I talked to you a couple of years ago about my triple stage UNI Filter that I made for my car which is still working perfectly. I have one of your UNI filters on the way and instead of using the hose clamp I will use garter springs to clamp the filter base to the airlifter housing. I will let you know how it goes. Mcmaster Carr has garter springs and I have some that will work already I am sure.
I remember you. I think the garter spring is a good idea, however it seems a little intimidating to drill your airbox and use the hose clamp but it is really very simple and the safest choice still.
@@fullaccessutv Lol, I am not intimidated at all about drilling a hole in my air box. Long time mechanic here. I have the filter mounted in the air box with the garter spring installed and it is a tight fit. I am 100% confident that the filter base is sealed. I have to pull pretty hard to remove the air filter with the garter spring installed.
@@fullaccessutv By the way, your filter is very nice! I look forward to testing it out. My car is supercharged. The filter oil had settled out in the filter, but I treated mine with Bel Ray Foam Air Filter Oil. My garter springs are pretty strong. After my air filter lid is closed, I guarantee that filter is not going anywhere and or sucking air around the filter base. I made sure to degrease the filter and air filter housing sealing surfaces before I installed the filter. Some people are indeed intimidated by the fact one must drill a hole in the filter housing but not me. You have laid the process out thoroughly and it is an easy task. I am just trying something different.
@@bretstephensen8821 interested in you trying it. yes that UNI oil does run out of the filter, however I have heard with bell ray that people were seeing some dirt in the track. Maybe that oil is not getting in all the foam? Be interested hear what you have to say.
Jake, the Baldwin RS30077 is a half inch longer than the stock filter, also works great and doesn’t have the 3 little indentions that the Donaldson has.
Agreed and we were selling those also. We still couldn’t get one trip out of them. Those three little things are just one of the issues. It really needs to clamp on and be reusable.
How do you clean this? It appears that the Uni Filter Element is glued to the base. The OEM air filter allowed for the Uni sock to be unrolled from the perforated cage it goes over so you can work the cleaner in, thoroughly rinse it out and then squeeze it reasonably dry. If I can't get the element sock off for cleaning then I will never get it dry enough to immediately reinstall it???
We were talking about doing that. However there is a bunch of good videos out there. The only thing that is truly confusing is this is a two-stage filter. Some of the videos show people removing the first stage. That is not how these filters are built.
@@fullaccessutv Okay I was getting a little confused about that. The filter looks seemed together as one piece. Love all your products. If you guys do have time time to do a quick video. Would love to see it. Thanks
@@chasemartin8893 I think we will for sure. Just waiting to get enough miles on one so it’s dirty enough. We have a customer who just did eight months on his UNI filter. No issues
@@fullaccessutv Dang mine came super oiled. Dripped down oil down the little lip flap at the bottom of the air box. Did 100 miles out in Cali and it’s caked on. I’ll wait for video. Thanks.
Ok people it's been since August that this filter was released, how about an update on the performance. Any trace of dirt in your intake tube. Let me Know Jake needs my money!!
We have sold over 500 of these now, and the results speak for themselves. The dirt is no longer in the engine!

Took 10-15 mins to install. Longest time to align snake clamp. Very tight fit.
With the filter being so tight, it won’t get damaged when you close the door on it and put the clamps on??
Not at all. It was made for the factory air box
@@fullaccessutv I ordered and installed the filter but forgot to order the 3/4 plug. Are they sold separately on your site? Thanks
@@IamChucky_ yes we have them separately on the site. Search those keywords or just call us.

hello! Thanks for the video. does this filter fit a 2023 KRX4 1000? any help is appreciated!
yes it does

yes, some of uni's filters are glued on. They have videos of how to clean those.
Man I wish I new about this a lot sooner. I got a oem air filter !
Well they only last so long. Lol
Does this filter come apart for cleaning or is the cage non-removable?
its a non removable cage.
Would you recommend this over going with a particulate filter? - excluding cost difference.
For the most protection you can get, I would do both together.
Will you guys do a video on how you guys clean the filter?

What is the part number for that filter please and what ever else is used

@@fullaccessutv thank you a lot of people come in my shop and ask for washable filters for the KRX 1000
Are there any plans options to possibly add an outerwear to this possibly?
It should not be needed with the foam. The outerwear is more for a single stage filter like stock or K&N. The UNI red layer is similar to a outerwear.

Do you have to put some type of filter oil on this or just wash it & let it dry thoroughly? Looks like a good set up!
It comes pre-oiled and ready to use. However when you take it out to clean it you will need to re-oil it. We offer the service kit on our website.
I’m sure the 2023 KRX4 will have the same issue? I’m waiting on mine
It’s the same
Do these give an extra hp boost?
So the two filters I ordered from you are crap?
No they work better than the stock ones, however are not going to last. This is a one time and last time purchase.
😂😂! Not crap, just not the new and improved.
Cool
My filters have never looked bad around the seal .
we have never seen one that wasnt. Moist dirt/ ground area you may not see it as bad.
