That mans SP bar is for complete show. He only learns ONE skill that uses it at level 59 and it costs 36 MP and thats Debilitate. My mans took fuck magic users to heart and then proceeded to beat them with big stick.
I guess you could also use him as your go-to debuffer (even if it's just debilitate) and save yourself some SP for other things like healing. But I guess it's more efficient to have him wreck house directly
Boost and Amp skills apply as well. My Protagonist is destroying late game with the Siegfried theurgy (severe Slash damage to all foes while ignoring resistances) while charged and buffed. Can't wait to get Bloody Charge from Hell Biker.

Atlus should’ve made it where in NG+ even after October 4th you can still use him. It’s like Zenkichi in Strikers where in that game’s NG+ you can use him right off the bat despite it contradicting the current story. It’s NG+, which is just mainly for fun as you already played through the game, so being able to use Shinji post October 4th would’ve been fine.

they knew you wouldn’t be seeing him for the latter half of the game so they had to find some way to cram as much screentime for him as possible

I was doing 6000+ damage on higher level shadows in Harrabah.
I had him take out a monad floor boss by himself. No one else even got a turn. Lol
that happened for me too! He hit it for 1600 damage and I was like... okay then.
Damn, he's overpowered. Can't wait to use him on the final boss.

He actually has good skills for the end game which Is strange because you can't have him at this level without farming for hours or killing the reaper
