I dont even own a rc but love watching your videos here in the USA! It's a refreshing escape from alot of the negative unfortunate realities of the current state of things to date. Your always upbeat and positive. Keep up the good work sir!

I have got both Electric and Nitro buggies and I have to say the Nitro puts a bigger smile on my face 😁 I use a heat sock for my nitro buggy and it starts so easy after that's been on 👍

Nitro is a ton of fun and I really enjoyed everyone I owned. I know consider myself a part time enthusiast and you can't beat the convenience of electric and it works perfect for me at this stage.
My thing about electric....you can drive them anywhere and not piss off everyone within a mile radius. And my car doesn't smell of nitro when I get back home.
And even when I had my nice backyard track....the exhaust can get obnoxious with no wind. LOL
I bought a traxxas jato that does 90km out the box & is nitro with a 2 speed box, the more nitro & tuned right with cog upgrades, easily does over 120km, I can't get enough of 1/10 scale beast
When a Nitro basher is running well there is nothing in RC that will put a more giant smile on your face.
Me personally I'll choose nitro over electric any day. Ive always loved fiddling with engines. Although I don't recommend nitro for kids.
I just love my nitros. Cant beat the sound smell and the realism!

nice video kev! you just have to adjust the screw on the third gear clutch (specifically you have to unscrew the screw so that the third gear engages earlier).

I own a 64 Dodge Dart with a Slant Six. The engine is an amazing cruiser. Loads of low end diesel like torque.
Nitro all the way, Being able to store your fuel without fear of it spontaneously igniting and burning your house down is a major plus!

For me, electric will always be superior. They’re faster, have more power, less moving parts to break, simple to work on, reliable, and (in most instances) cheaper. Nitro would be fun and all that but I’d rather get a car that I can just charge the battery of, plug it in and go play instead of getting one I have to fill with fuel and struggle to get running right, just for it to stall out for no reason.
I get the convenience and the power of electric but the nitro just sounds so good to me.

I don't think you're a true RC car enthusiast without trying nitro at least once. I'm totally over it though. It was more competitive in the pre lipo/brushless days. But these days electric is better in practically every way.
Nitro is great when working. I also prefer nitro but people are all about electric these days for the ease of use :(
What ever car puts the biggest smile on your face is the best RC car!
Nitro is fun but a huge maintenance nightmare. I switched to electric 20yrs ago and haven't looked back. Much faster, cleaner, and easier. Electric just work after sitting for 6 months, nitro requires hours of maintenance and fighting with it to get it to start after sitting for months.

See i'm not really agreeing with that and its because the power of the electrics cause alot more drivetrain damage, those Kyosho helical cut diffs isn't cheap I've effected a lot more repairs on my brushless toys than my nitro Madforce.
Btw I have an Almost vintage Nitro Madforce best basher I own.
And some people enjoy the maintenance side of RC

Yea I've never heard of a dart being a muscle car its gotta be a v8 and it ain't no hot rod Lincoln but with all said I'm not hating it's a very good looking car and would be a gem for anyone but muscle car I'm afraid not, classic american hot rod would be more appropriate but the hot rod part may need replaced with car

The best part about nitro tummy is the actual engine in the tuning required to make it run properly. I always bring more than one if I'm going to run nitro. Just because they can be finicky but they're still nothing that beats it
My grandpa had a Plymouth Satellite, not a hot rod but the same car basically. I have to go with the Nitro because I'm old and those were the fastest things you can have back in the day, because battery technology sucked back then.

Nice little car and the 225 slant 6 engine is nearly indestructible but they are an absolute dog, swap an old 340 into it or a modern hemi crate motor and it will become a muscle car

Started with TAMIYA electric buggies, then went to Traxxas Nitro 4-tech and T-MAXX, then E-REVO, now strictly electric with X-MAXX & Sledge.
Nitro is a blast & I keep all my nitro planes, truck and cars in good condition. It’s fun to break them out now and then.

I love nirto rc cars but ultimately electric is better dew to that u have less maintenance less cleaning time its just as fast and u can run it about the same time on a Sunday out if u have more charged batteries.

I had a 4 door 73 dart with a 318 I loved it I forgot all about the shoulder belts on the roof and how they like to whack you when you roll down the window

When I started out nitro was definitely the way to go but now electric can do the same and then some. But you can't beat the sound of the nitros.

For a beginner I would most definitely go electric. When I had a nitro it spent most of the time being fixed. So went back to electric

each car has its own pros and cons. I'm all for a nitro, when the are set up right, AND maintained right. I refuel and you need batteries to charge or many of them. I do also own both nitro and electric. I went electric because I don't have to do the after run procedure
Need to adjust the grub screw in the 3rd gear to reduce the required RPM for it to engage, loosen it slightly and itll kick in. But make sure it doesnt kick in at a lower RPM then the second gear.
The Kyoaho Mad Crusher platform (VE or nitro) has a major weak point in that both axles are two piece, and slot together with screws. They snap constantly, and always at the screw point. Makes it terrible for anything other than a field. One piece aluminium axles are available online and completely change change the durability.

I used to race a lot and the only time gas is more fun than electric is enduro style races. The planning of the pits, servo batt swaps, tires, fuel, etc. is chaos with gas. Other than that, there's too much unpredictable prep, tooling, and maint with nitro. Sucks the fun out of RC imo and might as well race full scale in the driver seat. Some of the most fun racing we had ever done was 24 hour enduro. Keeping cars on the track that long took a lot of work and planning. The funny part was there was one driver who technically, legally drove on every single car's team.

I had the Kyosho USA1 electric truck in the 90s and it was a real POS. The drive shafts would pop and slip and would have to be changed every other run. I also had the Clod Buster. Not near the suspension the USA1 had but it never broke.

The NitroTeck car i had always kept stripping its gears and chluch kept melting so that's the one down side as well to the nitro cars.
My first RC was nitro. Ive been a mechanic most of my life so gasoline and nitro was 2nd nature to me.

Oh yeah, in Australia the main Chrysler sedan was a Valiant. One of our Valiants was a right hand drive Dart with Valiant badges on it.

My dad had a few nitros lots of years ago, they’re always messing up and are bitches to work on.. electric are so reliable, easier to fw, and are faster.

Had a Mad Force back in the day. It was probably my favorite nitro I ever had second to the duratrax evader. Miss those days 100%. It’s wild to think that I got it new over 18 years ago. I still remember taking it out of the box
