Do you have a pricing list as to what you charge for printing, travel, etc.? And who pays you when the signer doesn't sign, and how is that done. Do you invoice the escrow office, or is it the signer (that was supposed to sign) that pays you? And how do you get paid, by check, do you have a Square, or some type of credit card scanner you use? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just trying to learn as much as I can before I start. TIA You're a total badass, and an inspiration. I too live in AZ!!

I had my 1st assignment on 11/20/2020 a Reverse Mortgage Loan Signing (application) over 250pgs. 1st I did not learn in my training or books, TH-cam etc. this important thing - Loan application vs actual closing as my experience as a brand new NSA I was stumped looking for where I sign and trying to make sure I didn't mess up right out the gate. I immediately found a Mentor (tip- I didn't get one until I was ready to do the signings so we could go over my actual paperwork and not scenarios - this way the money spent for the mentorship you can make back with said signing!). I discovered the reverse mortgage is 2 part/ first the application we just guide the older signer thru the application process there will be many blank pages/ as we learn never to notarize blank docs, so even in my trepidation I remembered the rule and thought well I will not notarize incomplete pages- so hopefully that is a tip if anyone else encounters this and is not sure. the 2nd part is the actual closing typically they try and use the same Notary that conducted the application when possible- so my case the signer took my business card (for a will and other GN work -score). I can not get my google business page listed (the struggle is real and Facebook wont let me post comments also snap docs has been verifying me for a month - smh!) i say all this to say I am at the beginning stage and not successful atm with my advertising - I am STILL receiving at least 5-10 offers a week I have a full time career and I CHOOSE not to work alot its the holiday season - I say all that to hopefully encourage ppl the money and jobs are definitely out here a Little effort takes you there a lot of effort well- Endless possibilities!!
This is great, Christina! The best advertising is relationship building. There's so many notaries out there, make them want to work with you because you're building that relationship. I'm so proud that you took your first signing! Reverse mortgages are a beast!

