Took me 5 years to dust off after chemo for Hodgkin's Lymphoma and getting to this place of doing something different and make something shift in my financial life. 2 weeks in, and holy cow...here I go...and I believed I wasn't a "math person". Seeing Dr. Jordan Peterson say that he is broken and unworthy strikes me deeply. I am young and I am am broken. I feel unworthy of all the good I have. Jordan peterson is my hero. If this person who I consider great feels broken and unworthy, than maybe I can be great too... maybe.

Yes, Casey, you can be great or at least feel enough. When one feels so unworthy, they often experience the 'imposter syndrome' or 'inferior complex'. Getting to a place of feeling enough is a great place. Try be kind to yourself.

Jordan Peterson and Tom have literally been one of the reasons I am still here today 💜I'm 27 and life hit me pretty hard. I'm actually coming up with a resource that helped me become the man I am today. I used to live in Miami around street violence, I used to eat $3 a day, 25 cents noodles, expired toast and canned campbell tomato soup. I survived the Boston Marathon Bombing which was a few feet away and I saw all the blood the people screaming and I was alone at 18. I also used to live in a room with no kitchen, trash bag as a window and bugs crawling on me at night. I also took boxing to protect myself and learned how to defend against bigger threats. Now I live in a cabin in the north of Sweden where I go down to a lake to breathe and heal my past and I post on TH-cam to help others who need it the most. I'm going to come up with 20 minute mini documentary and hope people can use my story to help motivate them.

In my humble opinion JP is so controversial because he dares to disagree with main stream. He is eloquent and confident. He is well practiced in the art of debate. It is well-known that he is highly intelligent. He allows himself to show emotions: anger as well as sadness and grief. Those who oppose him become frustrated when they cannot have a healthy debate with /against him. So they resort to cheap labels. He is already miles ahead of many thinkers and philosophers. No one brings a new concept to him in conversation or debate. So he is always well prepared. He is well read in other than his field of interest in academia. He is like that straight A student who has read the syllabus before the start of the course. I do not always agree with him but I greatly admire his abilities.

it is so touching to see Jordan so emotionally raw, so honest, and humble. Vulnerable and human! Much love to you
@19:40 Tom, I loved how you let yourself reach out to Jordan, I can tell you were shocked. You raised to the occasion, you matched his level of openness and it was really beautiful to see... two humans, opening their hearts and speaking from their hearts. Jordan is severely depressed... if he wasn't that intelligent and profound in his thinking, he would actually be really happy about what he achieved in his life... however, his knowing of what is important in life and "reality" is preventing him from enjoying himself. Suffering and living life with intensity, is what brings the best or worst in people.

1:19:29 This is spot on. I lived in a community where I ended up helping in only other peoples projects and with other peoples children in order to be of value for the community. My ideas for improvement of some of the systems in place were rejected over and over again, music was seen as a nice but unnecessary hobby, I was called obsessive and unproductive for designing solutions for small rooms and tiny houses but not actually building them. I ended up not touching any of my instruments for over a year. When I realised how unhappy I had gotten I started creating again, in secret. A year later I left. Now I simultaneously feel like myself again and like a completely new person! I've been struggling with my self worth for not having properly practiced for 4 years, but I'm getting there. If you are a musician who struggles with this too, It's never too late to start practicing again!

Suddenly, after decades of intermittent lows, some of which I worried I'd not pull myself up from, I make sense to me.
I feel like I shrivel up and start dying when I go too long without writing. On hearing this, it's cemented in my mind that 'day jobs', where I attempted to fit me in around them, are not for me... I am a writer! 😏

But ther'are also a lot of people making fun of him beeing a "sissi" - i have enough with dealing with all the people in job which put on every day there mask, who they prettend to be, instead just be open and life. But thats anyway a big problem of our Business World, that bcz of hirarchy, you not allowed to say how it is. You sit in a meeting with your Boss and HR talking negotiating, but you not able to say. Hey Boss stop now, you know exactly thats not true, but he's the Boss and if you not stepping back and shutup you free to leave. / which not everybody so easely can, specially if there are kidds arround. As a teacher and deeply compassionate person, I can feel his pain. He is most certainly more intelligent and introspective than the average human can even fathom. And he deeply wants to bring everyone on the same playing field. The problem is, some people are simply bottom on the totem pole and will never improve. I used to think this was insensitive. But it is truly humanity. It is pathetic to realize how fucked up human nature is at times. We must protect ourselves and detach at times from the “helping” of others especially those who wish to hurt us at any cost.

Probably overthinking things alot, most annoyingly trying to find meaning behind everything. This man is giving up strength and years of his life to help others and it will not be in vain. ♥️

I think some people don’t like him because he shows you how a lot of your circumstances are on you. He makes it hard to blame others and not yourself. Which means it’s up to you to make things better. And it’s easier to stay where you are and blame others.

Dr. Peterson, you are not controversial. You speak about truth and ground them in facts and easy to understand examples from stories most people are familiar with. People don't like truth when it addresses their faults. We are all failures in many ways. Some people realize it and want to grow up and be our best. You may force Inconvenient feelings in people, but that's a gift. That's loving your neighbor as yourself, just like you explained. You are a brilliant man and a gift to humanity. I thank you from all that I am for the inconvenient feelings you have given me.

