You always amaze me with your zeal and drive to get these type of jobs done.. Even with the bumps in the road.. Always loved that T-Shirt from my old country..
Hi Woody, can I ask is there a reason why you shortened the pole from the end that takes the sheet, rather than the end that connects to the smaller jokey pole?
Hey, Woody! This job has been on my list for some time and now. Where did you find that bracket that opens to fit on the Stantion?! What are it’s specs? I measure the stantion at 23mm and the pole-end hole at 22mm. I have a piece of 22 that fits nicely into the pole end, but I can’t find a fitting.
I found the fittings online.. sorry. Sn’t remember where now but they were standard 25mm and I just fitted a plastic sleeve to the stantion post and a kinda step down stainless steel collar to the metal bit that fits into the end of the pole to hold it in place and it’s been good right across the Atlantic and Pacific. Shortening and mounting them has stopped the pole ‘dipping’ and also prevents the sheets from snagging on them when they’re stored on deck.. been a great modification.

Either end would have done the job really but I noticed the rivets needed replacing on that end anyway.