Thank you SO much for all of your videos. I just got my Notary commission in TX and signed up for the background check/NSA exam with NNA. I’m seriously considering signing up for the classes with Mark as well. I have been in property management for 8 years and just heard about loan signing agents last month. Super excited to get started and very grateful I found your channel. Question: what kind of laptop do you have?
Congrats on your accomplishments so far. I’m LSS certified but I’m so confused on what really to do next with all the info. Like do I signup/call all the signing services first? I just going to take the courses over 1 more time and pray that everything flows together. I feel like since I wasn’t a notary before I’m missing something. Thanks so much for the videos bc I look forward to hearing your experiences
I feel you, girl! I took the course twice. Once you feel like you understand the docs enough, sign up for signing services. It’ll take a week or two to get approved for some like snapdocs so you may want to try now!
I feel the same way. I'm procrastinating a bit because I don't have my commission. I go tomorrow to turn in my application. I'm done with the lss course but I'm a lil unsure of what I need to know know to get out here and get started because there's so much information. Can I just know the basics of the docs and start or do I have to know them like the back of my hand? Feeling a tad overwhelmed.
Rashida T it was so much information. In the training I was confused bc it talked about California stuff but I’m in sc an attorney state. I ask questions on the fb page but no one ever comments back 😣
@@kourtni1864 I guess for the most part docs are the same anywhere you live they may be called different things e.g. deed of trust vs. Mortgage etc. There may be a Facebook group for your state in Lss so maybe you can look for that. I'm in Michigan. But Mark also has TH-cam videos of his students that live in attorney states I'm not sure if anyone is from sc.
Rashida T yess I was able to connect with someone today from DC. He informed that the info covered in the course willl have us well prepared. Most important thing was to sign up for the services so that’s what I’ve been spending my morning doing. Just make sure you have your background check saved with your commission. Waiting on NNA to send my e&o proof now and I’ll have snap docs completed
It’s hard!! I took vacation time to film this for you all LOL I do marketing. I’m in the office a couple days a week and then work from home the rest of the days. My loan signing work is done in the morning, my lunch hour, evenings and weekends. I feel like I work all the time, but it’s worth it and I know it won’t always be like that :)
Don't be too hard on yourself. Everyone makes mistakes. Keep in mind that you're still new and learning. You said they may be able to do the missed signature by DocuSign. What if they can't? Will you have to go back out to the client to sign that one page? Will you be dinged on your pay for that signing because of the one you missed?
They were able to get that document docusigned. I would have gone out for free to get that page signed had they not been able to. No, my pay is not docked for that signing. :) I work for AWESOME signing services that understand mistakes happen and it's all about how the notary takes responsibility and initiative to fix it.
Honestly, I’m not super picky. I like a pen that I got while doing an in office signing at a title company. They had free pens and I like how it writes!
Love the videos! I know us new guys will eventually figure out what you mean, but right now I want to know some specifics, what are these scan backs and fedexs, and when do you find out these details?
You definitely inspire me, I want to be like you doing this notary signing agent. I get nervous, I’m on my 3rd signing 😁 how do you do to explain the documents?
Hi Kayla! Thank you so much for your videos, they have helped so much. I am still going through Mark's course, but i cant seem to fully grasp everything. Do you have any tips? Im also in Arizona :)
I appreciate you doing this channel for people like myself who are interested in this line of work part time (I have a full time already). In NC I have to take an 8 hour class at a community college which I won't be able to sign up for until after the holidays and then submit the application to the state. I am looking to clear around 500 to 1,000 a month after expenses if I can. Do you have to pay your own taxes out of what you get paid doing this and I assume you can deduct your mileage and some car maintenance costs? Thanks again for doing this channel and I wish you continued success and God Bless!
You are correct about taxes. You’ll owe on what you make, but a good accountant can help you with deductions! In AZ, you can deduct mileage, supplies, as well as $10 for every notarization you perform. Clearing $500-$1000 will be a walk in the park!
So if you head out and you’re out and about and you *ACCEPT* a signing while you’re out do you go back home to print the documents? Or do you carry a portable printer?
@@kaylabieber4663 I think you're doing an AMAZING job❣ 50 signings in addition to your F/T job? You're Wonder Woman😋. Also, I wondered the same thing re: a mobile/car Printer(TX). 1 more thing - are you set up as an LLC?
Your videos are super helpful!!! How much time do you plan between appointments? Also, would you recommend keeping fedex folders on hand? Have you used notary act app? Thanks for sharing!! :)
I just passed my NSA exam a few weeks ago. I have not yet had a signing. Suggestions on where to sign up to get signings? I see that you have to pay for some of these services, is this true? I am super nervous and doubting my abilities. I really like the suggestion of sticky notes with brief description of what the person is signing. I live here in Queen Creek, AZ.
Have you taken any loan signing courses outside of the NNA? I wouldn’t pay for any platforms unless it’s the $2.99 on signingorder.com to expand your zip codes. Try signature closers, snapdocs, notary cafe, signing order. Then google signing services near you :)
Loving the videos! I’ve finished my first two signings and have been planning to sign up for notary gadget, so I will use your link and sign up tonight! Question: did you find it difficult at first to get signings that worked around your full-time job? I don’t know if your hours are flexible at all, but mine aren’t and I’m not having much luck getting offers to do signings that work with my schedule. I do reply with my available time but have never received an appointment that way. Wondering if I might just need more signings completed to start seeing more offers. Keep up the great content!
It's been a year since your last writing. But I hope you are doing well now. I'm on the same boat right now -- unable to get assignments due to my work schedule.
Love your videos...I’m waiting on my county clerk office to mail my notary application back then send it to security of state, once I do so will be getting mark wills course. What scanner do you use? Can you list it for us?
I use a computer bag right now, but I have a new notary bag on my Christmas list! Hopefully Santa brings it to me and then I'll be able to show it off ;)
I got my certification I passed the NNA course the first one I finally got enough money together to order my stuff today and I do have a quick question about the test and a background check are they 65 each or are they together 65 for both??
Hi Kayla, great video and congrats on beating your Nov. goal. I have finished LSS and have passed the exam. Next step is NNA certification. Would you share what you put on your business cards? I 've used Vistaprint for business cards in the past for other reasons but felt they didn't have anything quite appropriate for loan signing.
Yes! I will do a marketing video and show you what I put on mine. It's very simple and by the way, don't feel like you need to wait to get started until you have business cards. I started and completed several weeks of signings without them.
May be a dumb question, but how did you learn what to look for on documents, like I have no idea what I would be looking for, to make sure things are correct and all in order? I know you took the LSS courses, but is that the only training you've had to learn all you had to learn? I have no prior real estate, escrow experience either (I saw you didn't either, in a video you did with Mark). But just nervous that I'll miss something and get in REAL trouble.
Thanks for telling me about Express. I’m a home health aide so I only wear sweats and hoodies so I didn’t know where to get business clothes to be a loan signer. I went to Express today and bought 3 nice shirts and a chunky necklace for $52. Thanks for letting me know. That store is great. 😃

