Congratulations! !! I'm due any day now. My age has me a little worried but I'm sure everything will b fine. My daughter is 24 yrs old so it's been a long time since I have gave birth lol. Here we go. The perfect journey!
In Finland (at least in the hospital I gave birth) they didn't use soap for the baby. The first bath was maybe day and a half after the birth. Actually, it is recommended in Finland not to use anything else than water to bath your baby, only some baby oil if baby's skin is dry.

Hi Bridget! I am going to give birth with a midwife at her clinic, could you make a video about how they typically handle after birth care? Please let me know of any differences you have witnessed as a doula! Thank you so much!
Hey Bridget!! Thank you for all the value you bring!! Ive been leaning towards not getting the vitamin K shot, I was wondering what your thoughts on it were?
Can I ask why you wouldn’t? Genuinely curious. The risks of not getting the shot are worse than any adverse event known. Worst worst worst case scenario is baby develops infection at injection site (very rare), and is started on antibiotics. The worst case scenario of NOT getting the vitamin k shot is your baby hemorrhaging to death-and by that time treatment is usually too late.
@@briannairene185 Ive read a lot of things from medical professionals that stated that its a synthetic shot and that they can get vitamin K into baby a different way. The vitamin k shot is not just a vitamin. The actual synthetic vitamin used is less than the rest of ingredients listed on the insert including benzol alcohol and polysorbate 80 both are dangerous and are higher in volume than the synthetic vitamin K. You can find the insert online with all the potential adverse events and on the one my hospital uses the actual insert specifies that the synthetic vitamin isn’t a clotting agent what it actually does is make babies blood 1000x’s thicker than adults blood which in turn makes it hard for the stem cells from the cord/placenta to reach baby to help restore any trauma caused during labor the insert also states to only inject under the skin and not intramuscularly only in extreme cases where via under the skin is not feasible. The vitamin K has vitamin K in it, it says in the name. 😅 And if you did your research, you'd know there are preservativefree alternatives out there. Also, did you know salt has Chloride in it, no one talks about that either. Chlorid is a very toxic gas on its own, but harmless when combined with Natrium, and because salt is so commonly used, this information doesn't hopefully cause a mass panic. 😅
come on! I see that people still have this inheriting too much false information from socialization but not a trusted scientific sources! Why do not all human go to study science if they will talk science non-scientifically?
The vitamin K shot is not nessassary they start to develop vitamin k 5 days after birth. It was made originally because back in the day the babies where circumcised more and ut was fashionable to do that to babies unfortunately.
People in the comments are ridiculous. Whether someone wants to vaccinate or not vaccinate their child should never be the next persons issue. Focus on yourself and your household. You can’t coerce people into a decision you feel is the right way. If you’re vaccinated you shouldn’t catch anything from a non vaccinated person. I could be wrong 🤷🏽♀️
What about vaccines for diseases where immunity reduces over time including COVID vaccines we are seeing right now. Also people who are overall immuno compromised. So yes, vaccinated people can also get sick. Also let’s not forget kids and adults who can’t be vaccinated due to medical conditions. They depend on other people to be vaccinated to be protected from herd immunity.
@@aprilblossoms4 herd immunity is a bs argument for hep b since it´s not transmissible through proximity (and also for cov!d, since the vax doesnt protect from transmission). So the choices of other people on both of those cases do not have any effect on you whatsoever. Take your fearmongering elsewhere. Peace.
My ex wife tried to have me removed from the hospital room the day my second son was born. I did not understand why until later on. My second son was not my biological son and did not physically resemble me or his mother. My ex wife knew this was a possibility so tried to prevent me from seeing the birth. The goal was to claim that the doctors gave her the wrong baby after birth. This was the excuse she was preparing just in case I questioned his paternity. She knew she couldn't use that excuse if I actually saw the baby come out of her. Paternity fraud sex rituals are a part of witchcraft manipulation. The biblical punishment for witchcraft is death. 🔥
I don't know about the black box warning, but I do know that there isn't a human alive (adult or baby) that produces their own vitamin K (similar to how we can't make our own vitamin D, we get it from sources in our environment). This vitamin is only acquired through eating foods that contain it. Breast milk doesn't contain it at all, but babies fed with formula can build up a supply within 8 days because it's added into the formula. By 6mo, babies can eat solid foods that contain it.
Raesong92 vitamin k does come through in breast milk. But not very much, if the mother is taking vitamin K supplements than the breast milk does contain more of it. This is what studies show....
@@censoreverything8072 my first son had a bad reaction to it plus after the fact I read what's in the vitamin k (aluminum) etc and discovered that the stem cells in delayed cord clamping is what truly helps with the smalls tears. The vit k has aluminum in it. Why dont they tell you that
The vitamin K has vitamin K in it, it says in the name.
Aluminum is also in deodorant, do you use that?
Because it doesn't
@@BiotechArab science is not to always be trusted!! They don’t get everything right.
The vitamin K shot is not nessassary they start to develop vitamin k 5 days after birth. It was made originally because back in the day the babies where circumcised more and ut was fashionable to do that to babies unfortunately.
You should state in the title that this applies ONLY to America
Yeah I was wondering that! Thank you!
Um no? She clearly has a US accent and TH-cam is mostly Americans. If you want your own videos, invent your own app
@Natalia excuse me but racist much
People in the comments are ridiculous.
@@aprilblossoms4 I’m not a cow
@@aprilblossoms4 herd immunity is a bs argument for hep b since it´s not transmissible through proximity (and also for cov!d, since the vax doesnt protect from transmission). So the choices of other people on both of those cases do not have any effect on you whatsoever. Take your fearmongering elsewhere. Peace.
Dr mary tocco. How about. Vaxxed 2 the movie
VITAMIN K IS NOT MANDATORY!! Regardless of "policy".
It's literally the law in some states goofy ho
Vaccinating a newborn against hep b is rediculous I don't know any sexually active heroine addicted newborns tbh I'd be a bit concerned if I did 🤔🙄😂
So many people on here are such dummies, it's if the mother is carrying it or it's in the hospital you dodo
@@NadiaSeesIt mothers are tested for it you dodo 😊
Babies develop their own vitamin K in 8 days and it had a black box!
Not true at all .. all scientific studies approved vitamins K cannot be produced by a human body at least before adulthood ..
So why do you think doctors give it to them
Raesong92 vitamin k does come through in breast milk. But not very much, if the mother is taking vitamin K supplements than the breast milk does contain more of it. This is what studies show....
If that was true babies wouldn't die from internal bleeding. Listen to the professionals
You lost me at vitamin K and especially Hep B vaccine. Viewers please seek more opinions on this and read the inserts.

@@plamondonworks6948 Oh yeah! 100% even better I'm anti- abortion and love my second amendment rights. 🇺🇲

@@censoreverything8072 my first son had a bad reaction to it plus after the fact I read what's in the vitamin k (aluminum) etc and discovered that the stem cells in delayed cord clamping is what truly helps with the smalls tears. di gi Do you know if the shot he got was the type with preservatives? I read there is one without.
I came here for the babies. 😢
Lots of "ums."
Add other video and photos. No one wants to see just you the whole video, even if you are pretty.
