WHAT!!!!!!!!! Hell yeah!!!!! Love my sc8.2e and rc8b3e, gotta get me one of those old buggies, that's awesome it has the conversion kit in the box!!!!! I would estimate it at 8 years old but i could be wrong!!!!
Looks like the FT version. Wow. I have an old one I am converting soon, if I was not into Tekno I would pick this one up as an extra set of parts. Love it!
Cool man. I was wondering about this kit. Looks quality. Seems like you could have just used the metal spur gear that came on it though. Dont understand why you had switch it? As long as the pitch is the same it should work fine.
It depends what size motor and KV you're going to use...It's nice to have different options. i personally would keep the metal spur....but If my motor clog or if I want more gusto on the low end. i d install the bigger spur..if i didnt have extra pinion laying around...i order a set of different pinon...just incase. You still have to be careful...it'll nickle and dime you...play the waiting...waiting for parts...That's the problem Im having at the moment doing conversions to electric..Im learning or not familar with process of what you need... Such as the little spacer..if you run a taller gear..So by defualt, I'll have to keep the stock metal spur..hopefully my motors have enough torque lol Which it dose..4074......but you can also install a 3670..if you have those. If you race...in certain class...the biggest motor they allow is a 3670...ect
Yeah buddy!! I still have my Rc8 E conversion that I upgraded to the rc8.2e standards with.. Shock towers,a arms, steering rack, center cva's, chassis, chassis braces and shocks!! These chassis are bulletproof!! Tho a pain to work on compared to modern chassis. They perform well in bumpy conditions and they really fly nicely!! I don't think Team Associated won a worlds in 1/8 with the Rc8/Rc8.2 but it's an amazing kit!! I believe the Rc8 came out in 2008/09
@@RCTanksTrucks247 You are most welcome man!! I will suggest double checking the gear mesh between the diff crown gear and the input gear in both front and rear. Also keep it 4s because the spiral cut diff gears are prone to stripping in my experience and based on what I read on RcTech. Glad the these are still being sold!!!!
I love my AE cars. Got an NTC3 turned rally car and an SC10GT still rocking the factory AE 18 engine. Absolute dreams. Tough as nails and fun to drive. Need to get out and run my SC10 later. Kinda wish you'da built this one nitro, though.
RC Tanks & Trucks 24/7 I've also noticed they started selling more HSP products too although no cheaper then what you can get from EBay. Depending who ask some will say HSP is a swear word in the hobby world while others swear by them as cheap durable hobby grade RC's with super cheap and readily available online parts.
Im in the process of converting a MGT 3.0 and RC8....into electric...right now. Perfect......this way I can learn from your mistakes and/or how to,.,,what to or not.lol I want the maximus...but cant afford it at the moment ( hopefully I'll save enough by x-max) In the meantime.....You get a crackin converting your's and tell me ..what's up.lol
Ive so far only got 2 associated cars. The Pro Rally.. 2014 and an SC10 pro comp short course truck.. the pro comp is awesome. So is to a point the pro rally .very quick car out of the box. However the spur gear got stripped so replacement should have been easy but the grub screw in the centre drive shaft coupling i think was glued in place as the screw would not come out and i had to hack saw the shaft to remove the parts. Did replace just that i need to modify the flat section for the grub screw to hold better and going to use red locktight.. as said lots of power
I’m going to get one of these have they got the truggy
Nice 😊
Nice work Steve!
Thanks man
Hay Steve I had an rc8e about 8-9 years ago and I think it had been out for a year or so before that as a nitro.very good car back then

Nice car Steve. Ever consider doing a nitro car or 1/5 scale gas on your channel?
I used to have nitro but got over cleaning and tuning. I miss the sound and smell tho.

Oh look cool, (checks out link)... $500!!!! For an “old” kit???? I can’t imagine the new kits costs, plus electronics?!?

Haha nice, Banggood flogging old premium RC's nothing wrong with that 😂
I hope they are going to do the same with thunder tiger
