Next year my gynecologist told me, After an ultrasound that i had 4 eggs on both of my ovaries, i was 38 and felt suddenly old and terrible. Good point i have 2 kids and didn't want more. 4 months later i was pregnant and i'm now close to give birth. I realised that, in fact, a picture AT one Time of your life IS just a picture and doesn't deffine your all life.
I appreciate this video! Im 40, TTC for a year. Age related infertility is all they have said. Perfect AMH and follicle count. But no one explained that my AMH could fluctuate. Thank you!
This was really helpful! I have a low AMH, over 40, and going through IVF for about 6 months with no luck so far. I hear mixed information regarding DHEA... if you could share some information regarding DHEA and low ovarian reserve, advanced age, pros/cons I would really appreciate it! thank you so much for always sharing information in a postive, compassionate way, it means a lot!
There is another channel here on YT, the egg whisperer show, that says DHEA is not good. She had an interview with another doc a couple of weeks ago about it. Maybe check her out.
How does the ovarian reserve change over time in women with PCO/PCOS? (Is the slope of the line different?) Is pcos “cured” as women age and approach menopause? Does pcos have any relation to the age of menopause?
Hi, can you do a video on thin uterus and hormonal imbalance. My obgyn told me there in no cure or treatment for me to do. Even thought my period now is only max 2 days
I just had my testing done about 3 months after stopping birth control and TTC, I was very surprised and concerned that my AMH was 8,2 µg/L which seems very high. I am 32 and have no symtoms of PCOS really and seem to ovulate regularly (tracking with OPK and BBT). Is this then only positive, that I have an high egg count, or is it a sign of bad egg quality..?
When women see an INCREASE in their AMH over the course of a few months ( after lifestyle change, supplements, etc).. has their antral follicle count increased or have more antral follicles become "stimulated " ( and were there all along?)
Hello, I am 34 years old, at 24 I had my son naturally, since I was 26 we have been trying to have more children but I was diagnosed with secondary infertility due to low ovarian reserve at 31, in July of this year I had a positive pregnancy test, I was very surprised but very happy, I lost the pregnancy at week 11, although they told me that the baby stopped growing at week 6. I repeated the anti-Mullerian hormone test and it is at 0.7, do I have hope of achieving another natural pregnancy?
Hi... My question is... Why do I still have my menstrual cycle every month (28 days to 33 days) but have a very low reserve? If I don't ovulate like the doctor said I shouldn't have my menstrual cycle (which is regular), right? I'm 42 years old 😊.. Thank you 😘
I'm also wondering that since we only need one egg, why should we stop trying for a baby if we have low AMH? As long as there is one mature egg/month there should be a chance at pregnancy, I would assume.
well especially if you want more than one, you might want to bank embryos while you're younger. also as amh decreases, ovarian function also decreases, leading to hormonal imbalances which can also complicate pregnancy attempts.
AMH is a hormone that can be measured in a blood test to tell you how many eggs remain in your ‘vault’ (to quote Dr Crawford) It does not tell you the quality of the eggs. It does give you an idea of whether your AMH is low or high for your age compared to the average woman tested. Mine was average so I can assume the best predictor of my future fertility (based on that measurement only) is my age. However now Dr Crawford has mentioned that it is only a snapshot into the eggs you have at that moment, I’m a bit concerned that I don’t know how fast my eggs are running out! So much to think about! I have a feeling I have about ten years left so fingers crossed! Good luck to you with your goals and or learning ❤
Is AMH measured differently in other countries? I've just turned 43 and my amh was done last month and it was 7.5 that now seems very high, i had 5 follicles. Im in the UK.

My first period was at 15, so did I enter puberty at 13? Personally I saw my first signs of puberty at 11… so I think there must be a fair amount of person to person variation on length of the puberty process etc! I’d also recommend researching correlations between age at onset of puberty and fertility, on a reputable website like WebMD.
Interesting! Nature doesn't seem that efficient if we lose tons of eggs even before puberty! lol. Since it's a finite resource, you'd think nature would treat it as such? Instead it's like "you're losing these things all the time and you'll never make more". Funny, and also kind of sad 😭😂
I have question So when i go for artificial insemination will i be biological mother of my child ? And will sperm go my egg or someone else egg to fertilize to make baby
Based on my knowledge of the topic, the terminology you have used implies you would be the biological mother and the donated sperm would come from the other person. I would advise making sure you understand this before going through with the procedure, by speaking with your doctor. Don’t be afraid to sound silly when your future is involved.
So cool! I’m pregnant with a girl right now and to think she has all her eggs already and I’m carrying my future grandchildren is just mind blowing 🤯

Can you please do a video on Accutane and how it affect egg count and quality? I think women are not told about the risks of taking the drug!

Wonderful information as always.
It was good to get that reminder that egg freezing doesn’t impact future egg levels.

Hi can you do a video about when you don't release eggs at all what happens to your body

Is there a certain day to test the AMh?
You can take the test any day
Day 1 or 2 of cycle
Any day.
2,3,4 of cycle is most accurate, and when you repeat on same early day you can track over time.
I'm also wondering that since we only need one egg, why should we stop trying for a baby if we have low AMH? As long as there is one mature egg/month there should be a chance at pregnancy, I would assume.

@@justathumb Yes. But that is if you have access to lab clinics, fertility docs and freezing. I meant if you don't have access to those things.

so i have pcos and my AMH is around 4.00 and I just turned 35. does that mean my egg quality isnt the best with that amount?

@@meenaboneena some countries use different units. She is probably using US unit, ng/ml
Uk does pmol for amh
Can DHEA supplementation be useful with very low AMH (0.3) at age 40? Thank you

This makes me a bit sad, my first period was at 8, so I entered puberty at 6? Is early menarche linked to fertility issues?

That depends on whether you are using an egg donor or your own eggs.
