This band has impressed me more than anyone with the fact that they can, and do play almost every style - you should also check out their older stuff like KAKUHEN where they had 2 dancers and Hana was playing drums and singing lead. also check out their side project with Fuki called Doll$boxx - more heavier rock style - keep up the good work on the reactions!!
We hear ANGELINA 1/3, HANA, and OREO LEONA sing, in that order. A key part of the song is the lyrics. You can find them on line. The ladies even made a video explaining how they made the song (it’s the opening track of their latest album), where they talk about how the lyrics were so personal. They key question asked is, “because I’m different from other people, will I never be loved?” At the beginning and at the end, ANGIE tells us, “the world is very beautiful.” You just have to look at it with the right attitude. “Ga-Cha-Ri-Ku” (ガチャリク) SPIN. (They call themselves “Gachapin” for short.) The naked lady is F-CHOPPER KOGA, bassist and co-founder. My favorite earlier song is SEKIRA RAIA (Red Naked Liar). It’s funky and super hard rocking at the same time. The song/MV was created after ARMMY but before ANGELINA 1/3. Search for「 赤裸ライア」.
A brilliant song, like a manic episode, especially since it was about the lockdown during covid, the isolation from normal life, how people on social media became closed minded and the feeling of anguish mixed with the hope that the future will get better. Pink haired Angelina 1/3, I think 18 when she joined the band a few years ago, has not only become a very strong vocalist but her facial expressions match the emotions of her vocals so perfectly that the message of this song really came through without even understanding the lyrics.. Not many bands would take the chance of writing a song like this but Gacharic Spin was able to pull it off since they are a group of extremely talented musicians who aren't afraid of pushing boundaries.
Cool reaction. I just got a ticket to see them in Osaka on Dec 30. Super excited....new years in Japan. even get to see band Maid again on Jan 9th. btw the naked lady is the awesome F chopper Koga! Also if you get some time react to Bridear and their song brave new world revisited. over 7 minutes long and guitar solos for days.
Just you know, the current lineup of Gacharic Spin (btw, you pronounced it right) is 6 members and 5 of them sing, bassist F Choppa Koga only does backup on some song as she has always said that she is tone deaf for vocals which I would disagree. In this video, you had Levin as support drummer while Yuri was on maternity leave. This was the 1st time Gacharic Spin had a male member appear in 1 of their music video play an instrument, he does appear in some live videos during that tour. Only other time you see them with a men on stage is with their side project Metallic Spin where they do metal cover with a male singer or for the yearly anniversary show for Ohmura (Kami Band) Since you already seen Fuki with Unlucky Morpheus and now, Hana, Tomo-Zo, Oreo and Koga with Gacharic Spin, I think you are ready for their side project Doll$Boxx 2012-we don't know when they will release something new ( pronounced Doll's Box) with their MV Take my chance th-cam.com/video/mu2z4Uf9Tgc/w-d-xo.html
@@nanakakitano9724 I didn't add that to my comment earlier cause it is usually only part of GS that takes part and not the whole band but those shows are great, specially since Koga and Boh play together in it. Bass orgasm
Great reaction The guitar and the bass have LED dots, there's an ON/OFF switch on the instruments which are made by the Japanese brand Vellmor. Gacharic Spin are even more incredible live. "TAMASHII" is the live song to go with them. But if you want a brand new song from them, that only have been released live, you should check out "Reverse Psychology". I think this song is right up to your alley. Thanks
Glad you returned to Gacharic Spin. When I said in a previous comment that they can lean both into pop rock and hard rock (as well as their funk rock), this song is a great example. Hana is the one that does the harsh vocals. Hana is right up there with Miyako as far as being an amazing multi-instrumentalist. She is world class at drums, guitar, bass as well as being a tremendous clean and harsh vocalist. BTW, they didn't get a model to be the nude woman. It is none other than F Chopper Koga You should take a look at Doll$Boxx as suggested by Repobob. Take My Chance is a great song and the music video is entertaining with a good sense of humor
@@xsundayxcore6137 Have you seen anything that credits Angie for some of the harsh vocals on this song? It all sounds like Hana to me and Hana is the only one actually shown singing the harsh vocals. Angie could do part of the harsh vocals live but I really think the studio version is all Hana.
@@danw6048 Watch at 3:50 You can see Angie with her head thrown back growling in the background, and then Hana starts a growl before Angie stops - and their growl tones are distinctly different.
@@Patrick_H. I agree their growl tones are different but to my ears it is only Hana on the album version, which is the same version for the music video. I could very well be wrong. I have heard Hana's harsh vocals much more than Angie's harsh vocals and I admittedly suffer from Hana bias.
So yes the band has gone thru many changes since being pop/dance/electronica in 2009. This pink haired singer Angie was recruited just at her 17th bday. Here’s their 10th anniversary show from only a few months later, she’d asked them to beef up one of their old dance tunes. It already had the prog bridge and the glowstick choreo, but it’s a lot heavier, yet still a big surprise dynamic. And good on them for (constantly) injecting some youth into their core4 lineup Juicy Beats live 2019 th-cam.com/video/pObpM-MNpVk/w-d-xo.html
No one sounds like gacharic spin most do to Hana who. Is playing rhythm guitar here but also creates most of the music. As a next step I’d suggest tamashii and you can go a bit longer do the toy version right after. Well worth the effort. Hana was drummer and lead vocals for over a decade…
The naked lady is actually F Chopper Koga, who before she decided to fully pursue music was actually a bikini model. So yeah, that’s a thing that happened
As you'll have figured out by now from the comments, they cover a lot of musical styles. Perhaps the biggest 180 degree turn you can do from here would be an acoustic track, or something where the electronic parts dominate. You might not like all the music you hear, but you'll always be entertained. My personal favourite Gacharic Spin era was when the two vocalists were stuck at the back of the stage on drums and keys. They hired a couple of ultra high energy hype girls resulting in some really wild live shows. The 2016 live version of Hunting Summer (search ハンティングサマー) has some stuff going on that I doubt you'll have ever seen before. If you want to keep a bit more metal, then DOLL$BOXX is the same core musicians plus Unlucky Morpheus' vocalist. Take My chance is the classic MV for a first reaction.
Also check out some classic Gacharic Spin with original vocalist Armmy (she left in 2012 and died from an undisclosed illness in 2015). Roulette th-cam.com/video/j7jrKNnnESo/w-d-xo.html
