Hi Sharon & Andy It’s taken me almost 24hrs to get this comment together I’m so impressed with you’re vision of things you intend to create At first years ago I used to think wt🤬 are they up to now However I’ve got used to how your creation is going to turn out but they always finishing up masterpiece How Andy’s creative mind works is beyond me and then Sharon comes along bringing up the rear with brilliant finesse for the end result 👏👏👏 Amazing time is irrelevant to you two Just the end result This wood store is a fabulous idea Started tuning in lockdown so I’m a longtime fan of your show 👌👌
Wow and thank you so much for taking the time (a considered amount of time) to compose your comment. We're really pleased you appreciate what we do. You hit the nail on the head - time is irrelevant - we're only doing this once, so it has to be right (for us) first time, no matter how painstaking each task can be. We also realise that a lot of people think it's all too very slow but we can't do anything about that. It is what it is. We're putting a lot into the snug as it will be a place we will be spending a lot of time and a stunning (for us) fireplace and surround is going to be a huge feature that we can look back on, hopefully for years to come, and think proudly 'We did that!' This is however just practice for the last and main room, which we hope to make something exceptionally special! Thank you again for your valued comment and your clear understanding of the process.
You both have contributed so much to the design of the renovations in the finca. It is lovely that you will have matching storage on both sides of the fireplace. It is going to look lovely when it is done.
Your skill in choosing the right stones really makes the arch look as if it’s always been there. I’m sure the other side will look just as good too. 👍🏽😎
Looks really good. It is going to be a really cosy room. When we had our house in Andalusia they sold lovely rugs made from waste fabric, they were warm and cozy and were washable. They would add a touch of colour and warmth underfoot once you have tiled the floor. Not sure if they are available in your area but they were great value. Have you decided what tiles you are going to use yet?❤
im loveing this site ,but why take the steels out,im a bricky, and doing a brick arce is differany to stone,no need to take them out,no one can see the templates,,only advice andy, keep up good work, mick UK
Thank you very much. The only reason for taking them out is I need them for the other side :) I only have 4 with the profile I need, so am stretching them.
Andy, The room is looking great!! Will building out the right side of the fireplace hinder you from accessing/getting up to the storage space near the ceiling?
Looks great. The room is starting to have character.
Great work! Especially enjoyed Jessie and Tillie’s duet😺😺
It's looking great !!!
Beautiful stonework, as usual, Andy.
From a ruin to a gem ❤
I love Tillies bark! Keep the bad guys out!😎
She does have a great bark lol. Since she discovered it, she over uses it!

Your arch turned out nice..
Wonderful result! Well done!!
Love your approach; always aiming at old, traditional way of building. We do not see many houses renovated in this style. Admire your patience.

Superb wood nook Andy. Short walk to the stone shop❤. Tilly has an impressive bark. The snug is more snuggy.

We think we're going terracotta tiles.... We have a large Moroccan community, in a town, not too far away - we have been eyeballing their rugs :)

Hi
What are you going to do behind the fireplace?
Are you going to paint?
We have explained what we are going to do in several videos
Andy, The room is looking great!! Will building out the right side of the fireplace hinder you from accessing/getting up to the storage space near the ceiling?
Thanks. That's an integral part of the challenge :)
🌟👏👍🍀💐