Go Seahawks! Thank you for the support!
Your video encouraging and inspiring and gives me motivation the way you handling your daily business on the professional manner I watched most of your video , its very educational for every LSS student. Thank you to share your wonderful the truth experience.
Thank you for the support and commenting!
Thanks again! I started signing up for signing services a few days ago. Waiting for them to start rolling in. You really are inspiring. Thank you!
Awesome to hear, Yvette! You're progressing in your journey and that's exciting! Make sure to give those signing services a call! Once you do a few well then you'll be marked preferred.
@@kaylabieber4663 I should call the signing services? What should I say? Just ask for the status of my enrollment?
I would call and say you're available and would love to work with them! Say that you're in "bla blah" area and you'd be honored to complete their next assignment there. Have you taken the LSS course?
@@kaylabieber4663 I haven’t taken the LSS course. I’m a single mom with limited funds. That’s what made me fall in love with this business. I can make a good living for my daughter and me.
You absolutely can! I was asking to gauge what you may know about the course so I could reference it. He talks a lot about how to get business and scripts to use. It's worked for me!
Where I’m at : FL notary waiting for my long overdue stamp (both NNA and Amazon taking 2-3 weeks). Passed LSS and am at 75% complete in the course. I have my Brother dual tray MFP ready to go. I’m in www.signing agent.com and had to turn down my first call because I don’t have my stamp. NNA still needs to provide proof of my E&O before I can become SnapDocs verified.
I am in the research phase. Just about ready to take the leap. Your videos are sooo helpful!
I'm so glad! Reach out if you have more questions.
Thank you! My wife is in the process of submitting her application and possibly ordering the Mark Wills program AND she'll use your affiliate through Signing Gadget.
Awesome! Where do you guys live? Thanks for using my affiliate link! I appreciate the support.
Thank you for your videos. They have inspired me to push forward with my Notary business. I have been struggling with where to start and how to start. I have searched all I can with my state of Utah, there are very few information on starting or growing as a signing agent. I am now in the process of obtaining my commission with my state. Soon will be starting courses on LLS and obtaining my certification for signing agent. I am also thinking about starting a TH-cam channel and recording my progress and journal as well.
I wish the best of luck for you and your business. Thank you again for your knowledge and hard work.
Awesome to hear from you, Cordell! Good luck on the beginning of your journey! Let me know how it goes and if you have any questions you think I can help you with.
Hi!!! Love your channel!!! You are doing great, glade you didn't let those little hiccups keep you discourage long. I'm in TN waiting on my commission. In the meantime I'm taking a notary course and lian signing agent course to prepare! Once again love your videos, keep rocking out!