God Bless you Jordan Peterson. Jordan has helped me. I have been deemed unworthy of fatherhood by the narcissistic (malignant) mother of my child and erased from my sons life seperated by an ocean. He was kidnapped and I was treated with contempt when I tried to fight for him legally contending with a false reality and well trod narratives of toxic masculinity, presented by people riddled with cluster B psychologies. Jordan Peterson has been very important in my survival. I am pretty broken too but my identity is secure and he must recognize his importance for men in these drastic times!

I'm so glad I came across Jordan Peterson. He has me looking at myself and others in a different way and even look at life in a different way too. I'm more aware of what I think and put out there. All my life everyone told me I was worthless and now I think God didn't make me for worthlessness. So now I'm able to dig deep to see who am I really and keeping out the voices of my life growing up. I'm finding I'm smart, helpful, and worthy of life. I was always in the way, stupid and don't make a difference in life or make life worse. Now I can see they weren't telling the truth and it's exciting finding out what God had planned for me. I love listening to Jordan and I even cry with him. I love the emotions as you see him as human and down to earth. I'm learning so much and want to learn as much as possible. I'm 57 and I've learned more about myself, people and life in the past 2 years I've known about Jordan than my entire life.

He really touches home. It breaks my heart that he feels so damaged when in my eyes he’s a hero! I could only wish to speak my truth. When you aren’t financially abundant, the majority don’t take you seriously, well those “financially above you” certainly don’t. , so you dwell in private on the fact that you know you aren’t living your truth in order to just keep a job that allows you to survive. It makes you learn not to rock the boat because you need to keep that job you have just to keep afloat, and THAT is distressing. Staying home and raising my kids was the best thing I could ever do for them , but man, society and life doesn’t stop for stay at home parents. I wish I would have went to college while I raised them so I wouldn’t have ended up where I am today. Single and Struggling at 50 years old. Talk about feeling damaged. I guess no matter what age or financial class, if you feel damaged, you feel damaged. I wish he didn’t feel that way though because he truly is a hero to so many people.

Jordan understands issues on multiple levels , plus the subtle underlying (and normally hidden or unconscious for most humans) incoherent dynamics, mechanisms and delusions thats driving situations and behaviours. That in itself gives him foolproof logic that you cant argue with. Futile. But also he exudes that very special energy which , just by his presence, brings people’s shadow up to the surface in order for them to face this in themselves, to heal and integrate (hopefully) … they will effing hate him for it without even rationally knowing why. They will lash out with any moronic brainless argument to hurt this person who is making them feel so shameful and angry. He’s a catalyst and change agent so to speak…and then there are those who resonate with his profound wisdom and enlightenment and adore him.
He has to be an inner kickass warrior to be that for humanity today .. its because of his astounding strength and courage (even if he doesnt think so ;) Very few on this planet has that kind of strength , humility , courage, honesty, authenticity, and cares very deeply about others ❤.. unconditional love for the greatest good …sometimes needs to be of the “tough love” kind . For their own good.

I love Peterson. A tormented and broken soul, just like the rest of us. Sharing this with the world must be one of the hardest things to do. Being vulnerable and open with his emotions. His concern for those that attacked him, knowing they are also tortured souls, is astounding. A way I could only hope to be towards my enemies.

  • @thisismyspout

Its so awful to see Jordan think he is unworthy. As if he questions what value he has to others, self doubt primarily derived from the constant onslaught of the toxic people of the world fighting for their own limitations. Most lack the discipline and open mindedness to even absorb the content/ even if they do all they are looking for is anything they can argue with to justify their own insufficiency.
I hope Jordan can some day accept the value he has to others. That the only reason he is questioning it is because when we engage in such debates everybody is going to fight for their ideology. Frequently by intentionally and tactically aiming at bringing the other person down to their level.
This man genuinely saved my life after a lifetime of struggle with Autism. Social problems, depression, suicide attempts.
    So thankyou Jordan.
    You saved my life.

Kindness affects me the same way as JP, it nudges and tugs off those old scabs and applies a balm of coolness and stings a bit . When I come across someone who is genuinely compassionate towards me it sometimes gets me in my feelings. Recognizing that humanity in the human person in my presence is humbling and all too rare for me. But before I just accepted whatever or whoever came my way and tried to mold myself into an acceptable version of who they needed me to be safe. Now my circle is small but I am at peace. Btw, I love all the flouncers, lol, hugs hon.

I fell into negativity and procrastination yesterday as well as past scenarios of what if which left me feel fatigue by the end of the day but watching and most importantly... Listening 👂 has guided me back.. I stopped working since before last Christmas last year to recalibrate away from the rat race to return to my true self and the path I was meant for. Thank You Tom, you have each really reached me on everything within this video.

I love so many things about this conversation. One of them is how Jordan is not 'emotionally sober' or 'in control', yet still keeping 'a handle' on his authentic and vulnerable position. This is where the magic of humanness is, in our ability to take right actions, align ourselves towards coherence, even when we are not feeling fully coherent. To make a good choice even when none of the choices feel easy or fully correct. Much love to both of you and to everyone who reads this. #AllOne #OneAll
