Great video, David! You’re doing an awesome job, educating us for free! Most of the TH-cam channels on watches are hot air, you have the knowledge and passion to. Take care! Best regards from Switzerland 🙋🏼♂️
Great video, really nice format👍
Great video and appreciate your passion and knowledge.
I started getting into watches in the 90s and also value their cleaner, smaller and thinner designs.
I’m now collecting more from that period up to 2005 and pleased to see they’re being appreciated now.
Great format ..thank you david !
Great video David, I did not realize that about the second hand on the Lange, that is absolutely amazing 👍🏻
What a great video!!!! Thanks David
Excellent as usual. Always good advise.
I like the vintage-inspired design, I just have a hard time with the size. My height and build really lends itself to larger watches, lest they look "dainty" on me.
Agree on the zero reset being a very cool feature. I haven't stepped up to Lange yet, but several of my Panerai have this (all based around the p. 20xx movement). I really enjoy seeing the second hand jump to the "60" each time I set the watch. More brands should incorporate this useful touch.
Speaking of Panerai and a more vintage aesthetic, maybe that is part of the appeal for me. I have some of the mid to late-2000's Panerai in my collection and they very much have a vintage feel. Some of my favorites in the collection for sure!
Hi David
I hope you and all your family and all the team are keeping healthy positive and having a great week. Another in-depth video keep the positive content flowing enjoy the rest of your evening and week ahead filled with joy happiness kindness love and with positive Energy and gratitude 🙏 best wishes
Thanks, much appreciated. Best wishes 🙏👍
Love your content. You know your stuff really well and not just presenting material to flood the algos or ride the recent watch craze. Would love it if you can cover Vacheron. What modern watch(es) would you consider good value for money? Could you suggest some modern/neo-vintage watches at different budget levels?
Enjoyable video,Cartier would be nice to see more of.
I love your content. Your sincere and you’re sharing your experience with us. Keep it up.
Cracking video David and I am with you all the way regarding the Submariner. I have always felt that the maxi case looks totaly out of proportion . Sneaking into your neo vintage is my Omega Seamaster 2254.50. It slips under the cuff and no blingy ceramic bezel , perfection. The modern version isn't in the same league in my opinion. Slipping just below your neo vintage window is my oldest wrist watch a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date 1500 from 1965 , understated and tells me what the time is !! and gets a helluva lot of wrist time.
David, T4YC. I held a 2006 Submariner at auction recently, and I was shocked at how basic it felt. I think it had been round the clock a few times, and the bracelet was very wobbly. But it really didn't make me feel anything other than worry. I think Omega has shown their class, as their 60's watches still feel solid.
Thanks for.your journey.
Good job David..
I’d like to see separate videos breaking down each watch maker, starting with Piaget.
Great upload pleasure to view 👍
Hi David
I’ve got a longines moonphase retrograde watch .
It’s has 4 complications ..
What’s your opinion on them and do you think they will hold their value?
Thanks
David, thanking you for sharing your knowledge and why you love 1970-2000 Rolexes. They are beautiful and built by true craftsman. As the craftsman from this period retire, I am wondering if Rolex can not find enough craftsman to replace them and keep up producing over 1 million watches. If so, then the watches made during this period will be more appreciated.
What is your view about Panerai? I will drop by at your store one Saturday. Hopefully I will be able to see you in person.
Totally true the watch market is completely dead. Let’s get discount now it’s time
Very nice 👌
To your point about packaging, Breitling is the absolute worst offender with their new “eco friendly” box. It’s an absolute joke for a “luxury brand” to deliver a $6-20k watch in that box, and the worst part is that they do it under thr guise of being eco friendly.
Respect
Thank you for your content, very enjoyable
You asked for video suggestions. How about in-depth on Vacheron near vintage or vintage models that offer value.
You should buy what you like, the question if you buy from AD or secondary market
Personally I will never touch secondary market again... just sponsoring the flippers.
Tudor are worth a chat 👍
I only buy Rolex’s from my AD for investment purposes, and I’m not ashamed of it…
You are simply the best. Genuinen, honest, knowledgeable and great guy
The quality of your contents continues to improve. 👊👊👊
I prefer the long videos... I understand more and more from your videos
Does anyone know what happened to Paul Thorpe? He seems to have gone on unhinged rants and become a hateful old man.
Maybe it always was more about the attention than the watches. Feeding hate draws views.
Paul Thorpe aka The Closet Racist
I'm Sure It Wasn't Long Ago He Was Moving Abroad, How Ironic🤡
After the TPG fiasco and his endless lying, he turned to his favourite subject. Making Britain great again. David doesn't want to discuss his old best chum...hope this helps
@@vinnyc126 Brexit bullshiter moves to Spain....😂😂😂
I thought I was the only one. Enjoyed the watch chat but couldn't get on with everything lately
Rolex, are you listening??
Tsgwmid😂😂😂😂😂🎉🎉
No one is buying watches. The market is dead 💀
For anyone reading the comment above for the 100th time and believing it, know this, I too believed it. So I set about selling some watches I've bought over the last three years from an authorised dealer. Not "investment watches" (I.e. not rolex, not patek).
I sold all 4 in less than a week and after ebay fees made a good profit on each one.
I then reflected on these dealers working in a supposedly "dead market". They look like they are doing alright for themselves and I'm yet to see David selling big issues.
I think the market is doing OK. Don't believe the negative hype. It ain't January 2022, but the market is just fine.
Take care people
Not true, just sold a Datejust 36 Wimbledon, blue dial Sky-Dweller and a Submariner 16610 just today. But, nobody is buying watches. 😂
@@WatchesOnWoodselling 4 watches on ebay is equivalent to dead. Aka: offloading
@@BobbyDazzler888 I have 70 watches and feel 'guilty' about having so many that go unworn so wanted to consolidate the collection so I can enjoy fewer with less 'guilt'
Hardly offloading, but inevitably you will enter this with you bias
I think the watch market is neither dead nor booming, it's somewhere in the middle.
Prices of "Hype Watches" have tanked as predicted by many, but people are still trading watches and the market is far from dead - the prices have dropped but profit margins remain.