WOW, KAYLA, MY NAME IS DORIS AND I AM JUST STARTING AND YOUR VIDEO IS AMAZINGLY HELPFUL TO ME. I AM LITERALLY SCRABBLING FOR HELP. I HAVE SUBSCRIBED TO YOUR CHANNEL AND I AM DEFINITELY SIGNING UP TO YOUR NOTARY GADGET.THANKS FOR YOUR GENEROUS HELP!
Love the videos.....I'm currently waiting on my date to swear in which is the 9th of December. Already enrolled in LSS so i gotta start buckling down and studying after I'm done with my full-time job. And I've already inquired about my E&O with BiBerk...thank you for the great content. Maybe one day I'll be able to speak you if possible since you're becoming a TH-cam sensation! Keep it love.
You're well on your way to becoming and LSA! That's so exciting! Thank you so much for the support!

@@kaylabieber4663 thanks so much.....I'll keep you posted
Just enrolled today with LSS🤗🤗🤗
Keep the videos coming! You're doing fabulous!
Thank you so much for all of you support, Diana!

What do you have on your business card beside your name, phone and email? Do you call yourself a notary, or a loan signing agent?
I say I'm a certified loan signing agent. I keep it super plain and simple. I like clean designs. I'll show what I did on mine for my next video!
Awesome video! I am going to start soon as well. Been learning and watching videos. Keep it up!

Can you do a video of the loan signing services that you use pleaseeee
Thank you SO much for all of your videos. I just got my Notary commission in TX and signed up for the background check/NSA exam with NNA. I’m seriously considering signing up for the classes with Mark as well. I have been in property management for 8 years and just heard about loan signing agents last month. Super excited to get started and very grateful I found your channel. Question: what kind of laptop do you have?
I have an HP laptop 2-in-1 :) I just bought it and love it!!
Hi Kayla! I enjoy watching your shows!! I'm thinking about becoming a notary .
You should! It's been an incredible oppoortunity for me! I think you'd love it.
@@kaylabieber4663 Thank you!
Oh those days that pretty much everything goes wrong, lol I’ve had many of those
AWESOME Vid!!!! Keep up the good work!
I'm loving your content. Loved this Life in a day. Can I ask what you do at your 9-5? I'm just amazed you can do this and have a job at the same time.
@@kaylabieber4663 And you also have your doggie to look after. I admire your multitasking and efficiency
I went through your link babe for Notary Gadget. Get that $$!!
Girl thank you 😭🙏🏼❤️ I appreciate your support!!!
what pens do you like to use when you sign? Not ones that you would give a signer but one that YOU personally like to use?
Honestly, I’m not super picky. I like a pen that I got while doing an in office signing at a title company. They had free pens and I like how it writes!
Love the videos! I know us new guys will eventually figure out what you mean, but right now I want to know some specifics, what are these scan backs and fedexs, and when do you find out these details?
Hi Kayla! I’ve been enjoying binge watching your content. So much help information! What type of laptop did you decide on for purchase?
You definitely inspire me, I want to be like you doing this notary signing agent. I get nervous, I’m on my 3rd signing 😁 how do you do to explain the documents?
Hi Lizbeth! You're so sweet! You'll be feeling confident in no time. Did you take a loan signing course?

Thank you!! I'm so glad I've gotten good feedback! This was my first one!
@@kaylabieber4663 yess you should do more 😊😊😊
I do go back home to print. I don't have a mobile printer set up in my car because of the heat in Arizona. I don't think the equipment would work.
@@kaylabieber4663 Thank you!!!
@@kaylabieber4663 I think you're doing an AMAZING job❣ 50 signings in addition to your
F/T job?
Excellent video i love day in the life video and love the intro 👍👍👍❤️❤️
Thank you so much 🙏🏼🤩
Love your videos...I’m waiting on my county clerk office to mail my notary application back then send it to security of state, once I do so will be getting mark wills course. What scanner do you use? Can you list it for us?
It’s listed in the description of this video :) Here’s the link to the scanner: amzn.to/3pDL1wQP
Kayla I love the tips on taking snacks with you but I have a question what kind of bag do you use a tote or a regular rolling office??
Thanks I look forward to that. I wasn't even thinking about business cards when I started this but it's probably a good idea.
I love your shirt where did you get it? It looks so professional 🤩😃
Express last year! Almost all of my clothes are from Express!
Wooo! Isn't it great? So many great basics for work. They have great sales too! Especially around the Holidays.
