drums on your recent reaction) and freshen up their stage show. Good work! (Speaking of brave... wearing a hamburger costume while playing bitchin' keys is right up there!)

Congrats you’ve just joined the 1% of fans who can actually pronounce the band.
I believe the best way to say it is…
    Ga…cha…ric Spin
    When the title says
    Instrumental it just
    Means that it’s a
Tomo-zo solo. Gives her a chance to cut loose when she is often taking a back seat…
    Yes oreo is a hamburger…
In the early days the girls wore pretty much what they wanted and it normally matched their chosen color and stage personality…
Tomo-zo spent several years in a pink princess outfit…
After victor picked them up they had to wear matching uniforms with some personal touches.
About a year before this performance the girls apparently managed to wiggle out from under their labels thumb. The ‘costumes’ they are wearing here are their personal creations…
As far as why you don’t understand their outfits I’d say it’s because your a guy… in America guys can get away with dressing down but the ladies rarely do. Now In Japan even the guys need to dress to impress and the ladies never get the chance…
I take it you haven’t reacted to band maid yet…
