- How to reset your stubborn Nissan SES Service Engine Soon light. This video will show you exactly on how to reset this light !!!! For most nissan's. The Nissan SES Service Engine soon light is NOT a maintenance service reminder but a CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. This means the car has PROBLEMS !!! If you reset it and the light comes back, it means the problem has not been fixed. I have no idea why they wanted to differ from every other car manufacturer with the CHECK engine logo.

Worked for me on Nissan Frontier 2009, too. Just a tip,if not successful first day or trying multiple times without success, just do it the next day. The best, leave the car parked overnight.
Next day, It worked in the first attempt.

Thank you !! Thank you ! I tried this on my 2000 Nissan frontier pickup truck work like a charm 👍.. some other TH-cam site claimed hit the accelerator five times that didn't work !???... You were the one who were correct...hit the brake pedal five times count to seven hold down on the gas/accelerator for 10 seconds then let go and shut the truck off and turn it on again voila 👍👍👍👍

I tried this 3 or 4 times on my Versa. The light never blinked and I did not start the car in between lights. BUT when I restarted the car the check engine light was off. So it did work, just in a different way.

Did the light come back on afterwards? Light goes off on mine after I unplug battery for 10 sec and then plug it back, but after a week or so the light comes back again.

Tried this after installing an air intake. It took a few times and it finally worked. My advice to other would be to follow the commands while playing the video. His counts seems to be perfect on the 2nd try. Thanks man. 🙌🏿

Changed the bad catalytic converter changed the #6 coil wire on 2002 infinity Qx4 on girlfriends SUV light still on did what you said worked like a charm right away took it to smog check ✔️ passed went to AAA she got her sticker thank you very much going to share your video with family and friends who drives Nissan cars thx again my friend!

Thanks man. I was fixing some gauges and after I installed the instrument cluster back in I got the Service Engine Soon light and thought I messed something up but after this the light turned off. 😁👍👌

Thank you, this worked for my 2009 Nissan Versa. Gotta be quick to press that gas 5 times after the first 3 seconds of turning the key to the ON position or else it won't start flashing. Took me a couple tries.

Wow it worked after 10 tries. I had to release the gas then hold again 10+ seconds. Turn off while blinking then restart
